The Strongest War God

Chapter 1667 The Way to Make Money

Chapter 1667: The Way to Make Money Chapter 1667: The Way to Make Money Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation Everyone turned their gaze.

Luke Yates’s army alone seemed capable of confronting twenty million demon mantises.

The black flying knives swept out like a river, and thousands of cold swords hung high in the starry sky, instantly scattering and transforming into streams of light.  These flowing lights wove together to form a massive net.

Beneath this net, twenty million elite demons were suppressed by the blades.  Amidst the bloodshed of battle, the corpses of demon mantises filled the starry expanse.  These creatures, resembling enlarged mantises with their razor-sharp forelimbs, were no match for the ferocity of the Northern Army’s sword onslaught.

Under the ruthless slaughter, Luke’s comrades-in-arms, using their hundred thousand-strong force, decimated twenty million demon mantises.  The prowess of the Sword Manipulation Art under Luke’s command was unmatched; none could rival his ferocity.

In the distant reaches of the starry sky, watching the battlefield, both Hakiba Gibodo and the inky flood dragon revealed their murderous intent.

“This kid is extraordinary.

We can’t afford to linger,” Hakiba remarked coldly.

“Hmph!” The inky flood dragon snorted disdainfully.

“This army must be dealt with today.

Allowing it to persist will surely spell disaster.” With those words, the inky flood dragon launched his attack.  It was a shameless act for a spirit body realm expert to target Little Fool directly.

Swoosh!  The sky filled with black flying knives, swiftly eliminating twenty million demons in an instant.  Then, with a wave of the inky flood dragon’s hand, all the supreme treasure-level cold swords, painstakingly refined with heart and blood by the hundred thousand soldiers, were reduced to ashes.  The soldiers, suffering from the backlash, coughed up blood.

“You’re young but audacious.

I cannot allow you to live!” In a flash, the inky flood dragon descended upon Little Fool, raising his hand for a decisive blow.

Boom!

The sheer power of the inky flood dragon’s attack surpassed that of a holy master, the eternal, the path-returning realm’s path power, and even a nirvana’s power.  The spirit body’s might transcended many other forms of power.  Once one entered this realm, they were akin to a deity—a spirit body that resembled a godly form.

No one had anticipated that the demon army, typically prone to procrastination, would suddenly launch a fierce counterattack, especially under the command of a spirit creature.

The inky flood dragon’s palm struck Luke’s body.

“Luke!” Luther Carden and the others rushed forward, shocked and enraged.  In the next instant, they were flung backward by a terrifying aura.

But Luke took the inky flood dragon’s blow head-on and emerged completely unscathed.

“What?” The inky flood dragon was stunned.  In the distance, the Hakiba’s eyes widened in fear.  He stared at Luke’s back, almost losing control.

“Lord Wood…” A soul imprint appeared on Luke’s forehead, glowing faintly.  A towering figure materialized behind him.

The figure wore black robes, with hair flowing in the celestial breeze.  Clutching a sword and adorned in purple-gold boots, he stood amidst the starry expanse.  The stars themselves seemed to dim in his presence.  Though merely a human form, all living beings felt an instinctive reverence.

The inky flood dragon trembled, gazing at the black-robed figure in disbelief.

“Lord Woodruff!” Thirty thousand years ago, this figure had ravaged several demon tribes in the starry sky, surviving attacks from myriad races.  He had been a close companion of the five human lords, rising from humble origins to confront the demon race and command respect from all races.

The Lord Woodruff of old had seemingly returned in this young man’s form.

The black-robed figure, speaking with the authority of heaven, declared, “If you kill my reincarnation, upon my return, I shall annihilate your entire race!” His words carried a weight that none dared to dismiss.

The inky flood dragon was shaken to the core.  Never had it imagined that among this group of individuals, alongside the successor of the funeral song, stood the reincarnation of Lord Woodruff himself.

This would spell immense trouble for their race!

The inky flood dragon lost all will to fight.  The complete soul imprint of Lord Woodruff’s reincarnation was enough to exterminate his entire clan.

Outside the battlefield stood the fairy-like man, Paxton Foreman.

His eyes burned as he gazed into the distance.

“Brother Woodruff!” He murmured softly.

Referring to him as “Brother Woodruff” indicated they were old friends!  The current core leaders of the human race were all veterans of the five lords.

Even the leader of the imperial killer ants secretly observed the battle.  He felt both heaviness in his heart and gratitude towards Paxton.  If not for Paxton’s warning, attacking without cause would have incurred disastrous karma.

Historically, anyone who provoked Lord Woodruff met a bleak fate.  His reputation was fearsome!

On the Meteor Sea battlefield, Lord Woodruff’s projection descended from the heavens.  With a single finger, he obliterated the inky flood dragon, leaving no trace of a soul imprint.  He then pointed at the air and destroyed two medium-sized military camps, wiping out the entire demon army—hundreds of millions of lives perished with a snap of his fingers.

The only survivor, the spirit body realm Hakiba, fled upon seeing Lord Woodruff, unwilling to stay any longer.

Lord Woodruff’s solitary action annihilating the demon army shocked the world!

“Is this the demeanor of a peak expert?” Luther’s eyes gleamed.

“What the heck, Luke has such a powerful background?” Tobey Lapras’s eyes widened.  He had never imagined that the leader of the three great calamities possessed such formidable backing.

Colton Jansky’s eyes bulged.  He grabbed Tobey excitedly.

“Tobey, tell me, are you one of the five lords?!” “I’m not!” Tobey replied, bewildered.

Who would have thought that Colton would force his head down and make him confess to being one of the five lords?  This instantly darkened the faces of Yuri Qualls and the others.  How could he force such a confession by holding someone’s head down!

Luther couldn’t help but recall a story he heard back in his hometown.  There was a classmate whose father owned a coal mine but kept it secret for four years until graduation season when he finally revealed his identity.

In the end, his five roommates returned home and confronted their fathers, asking if they were coal bosses.  It seemed like Colton was doing something similar now.

The tension in the air instantly eased.  Little Fool rolled his eyes and collapsed, fainting!

“Luke!” Everyone was shocked and rushed forward.

They found him deeply asleep, the soul imprint on his forehead vanished.  He lay sprawled out, snoring peacefully.

“What’s happening?” Luther frowned.

“Take Luke back and inform Big Brother about this.” “No need to trouble His Highness Neal.

When the soul imprint awakens, it often induces a deep sleep.

It’s a way to safely integrate memories from a past life without harming the current consciousness,” Immanuel Sanchez explained as he appeared.  He looked at the Northern Army sons seriously.

“If the soul imprint suddenly erupts, memories flood in, potentially overriding your consciousness and taking control.” “That’s possession!” someone murmured.

“It means the past life’s desires are overpowering,” Immanuel continued.

“These reincarnators can be incredibly dangerous.” Immanuel proceeded to give detailed instructions, hinting that many Northern Army sons had such soul imprints.  It was crucial to be vigilant in such cases.

The brothers were known for their mischief since youth.  When they encountered something unusual, they often turned to Braydon Neal.  Unbeknownst to them, Braydon in his secluded world was already aware of everything happening outside.  His banished immortals kept him well-informed about external affairs.
