Chapter 1330: Society Monk
Orna said, “Orante, it’s fine if you do that. Why do you have to offer bounties to get someone to steal it? Do you think that those people can succeed?”
Orante said indifferently, “If they can’t do it, we don’t need to pay a single cent. If there are no losses, why not try it?”
“But that monk isn’t simple. Do you still remember Italy? Italy almost went crazy,” said Orna.
Orante said indifferently, “That’s Italy, not America. America has the ability to make everyone shut up! No one can criticize us in our country.”
“Your phone is ringing.”
Orante picked up the phone and immediately, he heard Overmars roar angrily. “Orante, who told you to pull off those stunts in China? Who told you to steal something from One Finger Monastery? I need an explanation!”
At this point, Orante’s lips curled into a straight smile, but he still said, unfazed, “Oh, dear father, you don’t have to be so angry. I know perfectly well what to do. We just made mention of it. If we succeed, we’ll make a big profit. If we fail, we don’t suffer any losses. Don’t you find it fun to have the Chinese bite themselves?”
“Shut up! Now! Immediately! Right this moment! Get your people to stop! Also, get the hell back here! Remember, immediately, right this moment!” Overmars roared.
“Father, you break my heart. I don’t think I’m wrong. I won’t do as you say. Or perhaps, Father, are you planning to use your power?” Orante said unhappily.
When Overmars heard that, he fell silent for a moment.
After a while, Overmars said, “I promised your mother that I wouldn’t interfere in your matters with my power, that I would love the two of you well, but now, I’ve realized that I might have overdone my love.”
“Then what do you want? Hit me?” Orante said disapprovingly.
Overmars sighed and said, “I’ve really failed. I have no ability to discipline my son. School couldn’t discipline you either. Thankfully, there is another class in this world…”
Orante asked in puzzlement, “What class?”
Overmars enunciated each syllable very clearly, “Society.”
Orante didn’t understand what Overmars meant. He asked, “Father, what do you mean by this?”
Overmars said, “It’s nothing. I promised your mother that I wouldn’t hit you. However, even if I don’t hit you, someone will. Master, I’ve realized that my doting and protecting of him previously was a wrong decision. I’ll leave the rest to you. As long as he isn’t beaten to death or crippled, feel free to do anything you want.”
Orante said strangely, “Father, who are you talking to? Master? What master? Do you really think that monk from China is that powerful? If he’s so powerful, why doesn’t he come to America to find me? If he has the ability, come and find me. Come and hit me! Let’s see who’s stronger—my security team or him! I’m not afraid!”
“Amitabha. Patron, what did you just say?” The phone’s screen suddenly lit up.
At some point in time, Orante saw that his cell phone had switched on the video function.
On the phone was a white-robed monk. He looked like a monk sitting there eating. He was holding a pair of chopsticks.
“You are… Fangzheng?” Orante didn’t consider how the two of them were in a video conversation.
He was no stranger to the person in the cell phone. After plotting for his items, he naturally knew how the owner looked like.
Fangzheng said, “Amitabha. Patron, you actually know This Penniless Monk. This Penniless Monk would like to ask you why you tried to steal This Penniless Monk’s things?”
Orante sneered. “Monk, don’t be so absolute with your words. I didn’t admit stealing from you. From what I know, the people who tried to steal from you have nothing to do with me. Besides, I don’t know you. I’m hanging up. Bye.”
In the end, Orante sadly realized that the cell phone did not have the button to hang up! Even force shutting down didn’t work.
Fangzheng smiled. “Patron, your father just said that he would let This Penniless Monk discipline you well.”
Hearing this, Orante was instantly amused. “You’re going to discipline me? Who are you? How are you going to discipline me? Are you going to beat me through the screen?”
Just as he said that, Orante saw Fangzheng give him a strange smile. “As you wish.”
Orante instantly laughed wildly. “Are you mad? Do you really think you can hit me through the screen? Come, my face is here. Hit me!”
Fangzheng raised his right hand.
Orante subconsciously cried out, “You fool. You drank too much of your kool-aid after fooling others into thinking that you have divine powers? Do you really think you have divine powers? I’m not a clown that you hired to entertain you!”
Fangzheng smiled. “You will cooperate.”
With that said, Fangzheng’s hand slapped the screen.
Orante didn’t manage to say the rest of his sentence. His face was burning with pain as he took two steps back uncontrollably.
Orante covered his face in astonishment before looking around.
In the office, there was no one else other than his sister, Orna.
Orante asked, “Orna, did you hit me?”
Orna said in surprise, “Are you crazy? I’m sitting so far away. How can I hit you?”
Orante said, “If it wasn’t you, then who was it?”
“It’s This Penniless Monk.” Fangzheng’s voice sounded.
Orante looked down and saw that the monk was smiling at him. Then, he took a mouthful of green vegetables and shouted to his side, “Jingfa, eat. Don’t smack your lips while eating.”
“Impossible! How could you hit me through the phone?” Orante said.
Fangzheng looked back at him and raised his chopsticks. He reprimanded, “I’m teaching my disciple a lesson. Shut up first.”
Using his chopsticks to stab his face, Orante covered his face as he retreated.
“Orante! Your face!” Orna pointed at Orante and cried out in surprise.
Orante looked at himself in the mirror subconsciously. In the mirror, he had a palm print on his face and two horizontal prints on his nose. It looked like a mark from chopsticks!
At once, Orante had a bad feeling. He hurriedly ran over and picked up his cell phone. “You did this?”
Fangzheng glanced at him and said, “That’s right. Do you still want to try?”
“I don’t believe it!” Orante called out.
Fangzheng chuckled. “This Penniless Monk likes you. Let’s change it to a spoon this time.”
With that said, Fangzheng took out a soup spoon and struck at the screen!
“Ouch!” Orante covered his eyes as he retreated. When he looked up, his eyes were bluish-black!
“Patron Orante, have you considered what This Penniless Monk told you?” Fangzheng asked with a smile.
Orante became afraid. Faced with such an unknown power, he was a bit frightened. Thus, he asked, “What… what do you want?”
