Chapter 1204: Void Grotto Lord

Chapter 1204: Void Grotto Lord

Feiyun returned to Void and saw it was rebuilt, albeit not back to its original state.

He met Jiutian Yanyu and explained why he didn’t come to their meeting before handing 300,000 dragon stones to Void Grotto Lord.

She was a beautiful cultivator. Ten thousand years of training left no marks on her face so she appeared to be twenty-six or so.

During her youth, many considered her the fairest among the human race. Many central lords courted her to no avail.

“Ninth Lord, I don’t think the three immemorial races will forgive you after this heavy ransom.” She spoke behind a curtain.

The sound of wind chimes wasn’t as pleasant as her voice.

Feiyun and Yanyu saw a wondrous figure behind the veil, seemingly more beautiful than any of the four fairies.

She was a goddess in the mist, seemingly unattainable and not existing in this time and space.

This is the lord of Void, a woman who had bewitched many emperors and supremes. Feiyun thought to himself and knew that it would be unwise to offend her.

The only reason he was granted an audience was due to his recent appointment as the ninth city lord.

“Thank you for worrying but I was prepared for trouble when I captured those three. Plus, even if I didn’t ask for spirit stones, the feud would still be there. Since I’ve offended them already, a bit more is just fine.” Feiyun said.

“Looks like you are confident in your cultivation.” She suddenly raised her jade hand and the atmosphere changed.

The stars above and the abysses below moved to her whim.

Feiyun saw pressures from both ends, pushing against him.

This is her cultivation? He couldn’t run away from her pressure.

He activated ten thousand beast souls, looking like a beast king as he raised the sky. His power erupted as he roared and contested.

Currently, the beast souls were only at the fifth level of Heaven’s Ascension. This still took all of the Buddhist essences along with his pills and spirit stones.

Taking them up to the pseudo-saint level would require an immense amount of wealth. Of course, the result would be worth it.

“You already have a saint law at the seventh level, well done.” She pressed her fingers downward, adding more strength.

A whole galaxy descended upon his head. She looked like a flawless goddess subduing the king of beasts.

“Rumble!” Feiyun couldn’t move a single step right now. Veins and muscles bulged outward - this was his limit. He thought he would need to use his dragon form to fight her.

The pressure suddenly disappeared and he found himself standing outside again. Nothing changed outside of him being covered in sweat and heaving for breath.

She pulled back her hand before his frightened eyes.

Her cultivation is a hundred times stronger than mine, I couldn’t escape at all. My draconization form would have been useless as well.

He realized that he had been too cocky - there were plenty of frightening characters below the saint realm.

Although he had reached the ninth level in his dreams, he had no idea how he got there. It has been too long and memories of the dreams eluded him.

“Senior, may I ask for your current realm? How many saint laws do you have?” Feiyun asked.

“What are saint laws?” She answered with a question.

He was surprised but still answered respectfully: “Saints created dao, elusive and inscrutable. They are not corporeal or spiritual and can only be learned with time and effort. After a certain level, they would manifest into physical forms known as saint laws within the cultivator’s body.”

“They come from the heart. When comprehension and realization are there, they will appear. Otherwise, one would never be able to find them. All things in the world have dao, saint dao are nothing more than laws in this world. You are a new pseudo-saint and can only learn others’ dao. Once you understand the dao of heaven, earth, and living beings, you will be able to take the next step.” She said.

“Thank you for your guidance.” He said, aware that she was a demi-saint capable of conjuring dao laws with a single thought.

Her cultivation and comprehension far exceeded the fourth city lord. No wonder why no man could win her heart.

“The conference is tomorrow and you will represent us on the rising star’s stage. Although you are strong, your opponents are equally capable. Prince Tyrant, Busi Butai, Phoenix Goddess, Thirteenth Prince of the dragons. This dragon prince is the strongest, already at the pseudo realm sixty years ago.”

“The beasts have a few young pseudo-saints as well, even some smaller races have managed to produce some. Since we attempt to reach the immemorial classification, they will work together to suppress us. Perhaps the proud dragons and phoenixes won’t bother, but the others certainly will.”

“Rest assured, Grotto Lord, I will lead our geniuses and reveal our strength.” Feiyun said with a sharp glare.

“No, it’s a victory if you can survive the conference. Go, prepare well.” She responded.

As Feiyun and Yanyu were leaving, her voice sounded in his ears: “The conference will take place in Spirit Immortal World.”

Feiyun stopped upon hearing this.
