Oh wait.
Something caught the devil’s mind.
“He taught you this?” His smile froze and his hands flinched.
“I learned it myself.” Lu Zhaoyang presumed she would be grilled well-done if she mentioned either Chen or her mother being the one who taught her how to cook. Therefore, she gave a pretty safe reply.
“Clever Zhaoyang. Even Gordon Ramsay would shy away from you. How fortunate, I have a Michelin chef in my house.”
The compliment was no doubt ignored, as the master chef herself began digging in. The broth satisfied her hunger in the middle of the night, in which she decided to exert dominance, “Huo Yunting, the dishes.”
“What did you say?” Huo Yunting wiped his mouth as he lifted his glaring eyes.
Did I just hear my woman asking me to wash the dishes? We have maids with names from A to Z and she asked me to do the dishes for her?
“Sh*t,” muttered Lu Zhaoyang at her reckless words. She almost forgot how much of an alpha devil the man in front of her was. She got up quickly, collected the dishes and zapped into the kitchen before she was sent further down into the underworld. However, it was a shocker that Huo Yunting literally cleaned the entire plate.
“Put them down.”
“The heck is wrong with you? I just want the dishes washed. In peace.” His woman did not put back the dishes. She walked away.
“Your hands are too good for dirty dishes. Let them be. We don’t have a troupe of Mary Poppins here for singing and dancing!” Ordered Huo Yunting, as his hand seized Zhaoyang, “Come on!” He shouted.
“Fine!” The syllable was dragged in annoyance, before it trailed off at the stairs when the devil dragged the lady upstairs.
She could feel his neediness. She could almost smell it, a major red flag, “I just had dinner. I don’t want to have indigestions over an intensive workout.” She thought that would hold back the devil, but it only prompted a change of plan.
“Well,” he locked the door and pressed her onto it. His warming breath whispered, “Don’t get too excited yet, kitty. We have a whole night to wait for you to digest all that.”
“Can I eat for the whole night then?”
“… Lu Zhaoyang, did you have your heart eaten?” He pulled her collars and took a careful look at her bosom, “Let Doctor Huo inspect you. Maybe your heart isn’t in there anymore.”
“I cooked you supper to return the favor since you said you don’t want a verbal appreciation yourself. There, what you need to claim is right in there.” Lu Zhaoyang smiled, “So, I would appreciate if you could return to your room now.”
Godd*mmit, I’ve been fooled!
“Lu Zhaoyang, you!”
“What about me? I did cook the dinner with my heart. So, you don’t have to look for it anymore. Plus, it’s late. We have work to do tomorrow. Good night~” She briefly smiled and waved the devil goodbye.
“Honey…” Huo Yunting did not take away his hands while his salutation sounded all soury and pitiful.
Lu Zhaoyang could not help but shudder at those puppy eyes. Her hands tried pushing the man by his stomach, “Just go to your bed already. Stop thinking about all this nonsense. I mean, I almost thought you’re an overfed polar bear when I looked at your stomach.”
Huo Yunting nearly snapped at her ridiculous comment.
You are pushing my eight dancing abs right now, woman. And you called me fat?
“What kind of reason is that?”
I knew it’s a really dumb reason but I’m out of cards seriously! Just spare me for tonight for Pete’s sake!
“To be honest, my back hurts. My wrist hurts too, you held it too hard. My chest feels cold and are not nice to touch. My stomach feels too full from the meal just now. Now, my head feels too dizzy for intensive squats. My entire body feels wrong but don’t you worry, I’ll be fine after tonight. So, please, for the lord of Eros and Satan, please spare me.”
Huo Yunting pulled her further into the room while releasing his grip.
Lu Zhaoyang felt joyful over the taste of liberation, till she stumbled upon the hand holding her forehead. The man stared. She caught the meaning of his gesture, “I’m not having a fever.”
“Right, you are not having a fever but maybe I am.” He glanced at her, his hand dragging her into the room, “Shower and bed.”
