The Romantic Cultivator

Chapter 534 Bliss City Arena Final Trial (4)

As soon as Ji Yuan had said to the Smiling Divine Maiden that he would need more time for his meditation, he had suddenly chuckled. “I am ready.”

The Smiling Divine Maiden was startled as she displayed an incredible look at him, “Are you sure about it?”

Ji Yuan nodded as he began to do his warming up exercises in front of her and he was grinning, “Haha…”

The Smiling Divine Maiden hummed softly as she turned around, “Then don’t say that I didn’t give you any time for you to do your meditation.”

Ji Yuan’s eyes were shining as he looked at her butt and her jade legs from her short skirt…

Xiang Li face-palmed herself: Now I know where big brother motivation is coming from…

Anyang nodded as she eyed the Smiling Divine Maiden with an envy look: She has a body and face that can cause any man to willingly die for her…

Ji Yuan ignored them as he walked to the edge of the broken wall ruins as he looked down on the streets below where the ancient desolate raptor was prowling for signs of any cultivators. Slowly he turned to look at the Smiling Divine Maiden, “Are you ready?”

The Smiling Divine Maiden chuckled to herself before she smiled with her captivating eyes at Ji Yuan again, “I am just afraid for you. I am always ready.”

Ji Yuan laughed softly; he had finally realized today why this Maiden Chu Lixue was called the Smiling Divine Maiden because her smiles could captivate any men that were looking at her. And she was smiling not for anyone but for herself. There was a triple smile to her smiling countenance. Firstly she would smile to herself before she would smile with her eyes and lively lips to another.

Even though Ji Yuan was not someone that could easily be captivated by a maiden’s smiles but she was really good to look at. Moreover she also had a devil figure to match with her peerless look.

The Smiling Divine Maiden had suddenly shouted alluringly, “Go!”

And she had jumped down from a terrifying height of 50m.

When Ji Yuan had recovered from his daze, he was already 2 blinks of an eye too late.

The Smiling Divine Maiden began to speed through the streets toward the gigantic ancient desolate raptor which immediately reacted with devastating speed to plow its sharp claws and body talons all around it, exploding the entire street with its killing profound powers.

But the Smiling Divine Maiden simply flashed through the multiple waves as though she could sense where the attacks were coming from and she had quickly sped past the gigantic ancient desolate raptor. All in all, she had taken 15 blinks of an eye and another 5 blinks of an eye to reach the other side of the towering walls, taking precisely 20 blinks of an eye before she started to speed up the walls on the other side.

Ji Yuan was startled at her speed and the way she had evaded the rest of the monster’s attacks. “This evasion… where did I seem to have seen this before…”

For Ji Yuan, he was bombarded with dozens of fierce attacks all around him but he was nimble enough to evade the attacks as he sped past the gigantic ancient desolate raptor.

But he was a little slow and took 24 blinks of an eye to run to target walls at the other side of the street.

It was only then that he had noticed that the gigantic ancient desolate monster had turned to attack him with all its profound strength and the entire street had exploded thunderously as the profound aura of the monster was awakened.

Ji Yuan now knew why the Smiling Divine Maiden had only given him 20 blinks of an eye.

The Smiling Divine Maiden was already halfway up the towering walls when she saw that Ji Yuan was in trouble.

She was actually half-expecting for him to perish while running across the street as he was killed by the gigantic ancient desolate raptor but somehow he had evaded the bulk of the fierce profound attacks and she was startled.

“This evasion of his… is so similar to mine?”

Ji Yuan was now regretting that he had been distracted by the Smiling Divine Maiden and also because he did not know how powerful this ancient desolate raptor was.

One must know that even a seventh rank profound desolate monster was a match for a great saint and could even kill one due to its strong physique and regenerative abilities.

And Ji Yuan was facing a ninth rank immortal class ancient desolate raptor of impossible profound strength to beat.

𝑵𝑶𝑽𝐄𝗅𝓷𝓮xt.𝒸𝒐𝐌

So he was just trying to evade this gigantic monster that was towering over him instead of wasting his precious profound strength to fight it. It was because the disparity in power between the two of them were simply too great.

Usually when a ninth rank desolate monster had spawned from the depths of the desolate mist, all the golden celestials from the surrounding regions would put down their differences and join their hands to fight it. Usually there would be thousands of non-golden celestials that would be used as cannon fodders because the life of even one golden celestial was simply too precious to be wasted.

