The Strongest War God

Chapter 1679 Challenges and Difficulties Coming All at Once

Chapter 1679: Challenges and Difficulties Coming All at Once Chapter 1679: Challenges and Difficulties Coming All at Once Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation Immanuel Sanchez’s expression soured.  He was adamant that Braydon Neal should refrain from invoking the funeral song again; the repercussions of such a forbidden technique were simply too dreadful.

“There are six demon camps on the other side,” he stated gravely.

“Each camp is guarded by a spiritual entity.

There are over a hundred nirvana-level entities, more than a thousand path-returning beings, and upwards of ten thousand eternal beings.

Their combined forces exceed five hundred million troops.

“If the funeral song is unleashed, they will undoubtedly risk everything.” Immanuel’s words carried undeniable logic.  Should the funeral song resound, the demons would inevitably descend into frenzied combat, pursuing Braydon to the bitter end.  Death was a certainty either way; his only slim chance lay in preemptively striking down Braydon.

The demons’ reaction was entirely foreseeable.

Braydon seemed prepared for this.

“I am not the sole heir to the funeral song,” he murmured calmly.

Braedy and the others were taken aback.

If there were multiple heirs to the funeral song, what did that signify?

Immanuel appeared to grasp the implications and was horrified.  It dawned on him why the eight lineage masters dreaded Braydon’s existence.  Was this white-robed youth’s background as straightforward as the historical leader of the five lords thirty thousand years ago?  The eight lineage masters had suspected Braydon’s origins; in his previous life, he was the leader who nearly brought about universal genocide and opened the doors to interstellar warfare.  But could his past truly be that simple?

The notion of an enduring soul imprint spanning millennia was chilling.

Immanuel now suspected Braydon’s intent to enlist the banished immortals.  Should he succeed in summoning them en masse and activating the funeral song…

It could spell the end of this entire star system.

Yet, with such an act, it would be apparent to all that Braydon likely wielded the fabled Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art.

In that scenario, panic would sweep through the myriad races like never before.  Before Braydon could complete his cultivation, the top experts from ten thousand races would once again ignite war and seek to eliminate Braydon.

Immanuel was resolute in preventing Braydon from proceeding.  His tone carried an unprecedented gravity.

“If you proceed with this, I will forcibly remove you from this place.

I will detain you at the race headquarters for 10,000 years.

Only after you succeed will I consider releasing you!” Braydon frowned slightly, caught off guard by the magnitude of Immanuel’s reaction.  The secrecy of the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art must be preserved at all costs.  If exposed, and Braydon had the funeral song…

It was conceivable that if all ten thousand banished immortals achieved mastery and used the funeral song in the future, the prospect of all the myriad races being buried alive was daunting.

Even humans were wary of Braydon.  Immanuel hesitated to act rashly; he and Paxton Foreman were equals in prowess.  An intervention by such a high-level expert could escalate into a catastrophic conflict among peak practitioners, rendering the weaker denizens of the starry sky mere casualties.

Yet Immanuel’s resolve was unwavering; the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art could not be compromised.  Immanuel would not permit Braydon to employ the funeral song.

Over the next three days, under Immanuel’s vigilant watch, Braydon remained inactive.  Meanwhile, the demons repeatedly probed the Meteor Sea defense line, deploying eternal and path-returning realm beings to pressure Braydon and his allies.

Immanuel warned Braydon that any aggression would draw the attention of spirit body realm creatures.  The six demon camps had diverted from the core battlefield to converge on them, intent on eliminating Braydon once more.

During this intense period, fierce clashes erupted between the two sides.

Within Braydon’s sanctuary, ninety percent of the ten thousand banished immortals had departed, leaving a thousand engaged in refining Life and Death Path Pills.  The demands of the vast Northern Army strained their resources, yet despite exhaustion, all factions made significant contributions amidst the relentless assaults by the demons.

Those who had earned battle merits coveted the Life and Death Path Pills the most.  Consequently, the daily consumption of these pills reached a million.  To sustain the Northern Army’s needs, at least 100,000 cauldrons of pills had to be refined regularly.

The thousands of banished immortals were tirelessly engaged in refining supreme-grade Life and Death Path Pills day after day.  Braydon stood contemplatively in the small world, hands clasped behind his back.

“They’ve all dispersed,” he declared solemnly upon learning of the primordial chaos banished immortal’s arrival.

“Yes.” Having released numerous banished immortals, Braydon originally intended to employ the funeral song to vanquish the six demon camps in a single decisive battle.  However, Immanuel opposed this plan.  After careful consideration, Braydon too realized that prematurely revealing the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art would invite more harm than good.  With the funeral song, he had already become a marked figure among the myriad races, ensuring that his future days would be fraught with difficulty.  The potential consequences of unveiling the Hundred Tribulations Heavenly Art were unpredictable, forcing him to abandon his original strategy.

Yet, even when the tree sought calm, the wind did not cease blowing.  Braydon had once hoped to swiftly conclude his task, but the demons harbored similar intentions.

On the fourth day of relentless warfare, the six medium-sized demon camps, accompanied by countless demon armies, surged across tens of thousands of miles like an unstoppable tide.  Mantis tribe, spider tribe, snake tribe, and others mobilized their forces.

Braydon’s expression darkened as he vanished from the small world.

Within the main hall of the Northern Army Military Headquarters, the elites gathered.

“Six military camps,” Westley Hader, clad in black, remarked coldly.

“Two billion demons.

Even if they were two billion pigs, we couldn’t exterminate them all in a day.” “Are the demons insane?” Hendrix Bailey clenched his fists.

“They’re not insane,” Harvey Lay interjected, tilting his head.

“After days of probing, they’ve gauged the strength of the Northern Army through skirmishes.

Their purpose is clear—they’re here to take Brother’s life!” The discussion continued unabated.

Braydon appeared in the hall in an instant, immediately silencing the room.

“The demons have mobilized their full forces?” he inquired, taking the seat of honor.

“Yes,” Luther Carden confirmed.

“They’re aiming to settle it in one decisive blow.” A faint smile crossed Braydon’s face.

“Big Brother, you shouldn’t show yourself in this battle,” Yuri Qualls interjected suddenly.

“They’re clearly targeting you.” Luther echoed the sentiment.

Everyone present understood that the demon race had staked everything on this confrontation with Braydon.  As soon as the battle commenced, the demon race’s experts would relentlessly assail him.

“What?” Braydon acknowledged the gravity of the situation.  He glanced at Luther and the others, speaking softly.

“If I stay hidden, the demon army will swarm like locusts, slaughtering our entire legion.” Silence fell over the room.  Everyone knew the demon race wouldn’t retreat until Braydon was dealt with.  If he remained concealed, their wrath would engulf the Northern Army.

With two billion elite demons, the Northern Army stood little chance against such overwhelming odds.  Without intervention, they would be swept away, reduced to mere remnants.

As the commander, Braydon couldn’t allow that to happen.

“Prepare for battle!

Notify the others that if the funeral song is unleashed, the entire army will retreat ten thousand miles,” Braydon commanded decisively.
