The Romantic Cultivator

Chapter 700 Can We Find A Divine Consort In The Street?

Ji Yuan and Xiao Muhan were now roaming the streets of Snowy Pavilion City.

They were now checking the city as well as trying to meet a Divine Consort and making a good impression out of her.

Ji Yuan looked ugly and he was brooding; it was because he could not believe that Xiao Muhan’s Trust Points are actually higher than him.

There were hundreds of scantily dressed maidens on the streets but Ji Yuan was disinterested and he was still bewildered why he had lost to Xiao Muhan.

On the other hand, Xiao Muhan was looking spirited and delighted as he looked at all the scantily dressed maidens around him.

He was laughing softly while saying, “These maidens are all going to be in my paintings! The Trial Spirit is so good to me…”

Finally, Ji Yuan had a sudden inspiration as he said aloud to himself: That must be it. It must be that Trial Spirit that is screwing me up. Didn’t she say that she will send me to the most difficult Divine Consort for my trial…

Dang!

This did not help to improve Ji Yuan’s mood at all.

They were now hunting the streets in the hope that they would encounter a random Divine Consort.

Now, meeting a Divine Consort in the city proved to be harder than they were expecting. It was because this was too random and a Divine Consort would never be in the streets without any of her entourage.

They soon found out that they had another problem; even if they did see a Divine Consort, how the heck are they going to approach her without any excuse?

In the end, even Xiao Muhan was also looking as sheepish as Ji Yuan as the hours went by as he realized the problems.

This trial was getting harder than what they were expecting.

Xiao Muhan asked Ji Yuan, “So shall we go back and ask Maiden Flower Ju instead like erm… where the Divine Consorts are staying?”𝓃𝐎𝗏𝓮𝓵𝓃𝗲xt.𝑐𝑜𝗆

Ji Yuan said coldly, “And then? Storm in? We need an excuse to meet them, you know. Do you think that they will be around on the left and right in the street, waiting for us to chat with them?”

All of a sudden Ji Yuan was frowning; it was because he had suddenly spotted the extremely beautiful maiden ‘Han Muyuan’ in front of him as he walked into the bazaar area of the city.

He hissed softly to Xiao Muhan, “This Han Muyuan is just everywhere! She must be following me and is only interested in my good looks!”

Xiao Muhan hummed as he answered back softly, “You should just stick with her and leave the Divine Consorts to me. You really think that I didn’t know what you have been thinking? Don’t forget that I am your little worm in your stomach for more than 2 centuries!”

Ji Yuan returned a bitter smile, “How come you are still alive in my stomach after such a long time?”

Xiao Muhan: …

Divine Consort Tang Manni aka Han Muhan was laughing cheerfully with a group of her followers when she had suddenly spotted Ji Yuan and she was gasping with disbelief that she would actually encounter him here in the streets.

This must be fate?

She was actually traveling incognito and only her followers know who she really was.

Even the Spiritas in the streets would not be able to recognize her since she was donning a thin veil and was not in a spendid golden robe of a Divine Consort.

However, Ji Yuan was able to recognize her at first glance, veil or no veil because he had been in close contact with her for a few days and he had recognized her signature scandals and earrings.

A female follower immediately whispered to her when she saw her startled look, “Divine Consort, shall we clear the two ugly men that are in front of us?”

But Divine Consort Tang Manni waved her back with a faint smile, “This won’t be necessary. I know the two of them…”

Her heartbeat was suddenly pacing fast when she had suddenly spotted Ji Yuan; it was because no man had ever pushed her to the wall like what he did and had even molested her face.

Since that day, she had been quietly cursing him but she did not want to return to the tavern to be humilated by him again…

But this was really unexpected and this lighten her mood even more.

So, she walked forward with a wry smile. “Who do we have here? Isn’t this Ji Yuan and Xiao Muhan?”

Ji Yuan frowned when he saw her, “Maiden Han Muyuan. Surely this isn’t a coincident right? You must have been following us. How many times must I tell you that I am not interested in you. I am not interested in any married maiden. But married or not, it is unnecessary to use such devious scheme to get my attention. I am just too smart for that.”

The smiles that were on Divine Consort Tang Manni had suddenly disappeared and she was now staring coldly at Ji Yuan with a murderous look.

Even the followers behind her were shocked…

Xiao Muhan panicky said to Ji Yuan, “Ji Yuan, I know that you got a rude mouth. But you don’t have to hurt her in this manner. Married or not, she is still a great beauty that deserves some love from you. You can always dump her after bedding her, you know…”

“But this will drop straight into her trap, right?” Ji Yuan interrupted Xiao Muhan, “What if she turns up to be an evil dual cultivator that seeks to turn me into her depraved slave. Then won’t I be just like you…”

Divine Consort Tang Manni: …

I want to kill these two men…

The only thing that was restricting Divine Consort Tang Manni now was that Ji Yuan was still within the sphere of influence of Fairy Concubine Xu Yifei and this was not her power influence.

She was not exactly afraid of Fairy Concubine Xu Yifei but she respects her as a half-step sister. Moreover, in the past, Fairy Concubine Xu Yifei was known as one of the greatest Divine Consorts in the Spirit Divine Realm.

The reason why she was a Divine Consort now was mainly due to her sister’s tutelage.

That was also the reason why she could visit Fairy Concubine Xu Yifei’s tavern when it pleased her and also because why she was willing to call her ‘mistress’ in front of her servants even though she was now a Divine Consort.

No matter what her status is now, Xu Yifei is always her most beloved step-sister and it is not something their Spirit Titles is able to change.

Ji Yuan was suddenly distracted by a hot pizza that was smelling really nice next to him.

So, he laughed, “You know I like my maidens, like how I like my pizza…”

Xiao Muhan asked curiously, “Hot and ready?”

“No,” Ji Yuan frowned. “Freshly baked like a chaste maiden.”

He had purposely said this aloud so that Han Muyuan could hear him loud and clear.

Divine Consort Tang Manni was naturally upset when she had heard Ji Yuan and she was trembling.

She shot him an icy look before she turned around to storm off with a burst of anger, causing her 8 female followers to quickly hasten after her.

Xiao Muhan turned to Ji Yuan with a frown, “Is this really necessary? What if you have broken her heart? I can tell that she had an excited look when she saw you.”

Ji Yuan sighed softly, “I have no other choice. I am not from this divine realm and can only stay for only 70 days. I don’t want to screw her future so it is better that I bust her illusions as quickly as possible. Also, I don’t want to have any attachments to this divine realm.”

This was the same reason why he had rejected the advance of Fairy Concubine Xu Yifei as well even though he could tell that she was interested in him.

He neglected to mention to Xiao Muhan that the Divine Consorts in this place was an exception to his rule. It was because he had to earn 100 Trust Points from them as the main condition in this trial.

Xiao Muhan frowned, “Well, I hope that you don’t regret this.”

Ji Yuan laughed jovially, “Honestly, I don’t know the meaning of the word ‘regret’. It is not even in my dictionary. Haha…”

Xiao Muhan began to stroke his beard as he nodded, “Well, you’re speaking like a true cultivator for once now. A cultivator never regrets his decision, whether it is a bad or good thing. This is his karma.”

Ji Yuan grinned as he patted Xiao Muhan, “Brother Xiao Muhan, well said indeed like a wise cultivator! Any cultivator that regrets anything ought to eat shit instead!”

Xiao Muhan took a slow look at Ji Yuan before he frowned, “You say this. I didn’t force you to say this.”

Ji Yuan laughed as he patted heartily on Xiao Muhan, “Until today, no one has ever forced me to eat any shit. Haha…”
