Light from the sunrise cut through the dark skies as morning came.
Liu Qingcheng, Cai Ling, Qing Qing, Mu’er, and Ye Mo all arrived at the Goddess’s Cave accompanied by a few of the Liu Fraction’s best warriors.
Following them were Hua Musang, Hua Cuican, and warriors from the Hua Fraction.
“Cai Ling, Liu Qingcheng! Do you think I don’t know what you all are planning?” Hua Musang laughed. “You’re planning to let that young boy fight, am I right? I was told that he was the kid who became the third man to pass the Illusion Circle. But aren’t you all forgetting something? He’s still a Spirit Cultivating Seventh Realm warrior! I’ve seen people who challenged and won against warriors at a higher level than them, but this will be the first time I’ve ever seen someone challenge a warrior who’s on another realm. Hua Cuican has already reached the Energy Shaping Second Realm and has mastered the internal force of the Energy Shaping Realm. Even her Resplendent Swordplay has improved greatly. There’s no way that he can defeat her!”
Hua Cuican stood behind her grandmother with the Resplendent Flower Sword in her hand, staring at the others proudly.
“But you have no other choice now!” Hua Musang continued. “It doesn’t matter who you send to fight Cuican, whether it be Qing Qing, Mu’er, or that guy, we’re going to win! Why don’t you just admit your defeat now and let Cuican accept the baptism of the Goddess’s Pond Essence?”
“The fight hasn’t even begun, and you’re already boasting about how strong your granddaughter is.” Ye Mo snorted. “Energy Shaping Second Realm, you say? So what?”
“Don’t get cocky!” one of the warriors from the Hua Fraction scolded. “Do you think you’re strong just because you’ve passed the Illusion Circle? You’re nothing when compared to real power!”
“Oh, really? Then why don’t you go and try the Illusion Circle for yourself?” Ye Mo mocked. “Ever since the Women City was built over a hundred years ago, only three men have passed the test. I have no idea who Li Tianqiong is, but the other two I do know. My father, Ye Qin, and me, Ye Mo! I’m a genius, and you’re just an underling. We’re both bound to different worlds. You might be stronger than me now, but I can easily surpass you in a year. We’ll see who’s laughing when that time comes.”
“You little brat!” the warrior shouted and was about to launch an attack but was stopped by Hua Musang.
“So, you’re the descendant of someone famous,” Hua Cuican said while clapping. “I’ve also heard of Ye Qin. It seems that his son is also as good as he was. But too bad geniuses are bound to be broken. Your father lost his powers during the Battle of Yidao, and you’ll lose yours today!”
Without waiting for the fight to begin, Hua Cuican unsheathed her sword. It was a sword that had complex flowers engraved on it while red petals made from energy covered the blade.
“Today, you’ll get to witness a true Mortal Level Martial Technique!” Hua Cuican laughed. “Try and block my Resplendent Swordplay–if you can, that is.”
As Hua Cuican spoke, a 30 feet tall flower sword appeared behind her made purely from energies that were shaped like petals.
Blood red petals floated around the energy sword. As the sword vibrated, the petals began to swirl around it wildly.
“This is my Resplendent Flower Sword!” Hua Cuican shouted. “Every petal are as sharp as a real blade. Let’s see how you defend against every petal!”
Warriors from the Liu Fraction could feel their hearts skip a beat as they looked at the terrifying technique. Even Qing Qing and Mu’er could feel themselves their nerves.
Hua Musang nodded happily at the huge energy sword as smiles began to appear on faces of the warriors from the Hua Fraction.
It was as if they already knew the outcome of the fight.
Hua Cuican closed her fist, and the energy sword swung mid-air. The petals began to form into many swords and rotated around Ye Mo, not giving him any chance to escape.
As the smaller swords surrounded Ye Mo, the huge sword flew higher up and swung down on Ye Mo as if it was trying to cut the sky in half.
It was at that moment Ye Mo made his move.
With 90 Dragon Energies separated into his mind’s, right leg’s, and right hand’s Mortal Gates, Ye Mo gripped the air as if he was trying to catch a star. He launched his attack, which was as powerful as a cannon, and punched the air.
With one punch, the smaller swords that were surrounding him burst into petals. Ye Mo reached behind him to his back and grabbed the Sky Blood Spear. With a thrust, he evoked the Twin Dragon Emerging from the Ocean and sent a huge amount of energy spears towards the huge sword.
The spears and sword clashed mid-air as the entire cave shook.
At the same time, Ye Mo could feel a force enter his body and begin to vibrate throughout the Rank One Dragon Blood layer that was protecting him.
The huge sword instantly broke into pieces as soon as the two techniques clash. Petals began to fall from the sky as all eyes looked at Ye Mo in awe.
“What the!” Hua Cuican shouted but did not stop her movement. “Resplendent Petals!”
The near-infinite amount of petals began to shoot towards Ye Mo like arrows.
Each of the petals was infused with Hua Cuican’s inner energy, a technique that never missed its target.
Ye Mo looked at the petals inching towards him. He swung his spear and readied himself as he turned into an Ice Dragon.
As an ice barrier formed from Ye Mo swinging his spear in an astounding speed, and the petals that came into contact with the Ten Thousand Years Absolute Zero Ice sheath instantly froze. Ye Mo launched himself forward and thrust his spear. Just as the tip was about to hit Hua Cuican, the attack stopped. Ye Mo stood firmly in front of Hua Cuican as she looked at him as if he was a terrifying war god.
“If I had not stopped my attack, you would’ve been dead by now,” Ye Mo said coldly.
It was at this moment that the spectators realized that Ye Mo had charged through the petals and stopped in front of Hua Cuican. If Ye Mo had thrust his spear an inch further, the spearhead would’ve dug itself into Hua Cuican’s throat.
“I… I’ve lost…” Hua Cuican muttered. “I’ve completely lost…”
Hua Cuican was stunned. She’d never thought that Ye Mo would counter all of her attacks by unleashing his own that was stronger than hers.
“Cuican! You haven’t lost yet!” Hua Musang shouted as she noticed her granddaughter losing her will to fight. “You still have the charm!”
“Charm?” With her grandmother’s reminder, Hua Cuican quickly took out a charm from her dimensional bracelet.
