Ji Tao, who had been split in two from the middle, tumbled away with a smile on his face. It was clear that he did not realize he had been killed by Wu Qi.

Wu Qi released Ao Buzun and the four dragon pythons. Five big mouths opened at the same time and tore Ji Tao into five bloody pieces before devouring them. As he possessed the cultivation base of peak Second Pangu Heaven, Ji Tao’s flesh contained an enormous amount of energy, which made him the best tonic for Ao Buzun and the others.

The Blood Centipede Sword shot out in a beam of blood-red light and sliced the glowing bone talisman into pieces. Then, Wu Qi flipped his palm and thrust it forward, causing the Kunwu Swords to roll up a great silver torrent which had Liu Bang’s flying ship confined within the formation’s heart. Fixing his eyes on the planet that was at the verge of total destruction, Wu Qi reached out both arms. The black scales covering his skin quickly retracted, and flesh began to grow back on his arm. Meanwhile, a great sheet of golden light gushed out from inside of him like molten gold. He gave a long cry and transformed into the golden body of buddha, with four faces and six arms.

A plume of white smoke rose from the top of his head, in the middle of which hovered a pure-white natal relic about the size of a water bucket, glowing with an immense light that illuminated the entire planet. While silently exercising the Great Light Indestructible Amitabha Treasure Scripture, he intoned the mantra of the Buddhist League, and gave a bellow that sounded like a sudden thunderclap, “Mortals! When are you going to wake up? Do you know what sins you have committed? A monstrous karma of killing and heinous crimes, these are the sins you have committed!”

Each of his words materialized into golden characters and suspended in space. All the mortals, regardless of where they were on the planet, could clearly see the gigantic golden characters. Wu Qi’s deafening bellow had gone straight into their heads and shaken their souls; all the filthy lusts that had contaminated them were forcefully driven out of them by him using the great divine power of the Buddhist League. Wisps of black smoke rushed out from the seven orifices of these mortals, and then vanished into nothingness amidst the white light that illuminated the planet.

Wu Qi went on with his bellow, “Before you gave birth to your karma of killing, had you ever thought about your parents, your children, your loved ones? The heaven and earth have given birth to you, but instead of working hard to grow your race to a great height, you have killed each other and committed a monstrous karma of killing! Your sins are unforgivable!”

With each word he bellowed, his avatar doubled in size; and after a while, he was standing tens of thousands of miles high. He was so huge that all the mortals on the planet could see him. His natal relic emanated an immense white light to cleanse the minds of the mortal beings, driving out the evil thoughts that plagued their hearts. It felt as if someone was forcefully carving out pieces of rotten flesh from their bodies: the mortals shrieked and screamed in pain, but the various evil thoughts in their hearts were soon completely wiped out by Wu Qi.

Afterward, he pointed a finger out, and a bloody fiend transformed into his appearance with the gesture. The atmospheric layer of the planet surged because of the fiend’s transformation, and gusts of strong wind rose across the land, wrapping around the thousands of Doomsday Thunder and throwing them into the heart of the sword formation. At his thought, these deadly weapons that were enough to destroy the planet a hundred times exploded. The furious roars and curses of Buddha Futu and the other Primordial experts could be vaguely heard coming out of the formation. Clearly, they had suffered severely from the explosion.

As all the Doomsday Thunders had disappeared, it meant that the impending death the billions of people on the planet were facing was now gone. The people, who were on the verge of collapse, all bowed down toward Wu Qi with awe and reverence. Among them, the devout followers of the Buddhist League entered a state of zealots. Almost as if they were burning their own souls, pure golden power of faith poured out of their bodies, quickly converging into a colossal golden stream that rushed into Wu Qi’s body.

The followers of the Dao League showed signs of hesitation, however. They were staring up at Wu Qi’s avatar of the Buddhist League, and although they had dropped to their knees, their faith for the Dao League had prevented them from bowing their heads.

Just then, another Blood-draining Celestial Fiend’s body flickered and emanated a bright light of pure Yang that filled the sky. Forcefully exercising the Innate Pure Yang Universal Scripture Wu Qi obtained from the Sovereign, three beams of red light diffusing pure Yang energy shot out from the top of the fiend’s head. In each of the beams sat cross-legged a vague figure that glowed dazzlingly, while the fiend itself radiated a boundless light that lit up the surroundings like the sun.

Billions of mortals, who had their minds violently shaken by Wu Qi’s divine power of the Buddhist League and their souls somewhat injured after having the evil thoughts in their minds forcefully stripped off, stared blankly at the Blood-draining Celestial Fiend who had transformed into the standard appearance of an immortal of the Dao League. Suddenly, the followers of the Dao League burst out in tears, and they began to chant the mind-calming scripture one after another while bowing down at the fiend with reverence.

The immortal light of pure Yang shone across the planet. The mortals with their souls injured felt warm streams circulating in their bodies, and those dazed by the mantra of Buddhist League soon recovered their spirits, with their souls growing stronger than ever.

The followers of the Dao League roared and cheered like the others, and a power of faith that was at least three times stronger than that of the Buddhist League followers gushed out of their bodies. It converged into another golden torrent that poured into the fiend, before being injected into Wu Qi’s body.

