The Martial Emperor with Dragon Blood

Even True Energy Realm warriors could not go against the power emitting from the golden light.

Some of the weaker warriors had already collapsed on the ground.

“The order of the emperor!” Xiao Yuanshan shouted as his body shook. He couldn’t even control his True Energy under the light. “The order represents the will of the emperor which no one can reject, not even True Energy Realm warriors. Any person who opposes it will meet their own death! Even the strongest bows down to his orders.”

“The… the order of the Emperor?” Wan Weiwu stuttered. He remembered what Ye Mo had just told him, that Man Tai almost got the Imperial Concubine killed, and the Emperor was seeking blood.

Man Weiwu shook in fear and looked at Ye Mo.

Ye Mo had regained his senses after his Dragon Blood had dispelled. He looked at the sky and saw a man holding a golden badge, believing that he was sent by the Emperor.

“Man Weiwu!” Ye Mo laughed. “Your death is imminent!”

The man in the white robe floated in the sky with solid True Energy wings on his back.

“This badge represents the Emperor himself! Kneel!” the man ordered coldly.

The Emperor of the Tianwu Kingdom, born with the Mark of the Emperor and blessed with the Energy of the Emperor. The golden badge represented him, and anyone who held the badge could speak in his name, as if the Emperor himself was there.

Qin Hao and Ye Kuang were the first to kneel, followed by the others around them, even the Barbarians and their High Priest.

Xiao Yuanshan and Madame Xiao also followed. Ye Mo stared at the golden badge. He didn’t want to kneel as, in his culture, he only kneeled to his significant other. Yet it wasn’t the time or place for him to be arrogant, so he half-kneeled in front of the badge.

The man smiled in satisfaction as everyone from the Limestone City got on their knees.

“The Emperor has spoken,” the man said. “He is enraged by Man Tai who almost cost the Imperial Concubine her life! The Emperor seeks blood, and the Barbarians will pay with all of their lives!”

Boom!

A huge force landed on Man Weiwu’s chest as he spat out blood from his mouth. The long legacy of the Barbarians saw their end that day.

“Not good!” the High Priest reacted and shot the other direction. The man in the white robe smirked. He extended his arm in the direction where the High Priest fled and grasped his fist. The High Priest began to feel the True Energy inside his body began to boil.

Boom!

In just a few seconds, the High Priest exploded into nothingness. The man closed his fist again, and all of Man Weiwu’s warriors turned into puddles of blood.

“Sir Liu Ming! Please spare me!” Man Weiwu begged with his shaky voice as his companions died around him.

“Man Weiwu, you and your Barbarians have given us many resources in the past. In theory, you should be forgiven for any mistakes you’ve made,” Liu Ming said as he floated in the sky. “But your biggest mistake is that your son has touched the Imperial Concubine, the most loved women of the Emperor. You’ve touched his one sore spot!”

Man Weiwu shook his head. He knew his death was near.

“Ye Mo! We Barbarians will never forgive you!” Man Weiwu roared. “The kill order only lasts for one month! As long as my elders can evade their hunt for that long, they’ll definitely come to destroy you and the Xiao Clan! With the Concealment Technique that has been passed down to us, even the strongest of the Emperor’s aides won’t be able to find them! They will come! Mark my words!”

And just like that, Man Weiwu evaporated into a mist of blood.

In Man Weiwu’s eyes, everything that he’d suffered was because of Ye Mo.

The Emperor’s kill order stated that if the individual or group who were being pursued managed to hide for one month without being captured, the Emperor would consider them as strong warriors and would call off the order.

Even if Man Weiwu was dead, many warriors remained at their base and were led by a powerful elder in the True Energy Realm.

“The Concealment Technique? This might be troublesome,” Liu Ming said and turned to Qin Hao.

“Qin Hao!” Liu Ming shouted.

“Here!” Qin Hao said.

“Concubine Qin has died in the palace due to unknown reasons. The Emperor will give you a True Energy Pill as a consolation,” Liu Ming said with his head held high and threw a pill towards Qin Hao. He snuck a look at Ye Mo and then flew towards the Barbarian’s base.

Qin Hao held the pill in his hand with mixed feelings. His sister’s death was most likely due to the Emperor’s rage.

Everyone let out sighs of relief as soon as Liu Ming left. Ye Mo tried to stand up but could still feel himself being weighed down as if by a huge boulder.

How strong is the Emperor? He was able to suppress True Energy Realm warriors just by using his badge! He’s not even here in person! Will I be able to take Qi Yin from him in three years?

“Ye Mo,” Xiao Yuanshan came over and called out. “Are you all right?”

“I’m fine,” Ye Mo nodded. “What is the Concealment Technique that Man Weiwu just mentioned?”

“It’s a powerful technique that can hide a whole palace without any trace,” Xiao Yuanshan explained and sighed. “There’s a high possibility that the elders will be able to stay hidden for a month. And after that, he’ll definitely come for us.”

“Don’t worry, Mr. Xiao,” Ye Mo said. “I’ll find a way. Plus, there’s still a chance that the Emperor will destroy the Barbarians first.”

Even though many things had happened that day, one sure thing was that Ye Mo would be known to the whole Limestone City as a genius that surpassed Ye Qin, a Spirit Cultivating Fifth Realm warrior that could destroy an Energy Shaping First Realm warrior on his own. His name will continue the legend left by Ye Qin in Qingyun Alliance.

Ye Mo went back to the Xiao mansion and began to focus on making pills. The Xiao clan had bought all of the ingredients from the Hundred Treasure Pavilion for Ye Mo. He was going to leave the Xiao mansion soon, and he wanted to give them as many pills as possible.

The thing Ye Mo wanted to do most at that moment was to get his hands on the Goddess’s Tear and revive Ling’er.

With Ling’er’s vast knowledge, Ye Mo might be able to find a way to fight against the Barbarian elders.

In just two days, Ye Mo created 5000 Fortifying Pills, 6000 Stabilizing Pills, 6000 Priming Pills, 10 Energy Shaping Pills, and one True Energy Pill.

Ye Mo even helped refine the Energy Shaping Pills and True Energy Pill with his Dragon Energies.

Qin Hao advanced to the True Energy Realm one day after he’d received the True Energy Pill from Liu Ming. The Qin Clan regained its former position as the strongest clan in Limestone City which retained Qin Hao’s City Lord position. Yet, with the pills that Ye Mo had left with the Xiao Clan, they might still be able to surpass the Qin Clan in the future.

In the meantime, Ye Mo could only think of how he would revive Ling’er as she had already become a companion that would be imperative during his journey.
