Liu Qiang didn’t know Huo Qian was standing guard in a hidden corner of the greenhouse. He thought it was just him and Yang Jing inside.
Yang Jing knew, because she had seen Shen Lu bring food to Huo Qian.
"What is it?" Yang Jing asked.
"Are you deaf? I told you to get over here and till the land."
"That’s the job Little Deer gave you. My job is to thin the seedlings."
"Cut the crap. Are you going to do it or not?"
Liu Qiang’s attitude was extremely domineering, as if he and Yang Jing weren’t divorced and he could still order her around like before.
Yang Jing shot Liu Qiang a look of disgust, then turned her head back and continued with her work.
This act provoked Liu Qiang. He let out a loud shout and stormed over to Yang Jing.
"What’s with that attitude, Yang Jing? Don’t you understand the situation? Shen Lu is only letting you work here because of me! Believe it or not, I can have her kick you out right now!"
Yang Jing felt a little panicked inside, but she appeared calm on the surface.
"The reason I’m here has nothing to do with you."