Two vast and pure streams of power of faith rushed into Wu Qi’s forehead, and his divine soul began to devour them. Without the need to digest, they fused with his divine soul as if they were part of him all along. In just ten minutes, his divine soul had grown a hundred times stronger. Now, in terms of the strength of divine soul, he had firmly stepped into the realm of the ninth-tier Primordial Immortal.

With his divine soul growing stronger, his intelligence was enhanced as well. Like a mainframe computer suddenly installed with countless additional processors, he saw a boost in his speed of understanding the Heavenly Dao. He just needed to go through those profound and unfathomable laws once with his divine soul, and he would be able to master and use them immediately.

Lord Buddha’s Great Light Indestructible Amitabha Treasure Scripture, Reverend Gale’s Song of Gale, Lady Divine Water’s Dark Yin Water Scripture, the Sovereign’s Innate Pure Yang Universal Scripture, the Blood Sea Grand Magic he obtained from Patriarch Yuan Hua, the True Body of Heaven and Earth Scripture, the Dragon Transformation Script, the Dragon Kill, the Primordial Dao of Divinity, the Primordial Divine Script, the Inferno Hell Fiend Scripture, and even the Fiendcelestial Battle the Heaven Script…all the cultivation techniques flowed through his heart like clear streams, without any obstacles and confusion.

At this very moment, the souls of billions of mortals fused into one with his divine soul. The insights, experiences, and knowledge they had gained from all their past incarnations were working for him. Each one of them was helping him to analyze and dissect the various Great Daos and find out the implications contained in these cultivation techniques, one by one and word by word.

The souls of billions of mortals were opened to him without reservation. He could clearly feel their emotions and know all their love, resentment, and anger. Exercising the Great Light Indestructible Amitabha Treasure Scripture, he cleaned their souls over and over again with his powerful divine will. Gradually, they began to develop a pure admiration for him, one that only the most filial children would have for their parents.

All these mortals’ hearts and minds were tied to him now, and they would do anything he asked of them, even if he asked them to commit suicide.

As the divine light of the relic continued to sprinkle down, these people became more and more fanatical in their worship of Wu Qi. Regardless of the Buddhist League or Dao League, they had become his absolute zealots, and their souls were in perfect harmony with his divine soul.

“Sādhu, may the force be with…” Wu Qi was so surprised by the bizarre change that he almost read the wrong script. Subconsciously, he opened up his interstitial world, from which, a plume of chaotic energy billowed out and swept up all the billions of mortals on this planet. Without facing any resistance, he had sent them into his interstitial world, turning them into his most devout believers.

Wu Qi could feel the enormous power of faith these believers were constantly devoting to him, and even more so the benefits brought to him by the enhancement of his intelligence because of their existence. He could not help but wonder how many believers did those seasoned Buddhas have in their Buddhist Kingdoms, as he knew each of them had multiple kingdoms. He was curious to know how much benefits had they received from so many believers!

Then, he suddenly understood why both the Buddhist League and Dao League wanted to keep humans in captivity.

It was not only the boosting in magic power brought by the power of faith they after, but because the souls of these devout believers were like external processors that could hasten their understanding of the Heavenly Dao by thousands of times.

Wu Qi’s perception of the Heavenly Dao was now ten thousand times better. For a principle that took an average peak Gold Immortal ten thousand years to understand, he only needed a year to completely master it. In other words, he could cultivate at a speed that was ten thousand times faster than the average peak Gold Immortals! The advantage and temptation were so great that it was no wonder the immortals and buddhas of the ancient time had constructed the mortal worlds and kept so many mortals even if the cost was massive.

“At the end of the day, all your schemes have benefited me!” Wu Qi laughed and waved his six arms that glowed with a strong golden light. The few energy veins on the planet broke through the rocks and soared into the sky, transforming into large flood dragons and plunging into his interstitial world.

As the mortal worlds were the venues where the immortals and buddhas kept the mortals, the planets in them did not have rich natural energy. The quality of these energy veins could only be described as inferior, not even as strong as the ones Wu Qi plundered from White Cloud Planet.

Just as Wu Qi was about to move some of the scenic mountains and rivers from the planet into his interstitial world as decoration, he heard a thunderclap, and saw plumes of purple mists rapidly rushing toward the top of his head. Then, an immortal tune was played out in the sky while countless wisps of golden energy rained down like fringes and injected into his body.

He shuddered, and was immediately immersed in a state that was too wonderful for words. Soon afterward, his body began to shiver, and a trace of light which seemed colorless but at the same time seemed to contain all the colors in the universe, gradually shone out from the depths of each of his cells.

His long hair danced as a gentle breeze swirled around him, and he fell asleep like a baby. Enveloped in the boundless virtues, Wu Qi curled up like a baby in its mother’s womb.

Tremendous changes were taking place in his divine soul and body, but they could not be seen from the outside. The only sign that showed he was going through a tremendous transformation was the dragon scales that kept breaking out across his skin.

Scales kept popping up and shattering, and in the end, what appeared were no longer black dragon scales, but purple-gold dragon scales that glowed faintly and looked as clean as jade. Wrapped in the translucent scales, Wu Qi now looked holy and solemn, and was emanating a threatening ancient aura.

Floating off to the side, Ao Buzun’s eyes grew wide in disbelief. A moment later, he sighed and shook his head.

“What a freak! I can’t believe he actually formed the body of the ancient divine dragon earlier than me… How am I going to lift my head in the future?”
