Chapter 258: I Must Be Great at Biting Bad Guys
Chapter 258: Chapter 258: I Must Be Great at Biting Bad Guys
The old woman wasn’t very nimble. By the time she lunged, Renee had already pushed open the door.
The girl in the white dress lay quietly on the bed, her dress already removed. A man in white stood beside the bed, wearing white medical gloves and holding a watercolor brush.
Hearing the noise, the man in white frowned and looked over.
When he saw Renee’s face, a flash of stunned admiration crossed his eyes.
Renee’s gaze shifted from the brush in his hand to his face. He was very young, but the dark circles under his eyes made him look unwell.
"Who are you?" the old woman demanded, tugging on Renee’s clothes. "Who said you could come into our home?"
Renee pushed her away and stared warily at the man in white. "What are you doing?"
"Oh, nothing," the man in white said, setting down the watercolor brush. A creepy smile spread across his face. "And why are you in my house?"
The old woman looked at the three people on the sofa and asked urgently, "Do you know who she is?"
"No idea," the fake pregnant woman said, shaking her head as she cracked open a sunflower seed.
The woman in the shirt took a bite of her apple, sizing Renee up. "Now there’s a pretty face."
The guy with the glasses adjusted his frames and immediately gave his appraisal. "Top-grade. She’ll fetch fifty thousand, at least."
The fake pregnant woman’s eyes lit up. "Then what are you waiting for?" she said excitedly. "Go get her!"
The guy with the glasses pulled a handkerchief and a small bottle from his pocket. He poured a colorless, odorless liquid onto the cloth and rose to his feet, approaching Renee.
Seeing this, Millet immediately shrieked, "Renee, danger! Danger!"
Renee glanced to the side, her mind racing. ’Who should I take out first?’
A few seconds later, she made her decision. She stepped into the room, shutting the door and locking it behind her.
’Dealing with one person is always easier than a group.’ Besides, she was worried that if she got tied up with the people outside, this man would take the opportunity to harm the girl on the bed.
When the man in white saw this, his creepy smile widened instantly. "Well, this is a first. A woman who walks right into my hands."
"There are a lot of things you haven’t seen," Renee said, her expression cold as she discreetly surveyed the room.
The walls were smeared with a chaotic mess of colors and plastered with gory posters that were physically repulsive to look at.
Renee frowned. Her gaze shifted, and she spotted a camera mounted above the bed.
"And I bet there are even more things you haven’t seen," the man in white said, suddenly bursting into maniacal laughter.
Listening to him laugh, Renee felt goosebumps rise on her arms.
She pressed her lips together. ’Something about this feels... off.’
"What exactly are you doing?" Renee demanded in a low voice.
The man’s laughter died abruptly, his tone turning sinister. "Knowing too much isn’t good for you. Besides, what I do with my girlfriend is none of your business."
"Is she really your girlfriend?" Renee’s cool voice held a sharp edge.
The man in white stared at her, a dangerous light in his eyes. "What did you say?"
Renee said coolly, "The girl on the bed is my sister. Funny, I don’t remember her ever having a boyfriend like you."
"Is that right?" The man in white chuckled sinisterly. "Your sister, you say?"
He suddenly lunged at Renee, grabbing her by the throat. "Who told you to stick your nose where it doesn’t belong?" he snarled through gritted teeth.
Renee’s brow furrowed. She clenched her fist and slammed it into his face, but the man’s grip on her throat didn’t loosen in the slightest.
She managed a ragged breath, grabbed his vein-popped wrist, and twisted hard.
A flicker of astonishment crossed the man’s contorted face; he clearly hadn’t expected her to be so strong.
Finally able to breathe, Renee angrily wrenched his arm back and drove her knee hard into his lower abdomen.
The man instantly doubled over in pain.
"Son, what’s happening?" the old woman cried, pounding on the door. "Son, open up! Let your mother in!"
Renee hauled him up and slammed him bodily against the door.
Hearing the thud, the old woman grew even more frantic. "Son! Son!"
The fake pregnant woman and her companions, however, were unconcerned. "What are you yelling about? You think your son can’t handle one woman?"
"Exactly," the woman in the shirt added impatiently. "Come on, old lady, just pay us what you owe us."
The guy with the glasses clutched the drugged handkerchief, his tone urgent. "Don’t hit her face! The face is valuable!"
The man in white crumpled to the floor, clutching his chest in pain.
Renee planted her foot on the back of his hand, grinding her heel into it. "What the hell were you doing to her?" she demanded coldly.
"Son, say something!" The old woman pressed her ear to the door. Listening to the voices inside, she got the distinct feeling that her son was the one being beaten. "Son, open the door! Mom’s coming to help you!"
"What’s with you, old lady?" the woman in the shirt said, looking annoyed. "Did you not hear me? I said get the money. If you won’t, I’ll find it myself!"
"WOOF WOOF WOOF—" A dog’s barking suddenly echoed from the other room.
Millet turned to see Clementine appear with a ferocious-looking dog.
"You’re here!" Millet said nervously. "Renee’s in the room with that young male."
"What?" Clementine chirped, worried. "I hope she’s okay!"
The black-backed dog barked again. "She’ll be fine with me here to help! Just tell me who to bite! I don’t normally bite people, but I bet I’m really good at biting bad guys!"
Millet and Clementine didn’t know what was happening in the other room, so they decided to help deal with the people out here first.
"Bite that male first!" Clementine commanded. "Robin and Millet, you go peck the other two females."
"Got it." The black-backed dog nodded, lunged at the guy with the glasses, and bit him squarely on the butt.
"HOLY SHIT!" the guy with the glasses shrieked in pain. "That fucking hurts! How dare you bite me, you little beast!"
He glared viciously at the black-backed dog and raised his foot to kick it. "I’ll kick you to death, you little beast!"
The black-backed dog hated being called that more than anything. It opened its jaws again and sank its teeth into the man’s calf, biting down viciously.
The man with the glasses collapsed to the floor, screaming in terror, "AHHH! Help me! Somebody help me!"
When the fake pregnant woman and the woman in the shirt saw this, they didn’t dare go near, terrified of being bitten themselves.
If they hadn’t been waiting for the rest of their payment, they would have already bolted.
Right now, all the two of them wanted was to find a place to hide.
"Ahh!" After taking just two steps, the fake pregnant woman clutched the top of her head and shrieked.
The woman in the shirt thought the dog had gotten her too. She whirled around in fright and snapped, "What are you screaming for? You scared the hell out of me!"
Clementine saw Millet pecking at the fake pregnant woman’s head and immediately chirped a reminder: "Go for her eyes!"
With that, it flew in front of the woman in the shirt and pecked viciously at her eyes. "Take that, you villain!"
"Ahh!" The woman in the shirt also cried out, clutching at her eyes.
