Hearing this caused Fang Lin’s expression to change dramatically. He finally understood.
“Senior, are you saying that the creatures here will break out of the Hundred Beast Ferocious Mountain?” Although Fang Lin had already guessed the majority of the story, he still asked to confirm.
“That’s likely to be the case. I’ve spoken with several of the Demon Kings here in the deepest parts of the mountain, as well as the Turtle Demon. They’ve been contemplating this for a while, and the arrival of the Silver Fox is conveniently in line with their wishes,” the Old Dried Corpse stated.
Fang Lin frowned and thought, “Then why didn’t Senior dissuade them earlier?”
The Old Dried Corpse was silent and a scornful laugh followed.
Upon hearing the Old Dried Corpse’s laughter, Fang Lin then realized that this Old Dried Corpse, who once was a Demon Saint, had no sense of belonging to the human clan. Even if the creatures of Hundred Beast Ferocious Mountain were to wreak havoc in the world, it wouldn’t be of much concern to the Old Dried Corpse.

“Senior, what should we do?” Rather than dwelling on other matters, Fang Lin asked about their way out.

You can lead these people into the deepest parts of the mountain to seek the Turtle Demon. After listening, Fang Lin nodded slightly. Given the current circumstances, this seemed to be their only option.
Immediately, Fang Lin explained his speculation to the others.
“What? A riot is about to occur in the Ferocious Mountain?” the crowd was shocked beyond measure; they had no previous inkling that this could happen.
“How could that be possible? The Hundred Beast Ferocious Mountain has been sealed here for many years. How can the beasts break free?” a young man from the Five Elements Sect immediately voiced his doubts, believing that Fang Lin was dramatically overselling the danger. He contended that these were all just conjectures from Fang Lin and held no credibility.
Fang Lin glanced at him, unconcerned and then continued, “There’s most likely no one left alive on the outskirts of the Ferocious Mountain. Now it’s our turn here. If you don’t want to die, follow me.”
The crowd began looking at each other. Fang Lin’s words were indeed hard to believe, but it was undeniable that his conjecture was terrifying. If that really happened, this Ferocious Mountain would become the most dangerous place imaginable.
“What should we do?” Mei Yingxue asked with her brows furrowed.
Fang Lin looked at the crowd and said, “At this point, the only option is to journey deeper into the Ferocious Mountain. I have a way that might help us survive.”
“What’s the plan? You can let us know now so we can assess its feasibility,” several people from the Five Elements Sect suggested, as they didn’t completely trust Fang Lin.
Fang Lin wrinkled his brow, “In the heart of the mountain, there’s a Giant Demon King. I can appeal to it for protection.”
Upon hearing this, the young members of the Five Elements Sect scoffed.
“Do you take us for three-year-olds? How do you even know that there’s a Giant Demon King deep inside the mountain? And even if it exists, how can you possibly get its protection? These lands are fraught with danger. If we venture any deeper, we’re likely to meet our demise even sooner,” the members of the Five Elements Sect remarked.
Fang Lin, somewhat irritated, gave these people a cold glance but said nothing.
“You guys are so annoying! Always fussing with your nonsensical chatter! Do you believe that I could just throw all of you out right now?!” Wang Erdan (Er Dan) spoke out in annoyance, glaring at those who objected.
Though his tone was harsh, he made a gesture to the ones from the Five Elements Sect with his eyes, signaling them to keep quiet.
Their voices fell silent and they lowered their heads.
Fang Lin noticed Wang Erdan’s gesture. Despite seeming to be a typical brute, Wang Erdan perceived things clearly.
“Fang Lin, it’s not that we don’t trust you, it’s just that we don’t have all the facts about the situation. We can’t make decisions merely based on your word,” Mei Yingxue shook her head and said.
Fang Lin sighed, “I know you don’t believe me, but we really don’t have time for further explanation. Once the Silver Fox begins its purge with the horde of demons, it’ll be too late – we’ll have no escape.”
“Fang Lin, I believe you. I’m with you,” Wang Erdan immediately voiced his support, sporting an expression that indicated he was willing to face life and death with Fang Lin.
“We also trust you.” Steward Shen and Dugu Nian also spoke. To them, they were basically in the same boat as Fang Lin. Having experienced so much on the Ferocious Mountain, they trusted Fang Lin quite a bit.
Mei Yingxue hesitated for a moment and then also nodded in agreement.
As for Dugu Ruoxu, he had no particular objections.
“Very well, let’s leave now and head for the deepest part of the Ferocious Mountain,” Fang Lin said.
The group immediately departed from their cave.

A few Demon Kings looked at Fang Lin’s group with uncertain eyes. A couple of Demons attempted to cautiously come closer, only to be driven off by an aura that inspired awe and fear from their cores, immediately halting them.
At the same time, the Silver Fox was leading its group of demons deeper into the Ferocious Mountain. Suddenly, the mark on its forehead started to flash intermittently.
The Silver Fox was taken aback, and its jewel-like eyes immediately turned in the direction of Fang Lin’s group, letting out a fierce howl.
The group of demons also began roaring in response. The roar was so deafening that it shook the ground and caused it to buzz.
“Hurry up, that Silver Fox has probably noticed you. The aura alone isn’t enough to deter it,” the Old Dried Corpse urged hastily.
Fang Lin also prompted the group to quicken their pace while moving forward, as the Silver Fox was catching up from behind.
What drew it in was not Fang Lin and the others, but the aura of the Old Dried Corpse Demon Saint.
Just then, the Turtle Demon that had been lurking in the deepest part of the mountain reemerged, seeming to warn the Silver Fox.
The Silver Fox didn’t respond. Its obsession with the Demon Saint’s aura had been making it increasingly irrational, only wanting to possess that aura.
The Turtle Demon was agitated. The next moment, a giant shadow of a Turtle Demon emerged. It was towering like a mountain, accompanied by a terrifying aura far surpassing that of a Demon King.
