"Okay, Sis, I’m coming." Zhao Nuanyang quickly washed up, changed into clean clothes, and ate at the table inside the kitchen.
The kitchen was very warm because of the stove.
"From now on, we’ll cook for ourselves," Zhao Nuanyue said softly. "We can catch fish right behind our house. I’m going to make some salted fish and fish balls to enrich our meals."
"Okay, Sis. From now on, I’ll be the one to wait in line at the shops," Zhao Nuanyang said with a smile that revealed his pearly white teeth. With his handsome features, he was simply stunning.
"Alright. From now on, I’ll manage the household, and I’ll leave the errands to Nuanyang," Zhao Nuanyue chuckled. Then the three siblings ate their meal together.
Just as they finished eating and were getting ready to leave, they walked into the front courtyard and saw Director Zhang coming in.

Yesterday, an elderly woman and a girl about your age came over, claiming this courtyard belongs to them. I told them not to spout nonsense."
Zhao Nuanyue listened and nodded. "Yes, that’s them. I saw them yesterday, too, but they didn’t see me. That’s why I moved in overnight last night. This way, there are no spare rooms in the house."

Watching Little Red Carp go into the school, Zhao Nuanyue finally got on her bike and rode to the hospital.
At the hospital, Hua Yusen’s stubble had grown in. Zhao Nuanyue began to shave him, chatting idly as if making small talk.
"Hua, do you remember Wang Lianhua and Zhao Huilan?" Zhao Nuanyue said softly. "They showed up yesterday. They know I’m in Jincheng City, so I guess they’re here to cause trouble for me."

At first, Zhao Nuanyue thought she had just bumped it by accident. But when it moved a second time, she was sure it wasn’t her. Hua Yusen had truly moved.
Zhao Nuanyue remembered Little Red Carp saying that Hua Yusen would wake up around this time—that it wouldn’t happen all at once, but that he would regain consciousness little by little.
"Hua, can you hear me?" Zhao Nuanyue asked. "If you can, can you move your fingers?"
Zhao Nuanyue worried she was seeing things. She desperately needed to confirm if Hua Yusen’s finger movement was conscious or just a spasm.
Zhao Nuanyue stared at Hua Yusen’s hand, and under her expectant gaze, his fingers twitched again.

Even though Little Red Carp had said Hua Yusen would wake up, Zhao Nuanyue had worried every single day he remained unconscious.

Hua Yusen’s hand moved once more. Only then did Zhao Nuanyue remember to shout, "Doctor! Get a doctor!"
The bodyguards on duty outside were startled by her shrill, panicked voice and feared the worst for Hua Yusen. One of them burst into the room while the other ran to get a doctor.
Doctor Wu was also startled when he saw Hua Yusen’s bodyguard running toward him. ’If something has happened to Hua Yusen, if he’s died,’ he thought, ’how will I ever explain it to Elder Gu?’
He immediately dropped what he was doing and jogged over, forgetting all about his other patients.
The bodyguard who had burst in was Hua Yusen’s confidant, Liu Jian. "Sister-in-law, how’s Sen?" he asked urgently.
"Liu Jian, look! Yu Sen’s hand can move!" Zhao Nuanyue said, directing Liu Jian’s gaze to Hua Yusen’s hand. "Yu Sen, move your hand."
Hearing Zhao Nuanyue’s words, Liu Jian was thrilled, his eyes fixed on the large hand.
Hua Yusen’s hand moved again.
"It moved! It moved!" Liu Jian was so excited he was nearly incoherent. "Sen, you’re finally waking up! I know you can hear me. All the brothers are waiting for you!"
Just then, Doctor Wu arrived.
When Doctor Wu heard that Hua Yusen’s hand could move—and that it was a conscious action—he immediately ran a test and confirmed it was true.
Doctor Wu was overjoyed and began to run a series of examinations on Hua Yusen. He discovered that not only could Hua Yusen move his hands, but his feet and even his eyes could move as well.
This string of good news made Doctor Wu even more elated.
Liu Jian stayed to guard Hua Yusen, while the other bodyguard, Wang Meng, immediately went to call their superior.
When Elder Gu, who was in a meeting, heard that Hua Yusen had regained consciousness, he too was ecstatic. He rushed over to see Hua Yusen the moment the meeting ended.
