Normally, students and instructors only needed to stand a few hundred meters from the cliff to draw in demonic energy.

“Don’t touch me!” Meng Zisu screamed, slapping his hand away harshly. She shouted hysterically, “Why did you save me? Who told you to save me?”
Song Zhen was stunned for a moment.
He had always hated it when women acted irrationally or lost control in a hysterical fit.
But when Meng Zisu let out that shrill scream, he could feel the raw despair and heartache behind it.
When Meng Zisu shouted “Don’t touch me”, it somehow stirred a distant memory deep within him, leaving him momentarily dazed.
For a moment, he didn’t know how to react.
Meng Zisu started running from the ground, stumbling toward the cliff again.
However, before she took another step, she was pulled back again.
Meng Zisu thrashed wildly and shouted, “Let go of me! Let go! Whether I live or die, what’s it got to do with you? Get out! Leave me alone!”
A harsh slap landed squarely on Meng Zisu’s face, the sting burning hot. She was stunned, unable to speak.
