Nathaniel Nathan beckoned to Vera Xavier. She glanced at him, bit her lip again, and then slowly walked over to his side. He stared into her eyes for a long moment but was stunned to see nothing out of the ordinary.
Her eyes were dark and bright, shimmering with a dazzling light as they moved.
Seeing him study her eyes so intently, Vera Xavier felt a little apprehensive.
She never expected him to ask, "You saw the color of my underwear, but did you see my size?"
Vera Xavier: "..."
’Young Master Nathan, isn’t that question a little too direct?’
Vera Xavier turned her head away, refusing to answer. At the same time, she wanted to slap herself. Of all the things to use as an analogy, why did she have to pick that? Pathetically, her face turned red again.

She was both ashamed and angry, filled with other emotions she couldn’t quite name. She was completely at a loss.

Nathaniel Nathan watched her with a half-smile, saying nothing. He just stared at her, his gaze as deep as an abyss. Something flickered within it, seeming capable of searing her heart.
Held and watched by him like this, Vera Xavier felt her heartbeat spin out of control. Any longer and she feared it would leap out of her chest. Mustering her courage, she threatened him, "If you don’t let go, I’ll..."
"You’ve already peeked at me so many times. What’s there to be shy about?" Nathaniel Nathan interrupted.
Vera Xavier: "..."
’Young Master Nathan, seeing and touching are two completely different things, okay? Besides, I never peeked! Of course, the times I accidentally saw don’t count!’
He reached out, wrapped an arm around her waist, and pulled her closer against him. She could feel the scorching heat of his body.
In a fluster, Vera Xavier snatched her hand back. But she used too much force, and her hand brushed against his most sensitive spot. He subconsciously sucked in a sharp breath. His arm tightened, pulling her fully into his embrace, and then his lips were on hers.
Vera Xavier wanted to cry but had no tears. ’We were just discussing such a serious topic, how did the mood change so drastically?!’
His kiss wasn’t deep. He gave her a light peck and pulled away, only to lean in and whisper in her ear, "Have you looked at any other men?"
Vera Xavier could already sense his overwhelming jealousy about to erupt, so she immediately swore to the heavens, "Absolutely not!"
In a slightly hoarse voice, Nathaniel Nathan asked by her ear, "When did you start peeking at me? Hmm?"
Vera Xavier felt she had no idea how to answer his question. She knew that given his rotten nature, he would find fault with any answer she gave. It was better to say nothing at all.
Nathaniel Nathan looked at her delicate little face, which was now flushed an adorable shade of red. She probably had no idea that, looking like this, she could make any man in the world willing to give her everything.
