Chapter 359 - Forgetting Your Friend When You Meet A Girl
Chapter 359: Forgetting Your Friend When You Meet A Girl
There were two opposite rooms at the end of the 50th floor. Which one should he choose?
The porter thought for a while. Finally, he chose the one with a bigger room number. Then, he tagged the universal card of this floor and dragged Jiang Haoxuan into the room, placing him carefully on the bed.
He would ask Mrs. Jiang again when he went down later.
The porter thought and wiped away the sweat on his forehead. Then, he walked to the staff office slowly.
Just then, another person waved at him. “Brother Hui, it’s my turn to take over. You may go home to take care of your wife.”
The porter nodded smilingly. Then, he changed his uniform into daily clothes and walked out of the hotel from the staff elevator.
When he was on the taxi, he remembered he had forgotten to ask about the room number.
However, this shouldn’t be too important, should it?
The porter suppressed his uneasiness and was soon immersed in his joy of going home. His wife was pregnant and had resigned to stay home. That was why he always worked overtime, just to earn enough money to support his family.

The night was dark but the Fenghuang Hotel was still bright.
Xu Ziyao and Sheng An’ning confronted one another and both were silent.
After a long time, Xu Ziyao looked at Sheng An’ning profoundly and said faintly, “An’ning, you have not fully recovered. Don’t be impulsive and ask Haoxuan to drink with you.”
“Aunty…it was Haoxuan who wanted to drink…”
Jiang Haoxuan wanted to fight for the alcohol, so why did she blame her?
“Enough, I have other things to do. I’ll entertain the guests first.”
Xu Ziyao darted a look at Sheng An’ning. She threw out that sentence and then walked upstairs.
Looking at that graceful figure in cheongsam, Sheng An’ning’s eyes widened.
There was a trace of cruelty in her eyes and hostility slowly enveloped her pretty face.
Sheng An’ning was not stupid. She could feel that ever since she returned from abroad, Xu Ziyao’s attitude toward her was not as good as before.
She no longer spoke to her as politely as before.
Suddenly, Sheng An’ning thought of something. It was no wonder Xu Ziyao agreed so quickly when she proposed to postpone her engagement with Jiang Haoxuan several days ago.
On the surface, Xu Ziyao had said to consider her health but could she have dropped the idea of her marrying into the Jiang family?
When this thought arose, Sheng An’ning’s body trembled uncontrollably.
Her hands were tightly clenched and a dark light flashed through her eyes.
Although Sheng An’ning had no admiration for Jiang Haoxuan, it did not mean she was not interested in the status of young Mrs. Jiang.
Back then, she was sent to the Jiang family and when she grew up a little, she knew how much the Sheng family’s relatives wanted to claim kinship with her.
They were sure she would be the future Jiang family’s daughter-in-law.
Sheng An’ning knew she had no more hope to conquer Jiang Xuecheng but from every angle, Jiang Haoxuan was a perfect husband.
Moreover, not only was this man the second young master of the Jiang family with an exceptional status, he was obedient to what she said and loved her wholeheartedly…
He was such a piece of fat meat. Even if she was not in the mood to chew it, it would be a waste to pass it to others.
Not to mention the influence of the Jiang family, just by looking at the development of Di Chen Group in recent years and the tip of the property iceberg of the Jiang family, it was enough to strike everyone dumb.
That was why she wanted to hang on to Jiang Haoxuan even though she didn’t like him.
She had lost the one she loved and so, she couldn’t give up on the one who loved her, could she?
Taking a glance at the young couple surrounded by people on the other side of the hall, a soft smile appeared on Sheng An’ning’s face though it wasn’t genuine.
One day, she would take back everything that should have belonged to her. As for Su Wan, how could she be qualified to stand side by side with Jiang Xuecheng?

After another half hour, the banquet finally came to an end. Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng stood at the hotel entrance to see the guests off one after another.
When the guests had left, Su Wan took a long sigh of relief. She looked at Lin Fei’er, who had been accompanying her, and there was a warm feeling in her heart.
Su Wan held Lin Fei’er’s hand and her smile was serious.
“Fei’er, it has been a tough day for you.”
Although it was Su Wan’s wedding today, Lin Fei’er had accompanied her from the beginning till the end, doing lots for Su Wan silently.
“Don’t mention it.”
Lin Fei’er darted Su Wan a sideways glance and held her hand tightly.
“Today is your wedding day. As your best friend, am I not supposed to help? Wan, remember to be happy. You must be happy. Your happiness is my biggest wish.”
Su Wan choked and hugged Lin Fei’er.
“Fei’er, you too.”
Lin Fei’er glanced at the cold Jiang Xuecheng beside Su Wan and smiled.
“Alright, alright, don’t hug the third wheel. I’ll go up to rest and won’t disturb your wedding night. Goodnight.”
As she spoke, she grinned. Then she quickly parted Su Wan’s hand and avoided being the third wheel.

Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng stood at the entrance of the hotel. Although it was a summer night, the night breeze brushing on people’s skin was still cool.
Seeing Su Wan’s exposed arms covered with goosebumps, Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes darkened and he removed his outer coat.
“The night wind is strong. Drape it over.”
Su Wan smiled and just when she was about to say something, Jiang Xuecheng held her up by the waist.
Su Wan’s eyes widened. Although most of the guests had left, there were still people in the hall.
“What are you doing? We’re not at home. Put me down!”
Su Wan was uncomfortable by Jiang Xuecheng’s surprise attack. However, she didn’t dare to scream too loudly and could only hit his shoulders hard.
Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes curved and under the light of the hotel, his glass-like pupils appeared more glistening.
“Today is our wedding night. I’ll carry you back to our room.”
The last word was deliberately dragged longer and it was engraved in Su Wan’s heart. Su Wan was electrified by his magnetic voice and for a moment, she let down her hand.
Tang Yifeng, who was about to leave, saw how affectionate Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng were as they walked toward the elevator. He raised his brows mischievously.
“I was just about to pack up and go home but it suddenly occurred to me that on such an important day, there isn’t anyone to disturb the bride and groom’s wedding night. Should I add some surprise to your wedding night?”
“Get lost!”
Jiang Xuecheng darted a side glance at Tang Yifeng and his voice was cold.
Tang Yifeng pouted and started to roar with laughter.
“Look, you’re a typical example of a person who forgets his friends when he meets a girl!”
