Chapter 739: Skinning Her Alive (Part 3)
Chapter 739: Chapter 739: Skinning Her Alive (Part 3)
Susan Caldwell’s plan for today was to completely shatter Vera Xavier’s composure. Even though a few students had witnessed the entire incident that day, after her recent maneuvering, she was certain none of them would dare to speak up.
So, she said slowly, "Don’t think you can hide what you did in the cafeteria just because not many people saw it! Today, I’m taking a stand for justice and exposing your vile actions!"
She took a step toward Vera Xavier. "That day, I saw with my own eyes how you followed that boy, knocked him unconscious, and then assaulted him. You did all sorts of indecent things, which triggered his heart attack. To cover up your crime, you pretended to know first aid and called an ambulance. You thought you had everything under control, but heaven has eyes, and I saw everything you did!"
Vera Xavier had to admire Susan Caldwell after hearing her speech. ’The story she’s spinning is practically watertight,’ she thought. ’Even if I refute it, she’s left herself some wiggle room.’
But Susan Caldwell had picked the wrong person to cross. She was doomed to fail today.
Vera Xavier said coolly, "Oh? So you’re saying you witnessed the entire incident?"
"Of course!" Susan Caldwell said, her voice filled with anguish. "I never imagined I would witness something like that. Vera, how can you be so vicious? How can your actions be so depraved?"
Her words immediately earned the support of the other girls. They all glared at Vera, as if she had committed some unforgivable sin.
Vera Xavier remained perfectly calm. She looked at Susan and asked, "Are you sure?"
"Absolutely certain!" Susan exclaimed.
Vera Xavier gave her a faint smile. "I’m sorry, but I have a different perspective on this accusation of yours..."
"Your ’perspective’ is just an excuse for your disgusting urges!" Susan cut her off. "I always thought you were a good student. Even after all the times you bullied and humiliated me, I kept making excuses for you, telling myself you weren’t that kind of person!"
"But it turns out I was completely wrong. You are exactly that kind of person! Now I’m going to tell everyone what you did. Someone like you doesn’t deserve to study at our school. I am advising you, as a matter of principle, to withdraw voluntarily. It will save you from complete humiliation!"
Crystal Quinn immediately chimed in, "Susan, you’re just too kind! Why bother being polite with someone like Vera? We should go straight to the administration and demand they expel her!"
"Yeah, expel her!"
Stirred into a frenzy, a few of the girls standing nearby reached out to shove Vera.
Vera looked at them and said, "Hey, let’s just talk. There’s no need to get physical. This is going a little too far!"
Crystal Quinn said coldly, "For someone like you, expulsion is getting off easy. You deserve to be beaten to death!"
Crystal Quinn knew about Susan’s family background. That was precisely why she was so devoted to her. Crystal came from a poor family but refused to accept her station in life, so she hoped to change her fate by latching onto Susan.
The moment the words left her mouth, Crystal actually swung her hand to slap Vera right across the face.
Vera sighed internally. ’I really wanted to handle this peacefully today,’ she thought. ’But if they won’t let me talk, then I guess I’ll have to stop them from talking, too!’
