Chapter 1638 - 1630
Chapter 1638: Chapter 1630
Seeing Xin Lin, a flash of joy appeared in Murong Ziyue’s eyes.
But upon seeing those local ruffians, her gaze turned cold.
"It’s you again. Go back and tell your bosses behind the scenes that Chu’s Restaurant will definitely participate in the election for the Spirit Cuisine Master’s President. Scram!"
Murong Ziyue stood there, scaring those local ruffians greatly.
They had witnessed Murong Ziyue’s might and had deliberately chosen a time when Ma Jingtian was absent and Murong Ziyue was still at school to cause trouble today.
Who knew, Murong Ziyue came early.
They scurried away hurriedly.
"Xin Lin, you’re finally back. I was so worried."
Murong Ziyue held Xin Lin, her eyes full of joy.
After separating at Fengdong, Murong Ziyue deeply regretted it.
She wished she had gone to Fuzhou with Xin Lin.
Afterwards, with the upheaval in Fuzhou, Murong Ziyue was even more restless.
If it hadn’t been for the recent unrest at Chu’s Restaurant, she would have gone to Fuzhou already.
Unexpectedly, Xin Lin was already back.
"I’m fine, aren’t I? So, what’s happening over at the Spirit Cuisine Master Association?"
Xin Lin asked in surprise.
Ever since Tu Suxuan’s death, logically, the Spirit Cuisine Master Association in Purple Cloud City should be peaceful.
"Ah, it’s a long story. It’s all because of the vacant chairman position causing trouble."
Murong Ziyue shook her head, pulling Xin Lin to sit down.
Wan Niang went to pour tea, and only then did Murong Ziyue begin to narrate the events to Xin Lin.
Shortly after Xin Lin left, Mu Yi followed Xin Lin’s arrangements and went to Yunshui City to help Tu Su’s House organize the matters of Chunbi Building.
Ma Jingtian then took the position of head chef at Chu’s Restaurant.
Since Shi Fei was demoted to Taichang Temple, Ma Jingtian seemed like a changed man.
He practiced hard in Spiritual Food, and under the guidance of Mu Yi and Xin Lin, his skills improved significantly.
The Spiritual Food he created slowly began to attract repeat customers in Purple Cloud City.
But who knew, not long after.
A message came from the mainland Spiritual Food Chef Association, stating that the chairman position for the Spirit Cuisine Masters in Purple Cloud City had been vacant for too long and needed to be re-elected.
This time, all head chefs of Spiritual Food Restaurants in Purple Cloud City were eligible to participate in the election.
"The problem lies here—previously, all major Spiritual Food Restaurants were polite to each other, each conducting their own business, but once this news came out, the head chefs couldn’t sit still. They secretly competed, ostracizing others, all wanting to claim the position of president of the Spirit Cuisine Master Association. Furthermore, several renowned Spiritual Food Masters have been assassinated one after another. The situation in the entire Purple Cloud Spiritual Food Realm has become quite tense."
Murong Ziyue explained the situation roughly.
Xin Lin was puzzled.
Even though Ma Jingtian had joined the ranks, as a two-star Spirit Cuisine Master, he couldn’t be president, could he?
"Ma Jingtian pushed out the head chef of Taoyao Pavilion... meaning you’re participating in the competition for Spirit Cuisine Master President."
Murong Ziyue coughed lightly.
Xin Lin went to Fuzhou to take the Spirit Cuisine Master examination and reopen Taoyao Pavilion.
During this time, Mu Yi did some work, and Taoyao Pavilion was generally organized.
Ma Jingtian and Mu Yi had great confidence in Xin Lin’s Spirit Cuisine skills, firmly believing that Xin Lin would qualify as a Five-star Spirit Chef.
So this time, in the election for the president of the Purple Cloud Spirit Cuisine Master Association, Ma Jingtian naturally nominated Xin Lin.
And he used the name "Overlord" to register Xin Lin. As for the scrutiny of election qualifications, because "Overlord" had just passed a special examination in Fuzhou, the qualification for a Five-star Spirit Chef was also approved.
