As a large number of chaos beasts rushed over, Su Yu's cold voice rang out, "Are all the myriad races dead?"

Thunderstorm and Heavenly Fate Marquis acted. In the blink of an eye, they killed a large number of chaos beasts.
The tiger was truly furious. But just as he was about to rage, his eyes flickered as he gave Su Yu a deep gaze. Su Yu smiled and transmitted, "Brother Tiger, time to head deeper. You should start fleeing.
"A large number of chaos beasts have arrived. Bring them under your wing and take this chance to win more trust from Control King's lineage. Getting closer to them will only help with your goal."
Su Yu was speaking like he had done everything for the tiger. But before the tiger could move, a rumble rang out. Su Yu swung his arm, creating a five elemental cage and numerous chains around the tiger.
The tiger cursed inwardly.

Was this an act? Or was this guy trying to kill him for real?

He was a smart tiger. He understood what Su Yu was thinking. They weren't clear friends, but they weren't clear enemies either. If Su Yu could kill him, fine. If not, he would claim that it was all an act. The tiger knew because he harbored the exact same thought.
Sure enough, the humans were treacherous.
The tiger did not have the luxury to think too much. He roared, "Retreat!"
With a flap of his wings, the cage shattered, allowing the tiger to escape. Not far away, the dragon transformed into his original form and sent Thunderstorm flying with a tail-whip before flying away with a bunch of chaos beasts.
Su Yu did not hold back and started killing the fleeing chaos beasts. In the blink of an eye, the four Venerables killed nearly twenty Daofuse beasts.
When Su Yu sent another blade attack out, Venerable Dragon's expression changed as he roared, "Stop!"
Only then did Su Yu stop. When he looked over, Venerable Dragon demanded, "What are you doing?"
A shaking dragon could be seen in front of Su Yu.
Su Yu focused on the dragon before exclaiming, "A celestial dragon? Damn! I thought this was a chaos beast! You all look the same! Honestly, I thought the dragons were extinct. Now I know. There are some survivors."
"Su Yu!" Venerable Dragon raged. "What do you want? Return my Coiling Dragon Mountain!"
Su Yu asked, "What mountain? What did I take from you? Stop slandering me. By the way, you lot are truly useless. You spent such a long time fighting, but you killed fewer than twenty Daofuses. You have more than ten Venerables on your side. Why are you so useless?"
"Leave!"
With an order from Su Yu, his group vanished again. He did not bother staying as he was also worried that the myriad races would take this chance to encircle him. Only when he was gone did the myriad races get the chance to check the battlefield.
With a frown, Venerable Moon said, "He took all the corpses with him...including the corpses of our people."
The myriad races had killed about twenty chaos beasts, but they had also lost seven or eight Daofuses. A majority of them had died with an intact corpse. The corpses were supposed to be collected after the battle was over, but Su Yu had stolen all the corpses while they were busy fighting.

He was taking advantage of everyone.
However, Tiangu couldn't spare any thought for the theft. Instead, he gazed into the distance and asked, "Everyone, do we keep waiting? Seven Venerables. Including the two chaos beasts, there are nine. They also have a pseudo Master of Law. Do we keep waiting? Are we supposed to wait until their Master of Law is out as well?"
He was getting irritated. He had lost in the Lower Realm, but he had still been very decisive down there. He never hesitated when it came to facing Su Yu. Thus, he couldn't stand the way those of the Upper Realm fought.
With more than ten Venerables on their side, they refused to push forth. Rather, they kept waiting until Su Yu was done fighting.

Tiangu cursed inwardly. He sincerely thought of these people as trash. Were they really trying to wait until the Master of Law was out? Even Su Yu was already gone. He could see that the myriad races were still hesitating. Since he was in no rush, he happily left after gaining a tiny profit from the battle. It wasn't like he had actually lost anyone.
In fact, Heavenbridge Marquis would probably grow into a Venerable after consuming several gates. In short, this was a profitable endeavor for Su Yu. He did not have to feel too frustrated about the result.
What about the myriad races? They had lost several Daofuses and gained nothing.
Consort Emeritus frowned as well. "Everyone, that Ancestor from Control King's lineage is clearly staying behind to summon someone. Are we really going to keep waiting?"
They were unused to the style of the myriad races up here. They were too indecisive. Yes. Indecisive. Those in the Lower Realm were far more straightforward. Yes, they had been defeated by Su Yu. After a short silence, Venerable Moon said, "We definitely need to fight. But we need to consider our potential losses..."
Tiangu was furious. He shut his mouth. He had seen this coming. These people kept hemming and hawing about everything. He was sick of this.

