Sss…
A strange sound reverberated through the dark room.
The figure Ji Fengyan was hugging stretched long under the moonlight.
The torn shirt had been shredded into strips of cloth that hung around his tough body.
The gorgeous face that had amazed Ji Fengyan countless times had lost its youthful look in this instant. Knife-sharp features, a handsome face, and a tall, slender body now loomed over the sound-asleep Ji Fengyan in the dark.
The sound of hurried breathing filled the silent room.
He glanced down at his long, beautiful fingers and at the young girl who had unknowingly fallen asleep in his arms. A wave of emotion stirred in that pair of red eyes.
But the sound-asleep Ji Fengyan noticed none of it.
In the moonlight, he gazed at the little sleeping face in his arms, and his expressionless face softened as he quietly lay back on the bed. After a while, he made to get up.
“Little brat, have a good sleep.”
“…” Someone froze completely, the hand on his hips growing as hot as a branding iron.
That insanely gorgeous face flushed even redder.
After a long internal struggle, he could only sigh softly as he carefully pried Ji Fengyan’s hands away from his backside.
The handsome man sat silently on the edge of the bed. Moonlight spilled across his broad chest. The torn clothes couldn’t cover his taut muscles, but he didn’t mind — he simply sat there, watching Ji Fengyan’s sleeping face.
“I will be back,” the man said in a low voice. He started to rise and leave, but the next instant, a force pulled him back.
He turned to find that the hem of his clothes was still clutched in Ji Fengyan’s arms. She was sleeping so soundly, yet still refused to let go.
He looked at Ji Fengyan, at a loss. His gaze drifted, against his will, to her red, tender lips.
His heart skipped a beat.
Losing all control, he leaned down and kissed the mouth that had chattered endlessly all day.
The softness and warmth of her lips seared even his soul. It was only a light touch, yet it set his body aflame. He straightened up in a panic, his long fingers rising to his own burning lips.
Looking at the oblivious Ji Fengyan, he tore away the piece of clothing she had grabbed. His tall body melted into a black shadow and vanished hurriedly into the moonlight.
Ji Fengyan slept well that night, except for a vague sense that something had disturbed her.
When the first ray of morning sunlight slipped into her room, Ji Fengyan stretched and opened her bleary eyes.
But…
The moment she opened her eyes, she froze.
Her arms were empty; only a scrap of cloth remained in her hand.
Almost the instant it registered, Ji Fengyan leapt off the bed, threw on her clothes, and strode out.
“Stupid little brat — doesn’t even know to tell me when he’s awake.”
Ji Fengyan searched the residence for half the day. She assumed Liu Huo had gone out for a stroll after waking, but…
She could no longer find that figure that had so stunned her, anywhere.
…
Mou Bei: Hahaha.
Little crazy brat: Shut up!
Mou Bei: Girl, such a pity you don’t have anyone to take advantage of anymore.
Little crazy brat: Give me back my little Liu Huo!
Mou Bei: Hehe, move aside. I have to take my daughter-in-law to eat; you can squat in the corner and grow mouldy.
Little crazy brat: Come back! Finish writing this!
Mou Bei: No, I’m hungry. I want to eat first! How would I have the energy to work if I’m not full?
