The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 240: I’m Not Faking It, I’m Really Lame

Chapter 240: Chapter 240: I’m Not Faking It, I’m Really Lame

Seeing everyone’s comments, CilantroLover laughed. "Haha, I didn’t expect such a coincidence either!"

"Cilantro, is there something you need my help with?" Renee Jennings asked.

"Yes." CilantroLover nodded, a hint of worry clouding her features. "My Rush’s right hind leg started limping for no reason. I took him to the vet for X-rays, but they came back clean. The vet couldn’t figure out what was wrong."

CilantroLover sighed. "At first, I thought maybe that vet wasn’t very good, so I went to a different animal hospital for a second opinion. But the result was the same. I just don’t know what’s wrong with Rush."

She stroked the dog’s head, her face full of sorrow. "Rush, what on earth is wrong with you?"

Rush, not yet knowing Renee Jennings could understand him, grinned a sleazy grin from the side. "Hehe, it’s ’cause I’m faking it, of course!"

Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow slightly and asked with a knowing smile, "I know what’s wrong with Rush."

Hearing this, Rush’s eyes went wide. "Wha? You know? How could you know?"

A thought occurred to him, and he shot a sidelong glance at the lady on the screen. "Hmph, you must be bluffing!"

"Host, you know?" CilantroLover’s eyes lit up with surprise and delight. "Host, what’s wrong with Rush?"

Renee Jennings said slowly, "There’s nothing wrong with Rush’s leg."

"Wha!" Disbelief was written all over Rush’s furry face. "You bluffed and actually got it right! Weird, I didn’t tell anyone I was faking a limp!"

Renee Jennings: "Aren’t you telling me right now?"

Rush was stunned. "You... you can understand me?"

"If there’s nothing wrong with Rush’s leg, then why is he always limping?" CilantroLover asked, completely bewildered.

Renee Jennings smiled. "Because Rush is faking it."

"Oh my god, this lady can actually understand me?" Rush was so scared his ears perked straight up. "Who in the world is she?"

"My name is Renee Jennings."

Rush shoved his big doggy head up to the screen and barked nervously, "Miss, I’ll share my little crackers and canned meat with you, just don’t tell my owner, okay?"

Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow. "But I just told her."

Rush: "Then tell her you were mistaken."

Renee Jennings: "Can you first tell me why you’re faking a limp?"

"I’m not faking, I’m really lame." After saying this, Rush even jumped to the floor and started walking with a limp.

As CilantroLover watched, her brow furrowed, and a look of surprise appeared in her eyes. "He was limping on his right leg just now. Why is it his left leg all of a sudden?"

Hearing this, Renee Jennings couldn’t help but laugh. "Rush, you still dare to say you’re not faking? You’re even limping on the wrong leg."

[PFFT HAHAHA, I’m dying]

[Help, I’m laughing so hard my stomach hurts]

[How can a dog be such a little schemer?]

Rush got anxious and quickly switched back to limping on his right leg.

CilantroLover said with a stern face, "Rush, what is going on? You better tell me the truth!"

Rush was still trying to keep up the act. "Sis, I’m really lame! Believe me!"

CilantroLover snatched a nearby slipper and pointed it at him. "I’ll give you one more chance. Fess up!"

"Sis, don’t hit me!" Rush said frantically. "I’ll talk, I’ll tell you everything!"

CilantroLover looked at Renee Jennings on the screen. "Host, what’s the little devil saying?"

Renee Jennings: "He says he’ll tell you everything."

CilantroLover looked back at Rush. "Then talk."

Rush sat down in front of her, looking wronged. "Sis, I’m sorry, I was wrong."

"What are you apologizing for?" Renee Jennings asked.

Rush: "The other day, I accidentally chewed up Sis’s purse. I hid it, but I was afraid she’d find out, so I faked a limp to distract her."

When the audience heard Renee Jennings relay this, they were all stunned.

[Damn, who says huskies are dumb? This guy has a thousand tricks up his sleeve!]

[My god, this Rush is practically sentient.]

CilantroLover hadn’t expected this to be the truth either. She was so angry she laughed. "Let me tell you, this just makes it worse! You ruined my bag, and on top of that, you faked being lame and made me waste so much money on vet check-ups!"

Rush quickly lowered his head, begging for mercy. "Sis, I was wrong! Sis, please don’t be angry!"

CilantroLover took a deep breath. "Which bag did you ruin? Go, bring it to me."

Rush trotted into the room, dove under the bed, and returned to CilantroLover with a black purse in his mouth. "Sis, I really know I was wrong now."

Seeing the purse, CilantroLover said irritably, "This purse cost thirty thousand. Do you have any idea how much dog food that could buy?"

Rush shook his head blankly.

"Go stand over there and face the wall," CilantroLover said, pointing.

Rush obediently went and stood there.

CilantroLover then added, "And to punish you for what you’ve done, I’m going to take all the little crackers and canned meat in the house and feed them to other dogs."

Rush immediately got nervous and ran back to CilantroLover. "Sis, no! I can’t live without my little crackers and canned meat!"

With that, he ran back to the screen, frantic. "Miss, please help me tell my owner, I need my little crackers..."

Renee Jennings said helplessly, "Rush, your owner is doing this to teach you a lesson so you won’t make the same mistake again."

"I won’t do it again!" Rush said pitifully. "I promise I’ll be good from now on. Can you ask my owner not to give my crackers and canned meat to other dogs? Please?"

Renee Jennings relayed Rush’s words to CilantroLover.

"I’ll think about it." CilantroLover huffed lightly. "Whether I give them to other dogs will depend on Rush’s future behavior."

Hearing there was still a chance, Rush breathed a sigh of relief. "I promise, I’ll be good from now on!"

After CilantroLover logged off, she sent a Bright Stars gift.

Renee Jennings glanced at the time and said softly, "Time to connect with the last person."

"Freestyle Pie" connected successfully, but their half of the screen was completely dark.

[Why is it pitch black?]

[Where are they?]

Seeing this, Renee Jennings called out, "Pie, are you there?"

"I’m here, of course I’m here..." a raspy voice sounded, tinged with an eerie quality.

[That’s creepy!]

[Just come out already, don’t play spooky games this late at night.]

Renee Jennings frowned. "Pie, what are you doing?"

"Host, I’m not doing anything." As these words were spoken, a faint green light shone from the dark screen, revealing a horrifying face.

[HOLY SHIT!!!]

[OMG, that nearly gave me a heart attack!]

[What the hell?]

"Hahaha!" Freestyle Pie laughed maniacally, then turned on the room lights. "Just kidding."

A flash of helplessness crossed Renee Jennings’ eyes. "That’s not funny at all, actually."

Freestyle Pie didn’t respond, but suddenly started crying. "Host, I just had a fight with my boyfriend. I’m so sad, but he won’t even try to comfort me."

Just as Renee Jennings was about to speak, she heard another voice.
