Gu Jin let out a derisive chuckle, clearly showing her disdain.
Her sister had been by her side all day. Feng Jue was utterly inept and seething with anger.
Feng Jue sped deliberately, hoping to ditch Gu Jin, but Gu Jin quickly caught up.
Gu Yang was taken aback by the gust of wind.
The evening study session took place in a small classroom in the north building. Students were grouped by class and required to sign in. The counselor would occasionally pop in to check on things.
Gu Yang brought her Advanced Mathematics homework to tackle.
Unlike high school, they didn’t have to spend all day on assignments. There wasn’t much homework either; they could usually finish it the same day.
The campus square was bustling on this particular Saturday, with umbrellas set up.
The class monitor, Qiao Manman, had informed everyone in the class group chat early that morning about club recruitment happening that Saturday.
Upon returning to the dormitory, Gu Jin even found a pile of club advertising flyers waiting for her.

Qiao Manman handed Gu Yang a stack of flyers. “Yangyang, take a look and see if any clubs catch your eye. I’m thinking of applying to the school committee and a street dance club.”
Su Ziyun, who had come looking for Tong Jiayin, overheard and asked, “Manman, aren’t you planning to join the Student Union?”
After a moment’s thought, Qiao Manman replied, “I might apply for that too. Let’s see how the interviews go.”
Street dancing was her passion, but she also prioritized her studies, so joining two clubs seemed manageable.
Su Ziyun was surprised that Qiao Manman had changed her mind so easily after just a casual mention.
“I’m planning to apply to those two clubs as well. What about you, Jiayin?” Su Ziyun asked Tong Jiayin. “Do you want to join us? We could be companions.”
“It’s boring. I’m not going,” Tong Jiayin replied. With her prominent family background, she wasn’t the heir to the Tong family, but she was guaranteed a share of the family assets. She didn’t have to worry about food, clothes, or work, nor did she need student activities to bolster her resume.
Su Ziyun thought it was a pity. “Then maybe we could join an interest club and make more friends.”
Tong Jiayin reached out for the flyers. “Let me take a look.”
As Gu Yang flipped through the flyers, she noticed that Hua University had a wide variety of clubs catering to all kinds of interests.
Feeling that socializing was important, she decided to join a music club.
Gu Jin and Feng Jue joined as well.
Gu Yang’s piano skills were already advanced. Her and Gu Jin’s piano performances were still popular on short video platforms.
On the day of the music club interview, upon seeing them, the members unanimously voted to accept Gu Yang and Gu Jin into the club.
As for Feng Jue, he got in without much effort.
During this time, Gu Yang’s phone frequently received harassing calls from the same number.
Ever since she gained fame on variety shows and her identity as a pianist became known, strangers often called her, requesting to add her on WeChat. Some were fans, but there were also haters.
Most of these contacts seemed to have been leaked by people she knew, like former classmates from high school and junior high.
Unable to tolerate it any longer, she adjusted her WeChat settings to block strangers from finding her and set her phone to automatically reject calls from unknown numbers.
Afterward, things quieted down.
While deleting the junk messages she had intercepted, one message caught her eye.
It was from the same number that had been calling her frequently lately.
