“Cough…”
At that moment, Shien’s face stiffened and he had nothing to say.
For an otherworlder like Shien, the girl’s statement was unquestionably arrogant.
If it was in his previous life, it wouldn’t be strange for her to be taken as a weird show-off.

Leaving those words, Shien humbly lowered himself and then turned heels and ran.

The girl was stunned.
Obviously, the girl never anticipated that Shien would do something like that.
And by the time the girl managed to react again, Shien had already merged into the crowd, and not a shadow of him could be seen anymore.
The girl stared at the direction Shien disappeared in for a few seconds before breaking out in giggles.
That laughter rang out like a bell. It was a very charming sound.
Such a few should have enchanted all around her. It wouldn’t have been out of the question for some to become charmed or drunk off her presence.
However, the crowds around her acted as if no one had detected such a beauty among them and instead passed her by without any response.

“Milady.”
When the girl’s laughter finally dropped off, an emotionless, toneless voice spoke up.
At some point, someone had split off from the crowd and moved towards the girl.
If Shien was still around, he would definitely have been surprised.
Because, the person in question looked absolutely identical to the girl as if they were forged from the same mold. The two were like twin sisters. Be it height, build, hair or eye color. Everything was identical.
The only difference is that this new girl not only kept an emotionless voice, she did not show a hint of her feelings. In addition, she wasn’t wearing a dress, but a maid’s uniform.
If the girl before was a young lady out for a stroll, the maid would be a competent and reliable servant.

The girl looked at the maid bearing the same appearance as herself and showed a happy and loving smile.

The maid named Lasha replied in an indifferent tone. She had a bag in her arms, and from the delectable scent wafting from it, it should be filled with delicious foodstuff.

Lasha saw through her thoughts.
The girl – Leisha – didn’t seem to particularly mean to hide it either.
“Don’t mind it. I just saw an interesting adventurer. That’s all.” Leisha seemed to be still thinking about what had happened a moment ago. She spoke while keeping her joyful smile, “It wasn’t from fear or respect, nor was it because he knew my history. It was just because I didn’t give out my name, so he ran away as if he’s afraid of getting into something troublesome. It really is the first time I’ve seen someone like that.”
Hearing the response, Lasha didn’t ask any more questions.
Although she had no idea just what happened, but a situation where Leisha ended up doing something on a whim was something she was already used to.
After all, the lady that Lasha served, the lady who was like her twin sister, simply was just such a whimsical and flighty person.
This time as well, she must have done something because of a passing whim, right?

“It has been a long time since I’ve seen Milady so happy.”
Lasha spoke her thoughts honestly.
“That is true, now that you’ve said it.” Leisha unconsciously pulled back her smile and reminisced, “How long has it been since the last time I was able to laugh so happily?”
Leisha could no longer remember it clearly.
But Leisha didn’t continue down that path of thought. Rather, she quickly gave off an unburdened expression.

Leisha once more looked in the direction in which Shien left, and her eyes lightly flickered.
“That adventurer’s magic power was rather special though, and the package he was carrying seemed to also contain a familiar power. I wasn’t just imagining things was I?”
Leisha begun to consider.
Back when she started a conversation with Shien, that was a bigger reason than just because she was struck with a whim after hearing his words.
“My [Identity Obfuscation] didn’t seem to have any effect on him either. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have instantly noticed my existence even with me starting the conversation on my initiative, but he did clearly shifted his gaze to me right that moment.”
Leisha mumbled under her breath.

Perhaps she thought of something, but Leisha’s gaze started turning cold and dangerous.

Lasha, who had no what Leisha was thinking, awakened her from her thoughts.

Leisha recovered her smile and said so to Lasha.

“It looks like we’ll be be staying in this town for a while.”
