Although the First Clear announcement was gone, they had still achieved a First Clear of the Nightmare Difficulty. After all, no guild had done this yet, which meant that the drops would be equivalent to a First Clear.
In fact, these rewards were going to be better than what Blood Red War Flag had received.
“Let’s see if we’ll be feasting tonight! Let’s go!”
Azure Sea Breeze licked his lips and could barely contain his excitement. He felt like he needed a change of equipment; Dawn’s number one Main Tank deserved the best after all.
“I have recently started taking care of even more pets, you know!?”
Remnant Dream squatted down and extended her small hands over General Drakkisath…
Meanwhile, Lu Li was sending the two other guards away. They couldn’t be healed, so sending them away was the safest choice. Everyone else was surprised, as they thought those guards were just helpers and cannon fodder for Lu Li.
“Thank you for your help. Thanks to you, executing General Drakkisath went smoothly,” Lu Li said sincerely. The most important thing to remember was that these two powerful helpers had come for free. It wasn’t clear whether Marshal Maxwell had simply forgotten, but when he looked at Hachi Chan’s face, he didn’t ask for a single piece of copper from them.
“You guys are still a little weak. You won’t be able to kill Onyxia,” one of the guards responded.
In their eyes, the true objective was to kill the Black Dragon Princess who had killed Marshal Windsor, instead of getting tangled up with her brother. In their view, the adventurers were far too weak. This kind of pride was characteristic of most NPCs in Dawn.
Different angles produced different perspectives, and they felt like the adventurers were the cannon fodder instead of them.
“We will continue to work hard. Please tell Marshal Maxwell that they will soon hear good news about Onyxia,” Lu Li said in a low voice. He despised the arrogance of the NPCs, but he was too lazy to care about them.
The two guards nodded in satisfaction before leaving with the orb.
Remnant Dream managed to find a gem, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a Level Reducing Gem. Although this gem couldn’t be used for a while, Lu Li still hoped to hoard as many as they could in the guild warehouse before their drop rates were further reduced.
However, it was still a valuable drop for a final Boss of an Instance Dungeon at Nightmare Difficulty.
This gem increased the effect of Shield Block, which was very useful for Warriors or Paladins that played a defensive role. Warriors would have priority for this item, as it had to be supported by strong basic Attributes.
There were a handful of Strengthening Stones, enough that everyone could actually receive a one.
The drop rate of Strengthening Stones wasn’t decreasing. As the players levelled up, the monsters they fought would also grow stronger. By then, even Elite monsters would have a chance of dropping a Strengthening Stone, leading to a decrease in their value. Eventually, receiving a Strengthening Stone would become a surprise, but not particularly profitable.
There were also some Lava Fragments, which were a type of Forging Material that had fire properties. They were very versatile, but many other Bosses dropped them as well.
There were two Skill Books – one for Warlocks and one for Druids. When the players reached this stage, there were very few new skills left. The next set of Enhanced skill books were not something that would easily drop, even from General Drakkisath.
There was one Silver equip, which was a joke. Lu Li didn’t look at it and immediately threw it at Azure Sea Breeze as part of his compensation.
There were three pieces of Gold equipment!
As far as Instance Dungeon Bosses were concerned, Gold equipment was not particularly valuable. Lu Li and the others were level 60 and were covered in Gold equipment at a minimum. However, these were still suitable for the ordinary players.
If a person had some money, they could use it to purchase better equipment to strengthen themselves.
There were three options – they could buy an Epic equip, buy three pieces of Dark Gold equipment or buy a whole set of Gold equipment.
To maximize strength, a full set of Gold equipment was probably the best choice. With a full set of Gold equipment, a player would easily be able to find some teammates if their technique wasn’t bad. All the Elite difficulty Instance Dungeons in Blackrock Spire required players that had a full set of Gold equipment at the very least.
However, there was no market for the Gold equipment that they had received here.
Lu Li split these between Azure Sea Breeze and Wandering once again, to compensate for their losses during the Instance Dungeon fight.
In fact, when they killed monsters in the Instance Dungeon, they would drop a few Gold coins. This was also the case for the Bosses. For example, General Drakkisath, who had just died, would drop hundreds of gold at a time since they were on Nightmare Difficulty. It was equivalent to tens of thousands in real-life money.
When the Instance Dungeon was complete, the leader of the group would loot the body and the money would be transferred to him. These were to reward his achievements in combat.
Of course, there was no way a casual team would be able to defeat General Drakkisath on Nightmare difficulty. However, even at Elite Difficulty, a few hundred gold coins would be given. These would be given to the Main Tank and Healers as compensation. The rest would then be split among the damage output players based on their position on the leader boards. This encouraged everyone to work hard.
However, Lu Li didn’t follow this tradition, and just allowed Remnant Dream to loot the body.
Remnant Dream didn’t discriminate when she looted the bodies, which meant that everyone would receive an equal amount of gold. Every time they earned gold coins from an Instance Dungeon, he would distribute some of his own share if he didn’t have a lot to repair.
This also meant that there was no need to specifically set aside portions for the Main Tank or the Healer.
After the Gold equipment, three Dark Gold equips were looted!
There had been seven pieces of equipment dropped since the start of the Instance Dungeon, even though it was the First Clear.
General Drakkisath at Elite Difficulty likely dropped 3-5 pieces of equipment. At Nightmare Difficulty, they could have theoretically received 5-7 pieces of equipment. As for how much a First Clear increased this drop rate, this was entirely up to the System to decide.
These three pieces of Dark Gold equipment couldn’t be distributed as compensation. If Lu Li wasn’t already wearing a set of equipment, he would have wanted one of the Dark Gold pants. The other two pieces were Chain Mail Armor for Magic damage output professions. No one needed those, so they were put into the guild warehouse. The last item was a Cloth Armor for Healers, which was given to March Rain, even though her equipment was mostly Epic and this was probably too low-levelled for her.
Then, there was an Epic one-handed Hammer.
Epic weapons weren’t too rare, but their Attributes were still excellent. This one-handed hammer was for Healers and it immediately attracted the attention of the two girls – March Rain and Darkness.
Because it wasn’t specific to any profession, either one of them could use it so they had to decide how they would resolve this.