Ji Yuan had quickly sped up to the towering walls but the gigantic ancient desolate raptor had already seen where he was going and had smashed against the towering walls, causing Ji Yuan to lose his balance!

Suddenly, the Smiling Divine Maiden had flashed behind the gigantic head of the raptor and had attacked it.

This startled Ji Yuan who had fallen onto the ground again.

The Smiling Divine Maiden shouted panicky at Ji Yuan, “Don’t just stand there. Muster the vital profound energies of your breath and go up again. I… will be fine…”

Ji Yuan was uncomfortable that he had been saved by a maiden but he listened to her nevertheless because he did not want to distract her.

In 8 blinks of an eye, he had climbed up to the top of the towering wall, short of the 6 blinks of an eye target that she had set for him.

Ji Yuan could only fall with his knees on the top of the platform because he had expended so much of his temporary profound strength to maintain his speed and he needed to urgently regained his vital breath by stabilizing his erratic profound energies in his inner spiritual sea.

The Smiling Divine Maiden flashed behind and forward of the gigantic ancient desolate raptor and she had only slightly injured it on her first strike and the rest of her attacks were merely distraction.

Like Ji Yuan, she was also reluctant to waste her profound strength to fight against this monster. Instead, she was more interested to conserve her profound strength for evading it and running away.

Indeed, after she saw that Ji Yuan was safe on top of the tall stone platform, she had quickly sped up to join Ji Yuan and had collapsed breathlessly near to him.

As the ancient desolate raptor was now smashing against the walls that they were at and its profound attacks could still affect the top of the platform, Ji Yuan had quickly grabbed the Smiling Divine Maiden as they escaped in another direction together.

Ji Yuan saw that the Smiling Divine Maiden was sweating profusely and looked a little powerless just like Ji Yuan was earlier.

It was as though they had both made the trip back from hell.

Right now, Ji Yuan was carrying her in both arms and he was looking at her sweating sensuous body. He could only mutter silently that this was too sinful for him to behold…

After a while the Smiling Divine Maiden quickly waved for him to stop as she said slowly in his strong arms, “I am alright now.”

With that she had got off from Ji Yuan’s strong arms, afterward she had immediately displayed her profound force to dry herself up completely from her fragrant sweats.

She muttered, “Thank you…”

Ji Yuan felt a little bad as he quickly said awkwardly, “I should be the one that should say thank you instead.”

The Smiling Divine Maiden turned her head away, “It’s alright. We are a… team.”

This was the first time that she had acknowledged that they were a team.

Ji Yuan laughed awkwardly, “Just now when you go to the back of that monster’s head, did I see a short sword in your sleeve?”

All of a sudden, the Smiling Divine Maiden had shot him with a dreadful look and she was no longer smiling, “You know too much!”

Ji Yuan began to laugh awkwardly, “Don’t be so upset. I won’t tell anyone… Haha…”

He had always seen her fighting unarmed and he had assumed that it was due to the mastery of her powerful profound arts. But today he had actually seen her with an immortal-step short sword that was hidden under her sleeves.

The sword energies that had suddenly burst out discreetly earlier was unmistakable to Ji Yuan. It was because he could feel the sword profound energies in her fingers earlier but she had chosen to conceal it as her trump card.

He turned to ask her with a suspicious look, “You didn’t happen to be reclusive sword saintess, right?”

The Smiling Divine Maiden chuckled with amusement, “Do I look like one? So what if I am one and so what if I am not?”

Ji Yuan laughed weakly, “That is because I happen to be a sword saint.”

The Smiling Divine Maiden giggled jovially all of a sudden, “You don’t look like one. Your swordplay is just so and so.”

Ji Yuan: …

Darn my old man. I knew that I have always joined the wrong sword sect…

But he was suddenly solemn as he inhaled deeply, “I am really afraid for the Lovely Empress now. This place is too dangerous for her.”

The Smiling Divine Maiden stopped her soft laughter immediately and there was a look of guilt in her captivating golden eyes. If their plan works as planned, her sister the Lovely Empress would be with her right now.

She turned to stare angrily at Ji Yuan, for with this man, none of her plans seemed to have worked.

Ji Yuan saw her angry looks, “What is wrong?”

The Smiling Divine Maiden coldly hummed at him, “So you like my sister? But you have only just remembered her.”

Ji Yuan looked weakly at her, “I am always concerned for her…”
