Chapter 3867: Who Is Pink?

Chapter 3867: Who Is Pink?

High Elder Palm Saber looked toward the closed doors.

"But our sect does not allow children to cultivate to the Nascent Soul Realm before reaching an appropriate stage of physical growth."

The rule was an old one.

A cultivator’s physical appearance usually became fixed after reaching the Nascent Soul Realm. While methods existed to alter one’s appearance afterward, deliberately allowing children to advance too quickly was generally discouraged.

The Heavenly Stream Guardian Sect enforced this more strictly than many other organizations due to there having been certain concerning incidents in the past. They had been big enough that it had been discouraged entirely.

"Exactly." High Elder Shatter Peak replied. "A ten year old Immortal shouldn’t exist here."

"Unless the appearance is fake."

"An illusion?"

"Possible."

"Or a disguise technique."

High Elder Palm Saber nodded. "Also possible."

The two looked toward Peak Head Mountain Roar, but the old man remained seated. His expression had become unreadable.

High Elder Shatter Peak narrowed his eyes. "Peak Head?"

All he got was silence. High Elder Palm Saber and High Elder Shatter Peak exchanged glances as the lack of an answer was beginning to concern them.

High Elder Palm Saber spoke again. "Our outer regions aren’t restricted."

Peak Head Mountain Roar remained silent.

"Anyone can technically enter." High Elder Palm Saber continued. "But who actually does?"

High Elder Shatter Peak snorted. "Administrative disciples, servants, sometimes Beast Division members, and of course the Janitorial Division."

High Elder Shatter Peak scratched his beard. "Mostly Janitorial Division."

High Elder Palm Saber sighed. "Unfortunately."

The Wild Peak’s outer territories were open. There were no barriers preventing other members of the sect from entering. Still, most disciples deliberately avoided the region. The reason was simple.

Wild Peak disciples trained everywhere.

A peaceful forest could suddenly become a training ground. A mountain cliff could collapse because someone decided to test a new fist technique. Two disciples could begin sparring without warning. Even powerful Inner Court disciples preferred avoiding such trouble.

"If she isn’t from the Wild Peak, why was she wandering around here alone?" High Elder Shatter Peak asked.

High Elder Palm Saber nodded. "And Little Bull said he didn’t hear her arrive."

"Little Bull’s senses aren’t refined."

"His instincts are."

High Elder Shatter Peak became silent as that was true. Little Bull had demonstrated remarkable instincts during the recruitment assessment. A person capable of approaching him unnoticed was unlikely to be ordinary.

The two High Elders looked at Peak Head Mountain Roar again.

Finally, the old man spoke. "You cannot talk about the girl."

The hall became completely silent as High Elder Shatter Peak’s expression hardened and High Elder Palm Saber slowly straightened his back.

"Peak Head?" High Elder Shatter Peak asked.

"Do not investigate." Peak Head Mountain Roar said, his voice stern. "Do not ask other Elders."

The two High Elders remained silent.

"Do not search the records."

High Elder Palm Saber’s eyes narrowed. "That serious?"

Peak Head Mountain Roar looked at him, and the High Elder immediately stopped speaking. There was no killing intent, and no pressure filled the hall. Peak Head Mountain Roar had not released even a trace of his Transcendent vitality.

Still, High Elder Palm Saber understood, the matter had crossed a boundary. High Elder Shatter Peak understood as well, for neither man was foolish. Sure, they were eccentric and violent. They ignored sect protocols frequently.

And they had caused enough trouble to give generations of Discipline and Law Division members nightmares. Still, both were High Elders and had lived for thousands of years. They understood when something was beyond their authority.

Peak Head Mountain Roar closed his eyes. "The girl is irrelevant to you."

High Elder Shatter Peak frowned. "Is Little Bull in danger?"

Peak Head Mountain Roar opened his eyes. "No."

The answer came immediately and High Elder Shatter Peak relaxed. High Elder Palm Saber also released a quiet breath.

"Then that’s enough." High Elder Shatter Peak said.

Peak Head Mountain Roar nodded and the conversation ended. Yet curiosity remained within the minds of both High Elders. A mysterious pink haired girl had entered the Wild Peak. She could hide her presence and she possessed an Immortal cultivation base.

What was of even more interest to them was that she ate half an entire Root Turner Boar. And Peak Head Mountain Roar, one of the few Transcendent Immortals of the Heavenly Stream Guardian Sect, refused to even speak about her.

High Elder Palm Saber glanced at High Elder Shatter Peak and the man glanced back. Neither spoke, but they both had the same thought.

’Who the hell is Pink?’

After leaving the main hall, Lin Mu did not immediately head toward the mess hall despite telling the Elders that he wanted to eat first.

He stopped outside for a few moments and looked around the massive courtyard complex, thinking about what he needed to do next. Peak Head Mountain Roar had practically handed him the perfect excuse for his future actions, though Lin Mu knew an excuse only worked if there was some truth supporting it.

He needed people to see Little Bull cultivating.

If Little Bull disappeared for days at a time and suddenly returned with greater control over his vitality, someone might eventually grow suspicious. The Wild Peak was incredibly lax, though its members were far from stupid.

Several of the Elders here possessed thousands of years of experience in body cultivation, and Peak Head Mountain Roar himself was a Transcendent Immortal level body cultivator. Lin Mu had fooled the man once.

He did not intend to test how many times he could do it.

As such, Little Bull ate another meal before wandering into the forest and finding a large clearing that had clearly been used as a training area before. There were shattered boulders scattered everywhere, while several trees had been snapped in half.

One particularly large tree had hundreds of fist imprints covering its trunk, making Lin Mu wonder which disciple had spent enough time punching the same tree to create so many marks.

"This should work." Little Bull muttered and sat down directly upon the ground.
