Chapter 3744: Absolute Body Control Art

Chapter 3744: Absolute Body Control Art

Lin Mu remained silent for a while as the names floated in his thoughts.

’Separate techniques, separate methods, yet all belonged to one whole.’ Lin Mu pondered on it before he slowly smiled.

"Absolute Body Control Art."

The words felt right.

This technique lacked the convenience of illusion arts.

It lacked the speed of disguise methods.

Yet it possessed something they never could.

Truth.

The changes were real.

Bones changed. Muscles changed. Skin changed. No illusion existed. No concealment layer existed. Detection methods would find nothing because there was nothing to find. The body itself became different.

"Absolute."

The name suited it.

Lin Mu immediately began making notes.

Detailed records appeared.

Principles.

Applications.

Limitations.

Pain thresholds.

Transformation speed.

Potential improvements.

He noted one major issue.

Practice was essential.

He needed adaptation.

Perhaps repeated use would reduce pain. Perhaps completing the Wood Core would help. Perhaps entirely new methods would appear later. The technique was incomplete. Still, foundations had formed.

Lin Mu stored the notes and finally checked the time.

"This long?" He blinked.

More than a month had passed.

His jade slip appeared.

Messages flooded his vision.

Meng Bai.

Daoist Chu.

Cattaleya.

Lady Kang.

Even a few dwarven elders.

Thankfully nobody seemed worried. Most assumed he was cultivating. Lin Mu stood and left his quarters.

Mantleheim remained lively as always. The rivers of magma flowed. Hammers rang. The air carried heat and metal scents.

He searched for everyone and asked arouund. He learned that Meng Bai and Daoist Chu were inside the library. Probably buried beneath formation manuals again.

Cattaleya was exactly where expected: Drinking.

Several dwarves surrounded her while cheering loudly. Someone had apparently challenged her to arm wrestling again. Lin Mu quietly left before getting dragged into it.

Elyon remained absent, though his aura could be sensed in the distance.

"He’s training." Lin Mu detected.

Thus only one person remained: Lady Kang.

Lin Mu headed toward the residence assigned to her. The room resembled a miniature office now. Documents floated everywhere. Jade slips stacked into small mountains. Scrolls covered tables.

Min Ju sat nearby organizing materials with frightening speed.

She looked up immediately.

"Daoist Lin Mu."

Lin Mu nodded.

"I came to check on Lady Kang."

Min Ju smiled.

"I will prepare tea."

Lin Mu entered and saw Lady Kang sitting behind a large desk. She wore simpler robes today. Even so, she still carried the same elegance. Her attention remained fixed on several floating ledgers.

"Busy?" Lin Mu asked.

Lady Kang looked up and smiled faintly.

"Always."

"What are you doing?"

"Account errors." She replied calmly.

Lin Mu sat opposite her.

"Can I help?"

Lady Kang raised a brow.

Then nodded.

Several jade slips floated toward him.

"Compare these entries and mark inconsistencies."

Lin Mu accepted them.

At first glance they looked absurd.

Trade records.

Material inventories.

Transport manifests.

Sales ledgers.

Profit reports.

Warehouse counts.

Thousands upon thousands of entries.

Min Ju returned with tea and looked curious.

And ten minutes later... Lin Mu placed the slips down.

"I’m done."

Silence.

Lady Kang looked up.

Min Ju froze.

"...Done?"

Lin Mu nodded.

Lady Kang checked.

Then checked again.

Her brows rose.

Mistakes had already been marked.

Missing entries.

Incorrect sums.

Transport discrepancies.

Duplicated reports.

Even minor accounting deviations.

Everything had been organized neatly.

Lady Kang looked genuinely impressed.

"Even if you stop cultivating..." she said with amusement, "...you would make an excellent accountant."

Lin Mu chuckled.

"I had help."

His spiritual sense and mental capabilities had become absurd long ago. Compared to Dao comprehension and formation analysis, this was simple.

Still, he stayed as hours passed.

Tea was replaced repeatedly as documents moved, Lady Kang worked and Lin Mu assisted. Min Ju occasionally joined and for the first time, Lin Mu truly saw how the Great Kang Clan operated.

It was enormous.

Trade routes stretched across courts.

Multiple divisions handled different products.

Weapon sales.

Alchemy.

Beauty products.

Transportation.

Mining.

Luxury goods.

Information networks.

Everything was interconnected. One missing shipment affected ten others. One delay influenced profits across worlds. And Lady Kang controlled it all.

Lin Mu watched quietly and saw how her decisions came quickly while orders moved instantly. Profits were balanced against risk, markets analyzed and future investments planned. Even while sitting here she managed fleets spread across the Immortal Realm.

Lin Mu found it fascinating.

Eventually he asked.

"Do you ever rest?"

Lady Kang paused.

Min Ju quietly looked away.

Lady Kang smiled.

"Business rests when I die."

Lin Mu blinked.

"That sounds exhausting."

"It is."

She continued working.

"But I enjoy it."

Lin Mu understood.

This was her cultivation.

Not Dao.

Not battle.

Business.

Building.

Expanding.

Creating.

Their paths differed greatly. Yet he respected it.

Several more hours passed like this and eventually Lady Kang stretched slightly.

"Enough work."

Min Ju looked relieved.

Lady Kang looked at Lin Mu.

"You learn quickly."

Lin Mu smiled.

"I had a good teacher."

She laughed softly.

"Then next time I’ll give you harder work."

Lin Mu suddenly regretted helping.

In the back of his mind, Lin Mo spoke again.

"From Fatty Mu..."

Lin Mu already knew where this was going.

"...to Accountant Mu."

Lin Mu immediately severed the connection again.

Across from him Lady Kang looked up strangely.

"Something wrong?"

Lin Mu took a sip of tea.

"Nothing."

Absolutely nothing.

Lady Kang was unaware of the internal conflict and continued drinking tea.

After an hours break, Lin Mu began helping her again but this time their work changed. Instead of accounts, Lin Mu helped her figure out which products and items seemed viable for selling.

Of course Lin Mu had little idea about the different markets in the entire immortal realm, but there was one thing he could help with.

Cultivation techniques and skills.

Lin Mu showed that certain techniques from one world could be helped to solve issues in other worlds. He even recommended her to split up some skills and techniques into different sections so that they could be sold for better profits.

Lady Kang brightened up after hearing that and quickly began noting it all down.
