Chapter 207: He Personally Chose a Horse for Her
Feng Qing looked indifferently at the Fifth Princess and said, “Does the Fifth Princess not know what kind of life I’ve lived before? I don’t even know how to ride a horse, why would I participate in some hunting activity? I’m here to find our Prince to have him teach me how to ride.”
After finishing her words, Feng Qing rolled her eyes, turned around, and walked away, completely ignoring the Fifth Princess behind her.
Rong Qianjin, the Fifth Princess, seeing Feng Qing ignoring her, angrily glared at Feng Qing. This ugly woman actually dared to ignore her; who gave her the courage?
The Fifth Princess’s anger flared up, and she waved her whip towards Feng Qing.
The guard from the Prince Mansion behind Feng Qing’s expression suddenly changed. A guard swiftly moved forward and grabbed the Fifth Princess’s whip with one hand.
Seeing her whip caught by the Prince Mansion guard, the Fifth Princess angrily shouted, “Let go.”
The guard didn’t move a bit; he simply looked over at Feng Qing, waiting for her instructions.
Feng Qing glanced at the Fifth Princess’s enraged face, too lazy to argue with this woman. She was eager to take care of her own important matters at the moment.
“Alright, let go of the Fifth Princess’s whip.”
Feng Qing said gently, but after finishing, when she turned to look at the Fifth Princess, her expression wasn’t very friendly.
“The Fifth Princess should show some self-respect. No matter what, I am still your aunt. You actually show such disrespect towards your aunt; what fine manners indeed.”
After mocking her, Feng Qing turned and left with her people, leaving the Fifth Princess fuming with rage, while Li Yunrui and Xia Yingfu beside her started to stir up trouble.
“Fifth Princess, did you see that? That woman doesn’t even take you seriously, let alone us.”
“Yes, previously, Marquis Jing’an Mansion sent her invitations several times, but she didn’t go. Even when my uncle got married, she didn’t go back.”
Upon hearing Li Yunrui and Xia Yingfu’s words, the Fifth Princess’s already dark face twisted further as she clenched her teeth and shouted.
“How dare she! I won’t let her get away with it.”
Feng Qing, up ahead, didn’t know about this matter. By the time she led her people to the outskirts of the Hunting Ground, most of the people participating in the hunting activities had entered the Hunting Ground, while the remaining ones were preparing to enter.
Rong Ling was leading his horse at the outskirts of the Hunting Ground, waiting for her. When he saw her appear, he led his people over.
Seeing Rong Ling, Feng Qing thought of her plan to fake her death today and inexplicably felt a bit nervous.
Afraid that Rong Ling might notice, she tried to remain calm, and Rong Ling did not notice anything unusual. Upon seeing her, he spoke in a gentle tone.
“I’ve personally selected a gentle young horse for you to try.”
Feng Qing looked up at the white steed not far away, led by the Prince Mansion guards. This steed was clearly a high-quality noble breed, without a single defect, entirely snow-white, with shiny fur as Rong Ling said, very gentle indeed.
Actually, Feng Qing knew how to ride a horse, but since her past self stayed in the Marquis Jing’an Mansion and did not ride horses, she naturally couldn’t say she knew. Now, Rong Ling wanted to personally teach her to ride and even selected the finest breed for her.
Feng Qing felt uneasy. This man was quite good to her now. If she were a typical woman, staying in Prince Yong Mansion wouldn’t be bad; with a lifesaving debt owed, Rong Ling wouldn’t treat her poorly. However, she had learned excellent medical skills in her previous life to save lives, not to be trapped in the household.
Moreover, if she stayed in Prince Yong Mansion, troubles would arise continuously; the upcoming conflicts in the Capital would not be few. She was the kind of person who hated trouble and did not enjoy such an atmosphere.
Enough, enough, she should leave. Without her, Rong Ling will soon find another main wife.