Su Yu gazed in the direction of the myriad races as he sank into thought. After a long while, he said, "Those from the Upper Realm have lived so well that they have crippled themselves.
"Six thousand years of domination. Six thousand years of play-fighting. As a result, they can no longer fight decisively."
Play-fighting.
That was Su Yu's conclusion. March wanted to say something, but he couldn't think of anything. That was true. All those battles had essentially been fake battles.
The myriad races had spent six thousand years fighting in the Dao Origin Land, but very few had died. Prior to the ninth epoch, humanity was still powerful in the Upper Realm. At the time, everyone fought for real. A Daofuse would die every few years.
That was why the number of Daofuses had been limited prior to the ninth epoch. But after the ninth epoch, three hundred years could pass without a single Daofuse dead.
Their lives had been too comfortable.

At the very least, those in the Lower Realm had spent the past four hundred or so years in constant battles.
Su Yu sighed and said, "They are far more useless than expected. I thought that they would move when we fought. Tiangu, or Jiwu, or even Mo Ji, should have led their people forward. But it didn't happen."
This was a surprising result for Su Yu. He had expected the myriad races to charge forth and prevent Control King's lineage from completing their summoning. But nothing happened. That was why Su Yu had decided to withdraw. What an unreliable partner.
Suddenly, Su Yu laughed. "What if...this is Hundred Battle's plan as well? That would be terrifying."

As everyone looked at him, he continued muttering, "Six thousand years of peace. The myriad races have never been too united in the first place. After six thousand years of internal competition and fake battles, they are now wary of each other. How strong can the current myriad races be?"
Su Yu had seen through the myriad races. They were strong in appearance but weak in reality. This was the perfect interpretation of the myriad races.
After a short silence, March said, "They might even be stronger separate. Together, they lack a proper leader, resulting in a drop of strength."
Su Yu nodded.
Exactly. At times, numbers did not guarantee strength. Su Yu had a feeling that the myriad races would probably be stronger independently. Was this a demonstration of everybody's business is nobody's business?

They were worse than even the Lower Realm myriad races. At the very least, Tiangu had the leadership position down there. He could make the choice in decisive battles. The myriad races had been willing to fight with all their strength down there. But up here, everyone was busy going through the motions.
"What now, Your Majesty?" March asked.
They hadn't gained much from the previous battle. With the myriad races refusing to fight, they couldn't start another fight. Seven Venerables and twelve heavenly kings were still too challenging for them.
Were they supposed to keep attacking and serve as cannon fodder for the myriad races? Su Yu gazed in the direction of Control King's lineage. A large number of powerhouses could be seen. All of them were on high alert. They had even surrounded themselves in a formation.
Su Yu chuckled and said, "Well, we don't necessarily need to defeat Control King's lineage. The myriad races are too useless. I doubt they can keep waiting after the Master of Law emerges."
Su Yu narrowed his eyes and added, "If the myriad races remain so useless, when the Master of Law appears, we will take the chance to kill anyone we can and collect some corpses. Even the myriad race Venerables can be killed. In that situation, everyone will be our enemy. When we're done, we can return to my world and flee. What is there to fear?"
Everyone was stunned. Su Yu was truly fickle. Had he changed his target so soon?

The tiger cursed inwardly.
Treacherous humans!
The humans were clearly treating them as cannon fodder. They had lost so many chaos beasts, yet the humans still refused to join their armies.
He answered, "Sure. But you need to fight when they attack. I don't want to fight those lunatics alone."
"That is only natural." Yue Luo smiled. This would make things a lot safer for them. Yu Qing would be out in a few hours.
The dragon transmitted, "Eight-winged, what is Su Yu trying to do? He nearly killed you earlier..."
"Don't worry about it. We were never true allies. Be careful, Brother Dragon. We only have each other to trust here. Anyone else can't be trusted. The humans are treacherous, and the myriad races aren't good people either. This Control King's lineage is also not a faction of kind souls."
