Renee Jennings was lounging on the sofa after dinner, watching TV, when she suddenly heard a delightful notification from her System.

A slight smile touched Renee’s lips. She picked up her phone to check her bank account balance, and the smile instantly lit up her eyes.
’I’m finally a multi-millionaire again!’
Money was a great motivator. Renee, who had previously just wanted to laze around, was suddenly fired up. ’I’m going to become a billionaire!’
Renee finished her tea, stood up, and said, "I’m going to stream now."
She had only taken a few steps when she heard the Slider cry out pitifully, "Wait, wait! I want to watch the stream too! I haven’t gotten to watch a single one since we moved here!"
"Alright, alright." Renee turned back and picked up the tank from the coffee table. "I’ll take you to watch."
"Hehe!" The Slider cheered up instantly. "You guys have no idea how happy I am! I have the best owner!"
Renee’s lips curled slightly. Carrying the tank, she walked up the stairs and said, "Alright, that’s enough out of you. Quit bootlicking."
The Slider retorted, "But you’re not even wearing boots!"
Renee: "..."
’This conversation feels strangely familiar.’
Renee kicked open the study door, placed the tank on the desk, and asked, "Happy here?"
The Slider said contentedly, "Happy. Very happy."
"Alright then, I’m getting to work." Renee tidied her hair and clothes a bit, then started the livestream.
[I just scrolled by and thought I was seeing things. She’s actually streaming?]
[The stream started right as I got off work. This is bliss.]
[Got my duck snacks ready. Time for the show~~~]
Renee’s eyes curved as she smiled. "Good evening, everyone. Have you all eaten?"
[Streamer, I felt so bad seeing you get flamed the other day!]
[I thought it was so bizarre, too. It clearly wasn’t the streamer’s fault. Thank goodness NJN was rational enough.]
[Speaking of which, Freestyle Pie deleted their account. No idea what’s going on.]
"I’ll keep an eye on the Freestyle Pie situation," Renee said softly. "I’ll let you all know when there’s an update. For now, let’s connect with our first friend."
"Lazy Walt" connected to the stream.
Renee was familiar with the ID, but she wasn’t sure if it was the same girl from last time. Soon, a familiar face appeared on the split-screen.
"Walt, we meet again," she greeted with a smile.
"Renee, I can’t believe I connected again!" Lazy Walt hadn’t expected to be so lucky; she’d just tried on a whim and got through.
The next second, she added in pleasant surprise, "Renee, you remember me!"
Renee nodded. "Of course I remember. Did you get that situation resolved?"
"It’s resolved, I guess." A hint of resignation flashed in Lazy Walt’s eyes. "We’re not friends anymore."
"Did she pay you back the money she owed you?" Renee asked.
Lazy Walt shook her head gently. "No. But being able to see her for who she really is... I think it was money well spent."
[Damn, she didn’t pay it back? What a huge loss!]
[Walt is so optimistic.]
[It’s one thing to be optimistic, but more importantly, Walt isn’t short on cash.]
Hearing this, Renee smiled and said, "That’s good, too. You cut your losses in time."
"Exactly." Gratitude was written all over Lazy Walt’s face. "It’s all thanks to connecting to your stream that day. Otherwise, my losses would have been even greater."
Just as she finished speaking, a chubby Silver Shaded cat squeezed in front of the camera and meowed, "Streamer, thank you for helping get rid of the bad woman!"
"You’re welcome." Renee raised an eyebrow and smiled. "But Piggy, you deserve most of the credit."
"Streamer, wait a second," Piggy said. Then it turned its head, its meow turning fierce. "Get over here and apologize! Now!"
Hearing this, a flicker of surprise crossed Renee’s bright eyes. ’Who is Piggy telling to apologize?’
A few seconds later, Piggy jumped off the desk.
Lazy Walt picked up her phone, flipped the camera to aim at Piggy, and said with a laugh, "Piggy’s started lecturing Soy again."
"Soy wasn’t taken with her?" Renee asked in surprise.
"No." A hint of resignation entered Lazy Walt’s voice. "When I got home from work that day, I found all her things were gone. Only Soy was left behind. And to think, getting Piggy and Soy was her idea in the first place."
[That’s so irresponsible!]
[Having a ’bestie’ like that is seriously bad luck.]
Lazy Walt saw the comments and chuckled. "She is pretty irresponsible, but it’s not all bad for me. Piggy and Soy don’t have to be separated, and they can play together when I go to work so they won’t be too lonely."
"When you put it that way, there really is an upside," Renee had just finished saying when she heard Piggy’s grumpy voice.
"I told you to apologize, are you deaf?" Piggy swatted at Soy’s head with its little paw. "You stupid girl, apologize! Now!"
Now, Soy didn’t dare fight back when Piggy hit it, and just grumbled, "I didn’t know you were talking to me just now. Fine, I’ll apologize, but can you not hit me at the drop of a hat?"
"Quit your useless meowing!" Piggy urged. "Hurry up!"
Renee was amused by them, her eyes curving as she watched the two sister cats.
Seeing this, Lazy Walt flipped the phone’s camera around so Soy could see Renee on the screen.
"Streamer," Piggy said. "I’m making Soy apologize to you."
Renee found this hilarious. ’I have no idea why Piggy is making Soy apologize to me.’
"Streamer," Soy said, looking bewildered. "I don’t know why Piggy is making me apologize, but if I don’t, it’ll definitely hit me again. So, Streamer, I’m apologizing to you. Can you forgive me?"
Equally bewildered, Renee nodded. "I forgive you."
"Thank you." Soy breathed a sigh of relief and turned its head to look at Piggy. "Are you satisfied now?"
Piggy: "Satisfied."
Renee’s lips curled. Her gentle gaze fell on Soy. "Soy, Walt is your owner now. Is there anything you’d like to say to her?"
Piggy also looked at Soy and said in a warning tone, "You’d better say it nicely!"
"Yes!" Soy looked at Lazy Walt, its round cat eyes showing a hint of apology. "Actually, I want to apologize to Walt. I misunderstood her before and was always hissing at her. I was really wrong. I know that now. I wonder if Walt is willing to forgive me?"
"Okay." Renee relayed Soy’s words to Lazy Walt. "Soy wants to know if you’re willing to forgive it."
"I was never mad at it, actually." Lazy Walt stroked its head, a gentle smile appearing on her face. "So there’s nothing to forgive."
Soy was a bit slow on the uptake and didn’t understand. It blinked its eyes and asked pitifully, "Does that mean Walt won’t forgive me?"
Renee said with a laugh, "No."
"You’re so dumb!" Piggy’s face was full of disdain. "She already said she wasn’t mad at you, and you’re still asking that? How did I end up with such a stupid little sister?"
