The Strongest War God

Chapter 1776 Drinking Wine Under the Snow

Chapter 1776: Drinking Wine Under the Snow Chapter 1776: Drinking Wine Under the Snow Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation “Tell me!” Braydon Neal demanded, as he continued killing monsters.

“There are 27 people in the nirvana realm,” Sagan Lazenby reported.

“And 172 people in the spirit body realm!” The numbers were staggering.  The competition among the younger generation had produced so many spirit bodies.  No wonder it was such a grand event with three competitions in one.  Just the sheer number of spirit bodies was impressive.

“Ten competition zones have merged,” Braydon said softly.

“All the geniuses are gathered together.

Once the Thousand Stellar Realm Competition starts, it will be a thousand times more brutal!” “Yes,” Sagan agreed with a bitter smile.

“When the Thousand Stellar Realm Competition begins, the competition zones will be compressed into ten.

It will be like the semi-finals, with all the monstrous geniuses concentrated into ten battlefields.

The competition will be even fiercer!” Sagan remembered his time in the Northern Stellar Realm, where he had competed in the Stellar Realm Competition.  His talent was exceptional, and his strength was among the best.  But now, in the Hundred Stellar Realm Competition, even advancing felt like a distant hope.

His current cultivation level was only at the great fulfillment of the path-returning realm.  Standing out in the Ten Stellar Realm Competition was already a challenge.  To stand out in the Hundred Stellar Realm Competition, one would need battle prowess at least at the great fulfillment of the nirvana realm.  In times of need, having a spirit body might be essential for self-protection.

There were a total of 172 spirit body geniuses and 27 nirvana cultivators who could sever their spirit bodies.  Together, they made up 199 people.  With two hundred spots already reserved, and only 10,000 geniuses qualifying for the top ten competitions, the odds were brutal.

One in a hundred would advance.  It was incredibly harsh.  Those participating in the Hundred Stellar Realm Competition were all top-tier geniuses.

Without nirvana cultivation, qualifying was out of the question.

“Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.

Even if you don’t advance past the Hundred Stellar Realm Competition, you can still enter the Immortal Burial Ground in the future,” Braydon reassured Sagan, sensing his concern.

“I know, but I’m still a bit reluctant,” Sagan admitted.  He understood the General’s abilities and knew that Braydon could get them into the Immortal Burial Ground through special channels.  However, Sagan also wanted to advance and compete in the Thousand Stellar Realm Competition and the Ten Thousand Stellar Realm Grand Finals.  It would be a great honor to participate in such an event and make it to the end.

“Why aren’t you with Laird?” Braydon asked Samara Lazenby softly.

“Ahem, she’s not married yet, so it’s not appropriate for her to stay by Xin Laird’s side,” Sagan explained, showing his sisterly concern.

“I’ll personally handle Laird’s wedding after the competition!” Braydon promised.  The wedding of the former Frost Lord would be attended by the entire race’s upper echelons, with Braydon himself as the witness.  Who wouldn’t give him some respect?

While they were talking, Luke had already started cooking.  He pulled out a large black pot from his storage ring and began stewing dragon bone soup.  Then, he placed a large piece of dragon meat on the grill and brushed it with sesame sauce and chili oil, roasting it until golden brown with the gravy dripping down.  Even Sagan was tempted by the aroma.

Due to the black dragon’s resentful gaze, Sagan had to hold back his appetite.  Braydon, however, was unfazed.  He looked at Luke eagerly handing over the meat skewers and said, “Brother, eat!” “It tastes great!” Braydon exclaimed as he enjoyed the fragrant meat.  With a wave of his hand, a pavilion appeared, complete with a table and stools.

“Drinking wine under the snow has its charm,” Braydon remarked as he sat down, and two bottles of wine materialized on the table.

Sagan joined him, clearly a fan of wine as well.

“Samara,” he said, “don’t you know how to play the kithara?” “Just a bit,” Samara replied.

Braydon waved his hand and handed her a kithara.

“You know how to play.

I’m giving this kithara to you!” “What an exquisite kithara!” Samara admired, thrilled by the gift.

Samara’s jade-white fingers gently moved over the strings, and suddenly, a chilling evil aura erupted, accompanied by a relentless sound of killing.  Everyone was taken aback.

“Samara, how did your kithara skills become so terrifying?!” Sagan asked, astonished.

“Brother, it’s not me—it’s the kithara,” Samara said in shock.

“It seems like a weapon of mass destruction!” She was stunned.  How many people had it killed to have accumulated such deep resentment?

“Let’s drink!” Braydon said with a smile, offering no further explanation.  Only the little fool knew that Braydon had used this very kithara to suppress eight demon camps and slaughter billions of demon creatures with the funeral song.  This kithara was indeed a genuine weapon of destruction, with terrifying legends attached to it.

Unfortunately, such things weren’t suitable for discussion in this setting.

Braydon drank from his wine glass in one gulp, enjoyed the meat that Luke had roasted, and gazed at the falling snow.  He said softly, “Sagan, have you ever dreamed of reaching the top of the starry sky and looking down upon all living beings?” “I have!” Sagan responded, raising his cup with a sense of pride.  He bit into the meat skewer, disregarding the black dragon’s resentful gaze, and continued, “To reach the peak of the great path and oversee the rise and fall of all beings—immortality is the long-cherished wish of our generation!” “Immortality?” Braydon smiled and asked, “Have you ever thought about transcending the starry sky?” “I’ve never thought of that.

The peak of the great path and the end of the universe are the ultimate limit,” Sagan admitted, shaking his head.  He hadn’t considered the possibility of beings existing beyond the universe until Braydon brought it up.

Braydon said quietly, “The immortality you long for is something no one has achieved since ancient times.

The ancient immortal realm exists beyond the universe and forms its own world.

Those beings were called immortals and were thought to be indestructible.” “The allure of immortality was unmatched,” Braydon continued.

“But even they couldn’t escape death.

Lukyan Flerov destroyed them all and shattered the source of the immortal path.

All immortals died, and their path hearts were completely broken.

“If Immortals can die, then it’s all a lie!

“There’s also the Ancient Divine World, which presides over the eight great cosmoses.

At its peak, it ruled over all worlds, with all worlds bowing down to it.

It was considered the ultimate place to ascend!

“But the end was just as grim.

Ismael Levanon single-handedly killed all the gods and vanished from the annals of history!

“Immortality?

I’ve never witnessed it myself!” Braydon said, putting down his wine glass with a sigh.

The pursuit of eternal immortality was a never-ending quest.  Unfortunately, he had yet to find any concrete answers.  In this life, all he could refine was the power of his myriad past lives.  He hoped to break through the limitations and surpass all beings to forge a new, indestructible path.  If he succeeded, he would truly achieve immortality.

However, the odds of succeeding were extremely low!  An indestructible path that couldn’t be found in ten thousand generations.  In this life, how confident could one be of achieving it?

As for the immortal path claimed to exist in the universe, it was nothing but a joke.  The so-called indestructibility had proven false, with countless people dying in succession.  The path of reincarnation was littered with those who claimed to be undying and invincible.

All those grand proclamations from the past had become mere jokes.  It was, in essence, a grand farce!

“Is there no true path of immortality in the universe?” Sagan couldn’t help but ask.
