Chapter 470 - 392: Tonight’s Tab Is on the Lord General
Chapter 470: Chapter 392: Tonight’s Tab Is on the Lord General
Lin Yi could no longer walk in a straight line.
His body swayed uncontrollably.
Ah Jiu had no choice but to support Lin Yi as they walked forward, doing his best to keep him on a straight path.
Fortunately, Lin Yi wasn’t as drunk as he seemed; his mind was still clear.
And just as they finished walking down the street,
the doors of several cars parked on the roadside ahead all swung open.
Some twenty-odd people filed out and began walking toward Lin Yi and Ah Jiu.
Upon seeing this, the corners of Lin Yi’s mouth lifted into a slight smirk, and he exchanged a glance with Ah Jiu.
Clearly, Lin Yi had been waiting for them for a long time.
The men drew near, blocking Lin Yi and Ah Jiu’s path.
"Our boss wants to see you. Come with us!"
Lin Yi glanced at them, his eyes bleary with drink. "Your boss? Who’s that? Am I supposed to know him?"
"Cut the fucking crap! Just do as you’re told! Drag them into the van!"
One of the men roared, his temper flaring.
A few men came over, grabbed Lin Yi and Ah Jiu, and hauled them toward a van parked by the road.
Once the van door was open, they threw Lin Yi and Ah Jiu inside.
CLANG—
The door slammed shut.
The fleet of cars started up and slowly drove away.
Shortly after the cars drove off, several figures emerged from the shadows.
One of them took out a phone and dialed a number.
After a moment, the call connected.
The man whispered, "Lord Guard, the General Director and Captain Ah Jiu have been taken. Mmm, yes, understood!"
The man nodded several times before hanging up.
Then he melted back into the darkness and vanished.
The drive took just over ten minutes.
The cars and the van stopped outside a KTV.
The place was a blaze of brilliant, colorful lights.
The entire street was lined with KTVs, and countless cars were parked out front.
Once the cars had stopped, people filed out of them one by one.
They walked over to the van.
The man in the lead walked up to the van and knocked on the window.
"Bring those two out!"
However, it was as if the driver hadn’t heard him.
His eyes were filled with terror; he didn’t even dare to glance at the man outside.
Seeing the driver’s silence, the leader’s expression darkened.
"I fucking told you to—"
Before he could finish, a RATTLE was heard.
The van door was slid open from the inside.
Lin Yi and Ah Jiu stepped out, one after the other.
But the men who were supposed to be guarding them didn’t follow.
Lin Yi glanced back at the sign. "Dynasty Karaoke?"
"What a dated name. Only classless people like you could come up with something so tacky."
Lin Yi turned to look at the men.
His eyes were filled with scorn and contempt.
"You fucking—"
Just as the man was about to step forward and attack Lin Yi,
Ah Jiu took a few swift strides and placed himself in front of Lin Yi.
CRACK—
With a sharp snap, Ah Jiu broke the man’s wrist.
"Aargh... You son of a—"
The man let out a scream like a stuck pig and was about to open his mouth to curse again,
when Ah Jiu smashed a fist into his chin.
The man was sent flying backward, his head snapping back.
He was out cold before he even hit the ground.
Seeing this, the other men all glared furiously at Ah Jiu and Lin Yi.
Raising their clubs and bats, they charged.
Lin Yi acted as if he didn’t have a care in the world, his gaze casually scanning the street.
He completely ignored the brawl that had erupted between Ah Jiu and the other men.
A non-stop chorus of pained screams filled the air.
After about ten minutes, the same men who had abducted them...
...were all lying on the ground.
Although all of these men practiced Martial Arts,
they hadn’t even reached the 1-star realm. Their combat experience was no better than a common street punk’s brawl, completely devoid of technique.
Against opponents like these, Ah Jiu could easily handle them all by himself.
Lin Yi glanced at the gang members on the ground.
He couldn’t be bothered with them and walked over to the man who had been in the lead.
The man was just regaining consciousness.
Lin Yi crouched in front of him and asked with a chuckle, "This is the place you wanted to bring me to, right?"
The man was still dazed.
His eyes kept rolling back into his head, and it looked like he could pass out again at any second.
Seeing that he wasn’t talking, Ah Jiu walked over and slapped him across the face.
"He asked you a question! What gang are you from? Were you supposed to bring us here?"
