Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Have you experienced...
Lydia Lawson was still worried about the burner phone, so she insisted on going into Tori Lynn’s bedroom to find it.
At that moment, Tori Lynn received a message from Renee Jennings, learning that the police were already on their way to arrest Lydia Lawson.
"Go ahead and look, then." She agreed to let Lydia Lawson go into the bedroom to search for the phone, then carried the still-awake Lele downstairs.
Seeing this, Owen followed her down.
Tori Lynn reached the first floor and took Lele into the nursery.
After a little while, a phone rang.
Tori Lynn saw the caller ID, and her expression instantly became serious. "Owen, take Lele for a moment."
She answered the phone and hurried to the door.
Tori Lynn opened the door and saw Renee Jennings standing there, with three uniformed police officers behind her.
"Miss Lynn." Renee Jennings gave her a slight nod.
Tori Lynn immediately opened the door wide and said with a smile, "Miss Jennings, Officers, good evening. She’s upstairs looking for her phone right now."
’Finally, I can get rid of Lydia Lawson.’ She was overjoyed.
For the past few days, she hadn’t been able to eat or sleep well, living in constant fear.
"Alright." Henry Stark nodded and led Kyle Morgan and Zachary Conway upstairs.
Lydia Lawson was lying on the carpet, peering intently under the bed.
’Damn it all, where the hell did that little phone go?’
Exhausted from her search, she suddenly heard someone call her name.
"Lydia Lawson."
Hearing someone call her by that name, Lydia Lawson’s heart leaped into her throat, and she wanted to find a place to hide.
But it was too late.
She had just pulled open the closet door to climb inside when someone forcefully grabbed the back of her collar.
"Lydia Lawson, no more hiding," Kyle Morgan said, holding her by the collar.
When Lydia Lawson saw the uniforms, her face turned pale in an instant, and she started trembling all over. "I... I’m not her. You’ve got the wrong person."
Zachary Conway sneered, snapping a pair of silver handcuffs on her wrists. "No need to pretend. If we’re here to arrest you, you can bet we’ve done our homework."
Kyle Morgan dragged her toward the door. "Enough talk. You’re coming with us to the station."
Lydia Lawson struggled the whole time. "I’m not going to the station! I’m not Lydia Lawson! You’ve got the wrong person!"
After being brought downstairs, Lydia Lawson looked pleadingly at Tori Lynn. "Tori, they’re saying I’m some Lydia Lawson and want to take me to the police station! Please, help me explain! I’m Luna Lynn, not Lydia Lawson!"
Tori Lynn stood beside Renee Jennings, looking at her with disgust, and said nothing.
"Tori, why aren’t you saying anything?" Lydia Lawson was frantic.
Only then did Tori Lynn speak. "It’s fine. If it’s a case of mistaken identity, the police will bring you back."
’I really want to curse this animal out,’ she thought, ’but I don’t dare. I’m afraid she’ll retaliate later.’
Lydia Lawson was dragged and shoved into the back of the police car by Kyle Morgan and Zachary Conway.
"Miss Jennings," Tori Lynn said, grasping Renee Jennings’s hand, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you for saving my family."
"You could say it was fate that brought us together." Renee Jennings smiled. "I should be going now. Goodbye."
She turned and left with Henry Stark.
Lydia Lawson sat despairingly in the police station’s interrogation room, unable to figure out how she had been discovered. She didn’t have her phone now; she didn’t even have a chance to notify her accomplice.

"Chief!" Kyle Morgan excitedly pushed open the door to Henry Stark’s office. "Good news!"
Henry Stark was sitting at his desk. He looked up. "What good news?"
"That woman, Yardley, has agreed to meet," Kyle Morgan said, holding up his phone.
Henry Stark’s gaze darkened. He reached out, took the phone, and scanned the chat history.
Kyle Morgan was playing the part of an irritable rich kid, pressuring the Yardley woman to show him the "high-end goods."
But no matter how much he pushed, the Yardley woman’s responses were lukewarm.
Finally, Kyle Morgan just sent a message: [Forget it. I don’t need you. I refuse to believe I can’t throw enough money around to get a son.]
Unexpectedly, the Yardley woman suddenly agreed.
[I can show you the goods, but you have to pay 30 percent upfront. After all, there’s a risk for me in showing them to you.]
This was the last message in the conversation.
Kyle Morgan didn’t know how to reply, so he had come to find Henry Stark.
The man held the phone, his long fingers casually typing two words: How much.
The other person must have been waiting for a reply; their status immediately changed to "typing...".
Y: [100,000.]
Henry Stark typed: [Account number.]
Y: [Cash only. You put the money at the designated spot. After I verify it’s real, I’ll contact you again.]
Henry Stark tossed the phone back to Kyle Morgan. "Keep replying to her. Stick to the irritable rich kid persona."
Kyle Morgan: "Roger that!"
A day later, Kyle Morgan changed into the designer clothes Henry Stark had provided and placed the 100,000 in cash at the location specified by the Yardley woman.
Meanwhile, Renee Jennings put on a mask and blended into the crowd, lying in wait at the designated spot with Mary and Inky.
The other party was extremely cautious. She didn’t come herself, instead sending a high school girl to pick up the package for her.
The high school girl carried the bag of money into a nearby mall.
Mary and Inky both followed her inside without attracting any human attention.
They followed her all the way, watching as the high school girl entered a restroom, placed the item inside a particular stall, and then left.
A woman with a tote bag over her shoulder was standing in front of the sinks, touching up her makeup. Seeing this, her red lips curled into a slight smile. She turned, entered that same stall, and closed the door.
The stalls here weren’t fully enclosed; there was a gap above the door, just big enough for Mary and Inky to perch on top.
They watched the woman open the bag left by the high school girl, take out the stacks of cash, and stuff them into her own tote bag.
Once the money was packed away, the woman left the restroom. But she didn’t leave the mall right away, instead wandering around for a while.
When she took the elevator to leave, Mary and Inky stopped following her and returned to find Renee Jennings.
After hearing what they had to say, Renee Jennings immediately called Henry Stark and asked him to pull the mall’s security footage.
Using the face captured from the security footage, they ran a facial recognition search through the police database. The woman was identified as Lana Yardley, and she wasn’t on any wanted lists.
That afternoon, the Yardley woman sent a message.
Y: [Come to this location tomorrow. I’ll show you the goods.]
She sent a location pin. It was a postpartum care center.
"What the hell?" Kyle Morgan frowned. "A postpartum care center?"
Levi Hollis’s expression was grim. "Postpartum care centers have the most newborns."
Zachary Conway said angrily, "So the client picks a baby, and they arrange for someone to become a nanny in that family, then take the chance to kidnap the child?"
"These people are despicable!" Sawyer clenched her fists, her eyes turning slightly red as she bit her lower lip.
Seeing her reaction, Renee Jennings’s gaze flickered, and she fell into a moment of deep thought.
That evening, on their way to dinner, she walked beside Sawyer and said softly, "Sawyer, can I ask you something?"
"Of course, go ahead," Sawyer said with a nod.
Renee Jennings chose her words carefully. "Have you ever had an experience with... child trafficking?"
