Chapter 454 - 453: Is Something the Matter?
Chapter 454: Chapter 453: Is Something the Matter?
As more and more people arrived, Yiyi and the others were all so busy their feet barely touched the ground, and it wasn’t until around seven or eight in the evening that they finally had some free time.
Seeing Kong Mingsheng looking exhausted, Yiyi felt a bit ashamed.
"Master, let’s go grab some food first."
Kong Mingsheng waved his hand, saying, "No need, it’s already late, we’ll head back now."
Seeing that Kong Mingsheng really didn’t want to stay for dinner, Yiyi didn’t say much more, only adding, "Master, let me take you back then, you’ve really worked hard today. I should have insisted you returned at noon." Although the master rested for a while later, he came out again as more people arrived to help.
Kong Mingsheng waved his hand, said, "No problem, have your senior brother take me back."
"That’s right, junior sister, I’ll take Master back, no need to worry," Qian Jinfan said with a smile.
Qi Renkun nodded in agreement, "That’s right, junior sister, Senior Brother and I will go with Master, you just take care of things on your end."
Hearing this, Yiyi didn’t say more, simply asking them to wait for a moment. She then hurried to the backroom, fetched three gift boxes, and handed them over, saying, "Master, senior brothers, these are some new teas I made recently. Take them back and give them a try; I think they taste quite good and you’ll probably like them."
Since it was tea, the group gladly accepted.
Watching the three leave, Yiyi turned to Tao Cuizhu and the others, saying, "Cui Zhu, let’s go grab some food first, then I’ll take you back to school."
Tao Cuizhu and Cao Panpan waved their hands simultaneously and said, "No need, Yiyi, we can head back on our own, there’s no need for dinner. We’ll just grab something once we’re at school."
"If you go back now, the cafeteria will be closed; what can you eat?" Saying this, Yiyi directly pulled them along with Mo Ping to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
After dinner, Yiyi turned to Mo Ping, saying, "Mo Ping, I’ll leave the pharmacy and factory to you for now; please take Master Zhao back."
"Don’t worry, boss, I know what to do. You can go to your classes without concern tomorrow."
Yiyi nodded upon hearing this, then took Tao Cuizhu and the others back.
"Yiyi, you really don’t need to accompany us back; we can manage ourselves." Cao Panpan glanced at Yiyi with some helplessness, feeling she was imposing too much.
Wei Xiwen and the others also nodded, "Yeah, there’s so many of us, what are you worried about."
Yiyi laughed and said, "Actually, I’m headed the same way; I’m going back to school tonight, and don’t I have classes tomorrow?"
"Really, Yiyi, are you staying in the dorm tonight?"
Cao Panpan asked curiously.
Yiyi nodded, "Yes, I’m staying at school tonight."
"That’s great, you haven’t stayed in the dorm for ages; we can chat properly tonight."
The others were very pleased to hear this, even Tao Cuizhu was smiling broadly.
Once they returned to the dormitory and finished freshening up, they lay in bed, chatting slowly at first, but soon all was silent; they were worn out today, and fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillows.
Listening to the even breathing, Yiyi couldn’t help but smile, then closed her eyes and fell asleep too.
When Yiyi woke the next day, the others were still asleep. She got up first, washed her face and bought breakfast at the cafeteria; by the time she got back to the dorm, the others were getting up.
"Yiyi, you’re up so early."
Cao Panpan yawned and commented, then saw the large bag of breakfast Yiyi carried, asking, "Yiyi, why did you buy so much breakfast?"
Yiyi lifted the bag, saying, "Quick, go wash your faces and brush your teeth, then come have breakfast. We’ll go to class once we’re done."
Only then did they realize Yiyi had gotten up early to buy breakfast for them.
"Yiyi, you’re too kind."
Cao Panpan exclaimed with excitement, then rushed off to wash up, while everyone else sped up too. Once everyone sat for breakfast, Yiyi laid out everything she bought, "You worked hard yesterday; I’ll count this as overtime."
"Yiyi, that’s not right, we’re friends, why make it so formal? As your classmates, it’s only right to help out," Tao Cuizhu quickly said, feeling Yiyi was giving them too much; they shouldn’t endlessly take advantage.
Yiyi replied, "Even brothers settle accounts clearly; what more when you worked yesterday? Of course I’ll count it as overtime. Okay, everyone eat up; we’ve got classes soon."
"Yiyi..."
Cao Panpan tried to say more, but Yiyi interrupted her, "Okay, okay, eat quickly; finals are coming up, we can’t afford to miss any more professional classes."
Seeing Yiyi’s firm attitude, they didn’t say more, realizing they needed to hurry or risk being late for class.
After breakfast, everyone quickly headed to class.
This morning consisted only of professional courses, so Yiyi and the others focused intently. After class ended, they relaxed their necks, readying to grab lunch, but upon leaving the classroom, Yiyi frowned.
"Yiyi, junior, we meet again."
Standing before them was Tang Tianyou, dressed in white, with decent looks that drew many sneaky glances from girls.
Yet when Yiyi saw him, she instantly disliked him, finding his gaze very off-putting.
Tao Cuizhu and the others also showed mild expressions upon seeing Tang Tianyou; while they once admired his looks, skills, and internship at a big hospital, their perceptions changed seeing Yiyi’s dislike, finding his actions odd.
Tang Tianyou ignored the surrounding stares and focused on Yiyi, saying, "Yiyi, junior, let’s grab lunch together."
Yiyi immediately shook her head in refusal, "No need." Then she prepared to leave.
Tang Tianyou hurried in front of Yiyi, repeating, "You guys must be heading to the cafeteria for lunch; we could go together."
Following this, surrounding girls eyed Yiyi with hostility, some whispering, "How arrogant, to refuse Senior Tang’s invitation, for lunch even. Who does she think she is?"
"Exactly, she’s only a bit pretty, what’s she acting up for?"
Yiyi’s face soured and she was about to speak when a clear voice interrupted, "Excuse me, what business do you have with my fiancée?"