The man, lying prone on the ground, finally managed a nod after a long moment.
"Yes... I... We’re from the Crocodile Gang. The boss... the boss is in the KTV..."
Lin Yi glanced down at him, saying nothing more.
He stood, glanced at the ’Dynasty Karaoke’ sign, and strode inside with his hands in his pockets.
Ah Jiu glanced down at the man on the ground.
Then, with a single kick, he knocked the man out cold again.
Just as Lin Yi and Ah Jiu walked into the KTV,
several jeeps came roaring up.
As the jeeps pulled to a stop in front of Dynasty Karaoke,
Wei Nan and Wei Shang opened their car doors and got out.
The other Right Guards in the cars followed, getting out one after another.
FLICK—
Wei Shang lit a cigarette and exhaled a puff of white smoke.
He glanced down the street and muttered, "Shan Kui and Feng Lei are taking too long."
"Why don’t we get started?" Wei Nan said with a smile.
Wei Shang shook his head. "No rush. There are too many KTVs here. We’re short-handed."
"Let’s wait. We’ll move when everyone is here!"
Wei Nan fell silent, looking up at Dynasty Karaoke with a smile.
"So damn tacky. Who uses a name like that these days? The General Director and Ah Jiu went in here, right?"
Wei Shang glanced back. "The boss mentioned this Dynasty Karaoke when he called me just now."
The two of them exchanged a smile, saying nothing more.
They weren’t worried in the slightest, even though Lin Yi had gone in alone.
As far as they were concerned, no one in the entire KTV posed a threat to Lin Yi.
Their mission, on the other hand, was to lock down the entire street of KTVs and force all of Yangtou City’s gangs out into the open.
Inside the KTV, Lin Yi and Ah Jiu entered.
A few waiters hurried over. "Can I help you two?"
"We’re looking for the boss of the Crocodile Gang!"
"I’m sorry, our boss—"
Ah Jiu’s expression turned grim, and he threw a punch at one of the waiters.
THUD—
A single punch sent the waiter flying.
Seeing this, the other waiters dropped all pretenses of courtesy.
They pulled knives from the smalls of their backs and charged at Ah Jiu.
Ah Jiu quickly dodged.
He immediately followed up with his own fists and feet, launching a counterattack.
Lin Yi, watching from the sidelines, said with a smile, "They’re trying to kill you, and you’re still holding back?"
"Understood!"
Ah Jiu nodded, then snatched a knife from one of the waiter’s hands.
The sickening sound of stabbing echoed repeatedly.
In the blink of an eye, all the waiters were lying in pools of blood.
But just when they thought they could catch their breath,
the sound of many footsteps echoed from a stairwell.
From the sound of it, a large group of people was running downstairs.
Ah Jiu was about to deal with them when Lin Yi clapped him on the shoulder.
"You take a break. I’ll handle this batch."
The words had barely left his lips when Lin Yi vanished in a flash, rushing up the stairs.
Before anyone could even see how many people there were, a series of screams rang out.
A moment later, Lin Yi called out, "Come on up!"
Ah Jiu nodded and tossed the cleaver he was holding onto the floor.
He immediately ran up the stairs.
But when he reached the stairwell,
he saw bodies lying haphazardly all the way up. The scene was shocking.
It filled Ah Jiu with a sense of dread.
Lin Yi’s methods were far more ruthless than his own.
He hadn’t killed them, but he had brutally broken all their arms and ribs.
The kind of excruciating pain they felt was worse than death.
They followed the trail of bodies to a private room on the third floor.
One of the men pointed to a door. "Brother... Brother Yu is in there..."
Lin Yi glanced down at him. "Thanks."
CRACK—
The sound of another bone breaking rang out.
The man writhed on the floor, screaming in agony.
With that, Lin Yi pushed open the door to the room and walked inside.
The room was spacious, with a dozen bodyguards lining the walls.
On the sofa, a man in his thirties was singing into a microphone.
He was flanked by four or five young women.
Seeing this, Lin Yi smiled and glanced at the man on the sofa.
"You must be Brother Yu."
The moment the words left his mouth, all dozen bodyguards charged at Lin Yi.
But Brother Yu of the Crocodile Gang just sat there, continuing to sing.
He didn’t even spare Lin Yi and Ah Jiu a glance.
