The Invincible Dragon Emperor

Yan Gu had been waiting in the City of Heaven’s Roars for over a month. He was restless with anxiety.

Lu Li had been gone for over a month. Yan Gu speculated that Lu Li had gone to the Inferno, but there was nothing he could do. He could not break down spatial barriers and go to the Deserted World where he could achieve nothing. It was not like he could go to the Inferno to capture Lu Li’s families or friends.

The powerful warriors from the nine universes and some others from the Prison of Primordial Chaos spent years to break down a dozen spatial barriers to arrive at the Heaven Reverse Universe.

The Yan Family paid the price to get the Wicked Bead. They paid others in a large number of Divine Sources. Even with Yan Tiangang, the Divine Sources could not come easily. Yan Tiangang had to bear the cost to send things back to the Yan Family.

If Yan Gu had obtained the Wicked Bead, then everything would be worthwhile. However, now that the Wicked Bead was out of reach and many lives had lost. How could Yan Gu remain calm?

He believed that if he had just led the team back now, his Family Patriarch would kill him in a fit of rage. How else could they answer to Yan Tiangang?

Say his life was spared, his branch of the Yan Family would forever be belittled and marginalized, which would result in ultimate destruction. Yan Gu shouted after some thoughts, “Put up posters in all the cities we control. Tell Lu Li that—if he does not come out in 10 days, I will take actions. I will execute one hundred million first, and he will see the death of another one hundred million in each passing day!”

Jun Hongye, Feng Wanhu, Chen Tianxian, and Yan Gu had over two billion civilians in total. Yan Gu planned to murder a group of them to see if Lu Li could remain calm. Yan Gu would not want to be trapped and killed by Lu Li’s possible plot.

Yan Gu believed Lu Li would be notified soon after posters went up in most of the cities. The existence of Bond beast had been discovered.

Yan Gu did not kill some of the subsidiary bodies for he wanted Lu Li to know about the situation and the fact that he had captured a large number of humans.

Soon, in many cities, posters with Yan Gu’s words went up. He even dispatched people to send a message to Chen Tianxian and Jun Hongye for them to always stay on guard in case 10 days later Lu Li would start killing them like a cornered beast. In that case, Yan Gu would have all the humans they captured murdered and then drown the Heaven Reverse Universe with blood.

After Yan Gu put up the posters, Lu Li was notified in the time for three incense sticks to burn. He Yue had been monitoring the Great Land, and she obviously knew what was happening very well.

“Ten days? That’s enough!”

Lu Li was back at the King Kong City and had rested for half a day. He stood up and said, “Ke Mang, time to go!”

Lu Li did not tell the others about the immortal’s body other than Patriarch of Law Enforcement and Lu Zhengyang. He did not inform Jiang Qiling or the twins. He only told them to relax and that he was confident that he would win.

“Lu Li, let me go with you.”

Patriarch of Law Enforcement stood up. “I am the Patriarch of Law Enforcement from the Demon-slaying Hall. People of the Great Land are suffering. I cannot sit around and do nothing!”

“Not now, Great-grandpa!”

Patriarch of Law Enforcement was just like a regular Semi-God Realm warrior. He would not be of great help. Instead, Lu Li would be worried. He said with a smile, “Stay here and wait for my update.”

He then nodded to Jiang Qiling and the others as a goodbye. Afterwards, he took Ke Mang, Master of Haechi and Master of Fairy Fox with him and flew toward the entrance of the Inferno.

He left the Inferno and headed toward the Central Plains from that secret passageway in the Deserted World. Lu Li said to Ke Mang, Master of Haechi and Master of Fairy Fox, “Do as I told you. Make sure you will arrive in 10 days.”

Ke Mang nodded, “Don’t worry, Saint Lord. I will spare no pains.”

Ke Mang, Master of Haechi and Master of Fairy Fox entered the Demon-slaying Battleground. Lu Li and He Yue stayed hidden. They did nothing else and monitored the entire Great Land, relying on He Yue’s subsidiary body.

Five days later, Lu Li flew up in the Wicked Bead. He flew for thousands of miles toward a large city. He then teleported toward the City of Heaven’s Roars.

Yan Gu and the others had controlled the Palace of Heaven’s Roars, Palace of Immortals Inquires and Red Lunar. Those places all had scouts. Therefore, several rounds of teleportation later, Yan Gu and the others were soon informed that Lu Li was on his way to them.

Knowing Lu Li was on his way to him, Yan Gu was filled with both excitement and tension. Was Lu Li here to deliver the Wicked Bead or to kill him?

After a moment of thought, Yan Gu left the City of Heaven’s Roars quietly by himself. He hid in a nearby valley. In case of an emergency, he could leave secretly. He could monitor the situation of the City of Heaven’s Roars while hiding in the valley. If Lu Li were up to something, Yan Gu would have his team murder the five hundred million people at the city’s northside at all cost.

Originally, there were only two to three hundred million people gathered here. After Yan Gu came, he was not satisfied and had his team gather all the civilians within an area of a radius of millions of miles.

The northern side of City of Heaven’s Roars was a vast plain which was now crowded with tents within a radius of hundreds of miles. The place was now densely populated. Because of a shortage of food, millions were starved to death.

Yan Gu was a malicious man. He had a Semi-God Realm warrior set up many Inhibition Formations which would do nothing before they were activated. However, once they were activated, there would be an explosion. There would be a chain reaction. How many of those hundreds of millions of humans could stay alive would be up to fate.

This was a measure Yan Gu took in case Lu Li launched a secret attack to kill him and the other Semi-God Realm warriors. With those Inhibition Formations, as long as they were not killed instantly, they could bury the hundreds of millions of humans at the city’s northside.

Lu Li teleported his way over. However, as he came near to the City of Heaven’s Roars, he flew away and vanished.

Yan Gu and the others were alerted. Yan Gu didn’t even feel safe inside the valley. He did not know if Lu Li was going to break out from the underground and kill him using that terrifying move.

Yan Gu spent the next three days being wary and filled with tension, but Lu Li didn’t do anything. Instead, after three days, he rode the Wicked Bead and arrived at the city in broad daylight.

“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh~”

Six Semi-God Realm warriors were in the city. Knowing Lu Li’s arrival, the six of them did not come to him. Rather, they flew to the city’s northside and sneak into the crowd, next to the said Inhibition Formations. Any one of them activating one Inhibition Formation would turn the hundreds of millions of people into dust.

“Why are you so nervous?”

Lu Li flew over in the Wicked Bead slowly and said, “Tell Yan Gu to come out. I am here to deliver a gift. From today on, the Wicked Bead will be his as long as my needs are satisfied.”
