Chapter 1077: Want To Follow Bai Xifeng To Capital City
Chapter 1077: Chapter 1077: Want To Follow Bai Xifeng To Capital City
Not a single one of them had ever, even in their wildest and most outrageous dreams, imagined that the tiny, adorable tiger cub was actually the legendary, terrifying Beast King of this generation.
The grand revelation was simply far too unbelievable for their minds to accept immediately without leaving their heads spinning in total shock.
"It is really crazy. Xifeng, you are genuinely crazy." Ning Shoukai finally commented, breaking the stunned silence while shaking his head in sheer disbelief.
Smack!
Xie Lanying immediately reached out and smacked Ning Shoukai right on the back of his head.
"Ouch! Hey, that actually hurt!" Ning Shoukai rubbed his sore head pitifully, glaring at her with teary eyes.
"Why the heck are you calling her crazy when she just pulled off a miracle?" Xie Lanying demanded, crossing her arms.
"Well, it really is completely crazy! Think about it. No one in the entire world outside this yard knows that the supreme Beast King already has a master." Xie Zixin added, his eyes wide as he digested the truth.
"Yeah. He is definitely got a point there." Xie Yanlin nodded in full agreement, whistling softly.
"By the way, are you all going straight back home tomorrow?" Bai Xifeng asked, smoothly changing the topic away from her absurd luck.
"What? Aren’t you going straight home too?" Xie Lanying asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"I will eventually, but I might make a bit of a detour first." Bai Xifeng stated casually.
"A detour? Where on earth are you planning to go?" Ning Shoukai asked curiously, his pain instantly forgotten.
"I am going to the Capital City first. I need to get a few important things sorted out over there." Bai Xifeng explained.
"Can I go with you?" Ning Shoukai asked immediately, his face lighting up.
"What? You want to come with me?" Bai Xifeng was visibly surprised when she heard Ning Shoukai’s sudden request.
"Well, in the end, you are going to head to Xianying City afterwards anyway, right?" Ning Shoukai grinned broadly. "I want to take this golden opportunity to visit the bustling Capital City of the Liuyin Empire!"
"Hmm... That’s actually a fantastic idea. Count me in too." Xie Lanying said without a single second of hesitation.
"Since Sister Lanying is going, I think the rest of us will come along as well." Xie Qingge said, speaking for the group with a warm smile.
Bai Xifeng looked around at all their eager, expectant faces before finally giving in with a defeated smile.
"Fine... Fine... It’s entirely up to all of you, then." Bai Xifeng waved her hand helplessly, though she could not hide her contentment.
"Alright! Let me head back to my room right now and pack my things." Xie Lanying said cheerfully.
Everyone nodded in agreement before leaving the Inscriber Division together in high spirits.
....
The next morning, Bai Xifeng had already completely packed all of her belongings and was fully ready to leave. She strolled over toward the stone gazebo and saw Ji Yuan sitting there sipping his tea, looking as serene as usual.
"Good morning, Teacher Ji." Bai Xifeng greeted him with a bright smile.
"Are you going home now?" Ji Yuan asked, setting his teacup down.
He already knew that Principal Qiao Wenhao had officially decided to close the school for a month and had given all the students a month-long vacation for repairs.
"Hmm... But I will be stopping by the Capital City first before going all the way home." Bai Xifeng replied cheerfully.
"Is your home in the Capital City?" Ji Yuan asked, a rare hint of curiosity in his tone.
Bai Xifeng was slightly taken aback by his question. They had never really talked about their personal backgrounds or hometowns before, so she was genuinely surprised that Ji Yuan had assumed she was originally from the Capital City.
"Well, my primary home is currently located in Xianying City, where my father and elder brother are officially stationed." Bai Xifeng explained patiently. "I do actually own a private residence in the Capital City as well, but no one is currently living inside it at the moment."
"Then why do you want to make a detour and stop by the Capital City first?" Ji Yuan asked.
"Oh... I need to sort out a few important personal matters over there." Bai Xifeng replied, her eyes flashing with a sharp light. "My personal people are still residing in the Capital City, and I want to personally bring them over to Xianying City to settle down."
"I see. Then, take good care of yourself during the long journey." Ji Yuan said softly, offering a subtle nod of approval.
"Teacher Ji, to be honest, I am actually far more worried about you than myself." Bai Xifeng said, leaning forward slightly with a slight frown.
"Huh?" Ji Yuan looked at her in mild confusion, blinking.
"You really need to remember to eat proper, actual meals while I’m gone. Real food." Bai Xifeng said with a deeply serious expression. "Don’t just lazily rely on tasteless fasting pills all the time."
Before she had officially become his direct student, Teacher Wei Shan had explicitly warned her that Ji Yuan usually survived exclusively on bland fasting pills for months on end instead of bothering to cook or eat proper food. That was the exact reason why, after officially becoming his student, she had made it a constant habit to bring freshly cooked, hot food and sit down to eat together with him whenever she had the chance. Now that she was leaving the school grounds for an entire month, she could not help but deeply worry that he would immediately relapse back into his old, unhealthy habits.
