Chapter 538 – Gu Jiangxin felt his neck going numb. (1)

It was a nice sunny day on the day of. It almost seemed like the brightest day of the entire month.

Gu Shishi’s mood too, was up and up.

Early that morning, she rolled around on her large and soft bed before she leaned over the crib and watched her cute and chubby son’s sleepy face.

She reached out, poked at him and caused him to start crying. She finally let out a deep, long breathe and felt a sense of realism.

It was not a dream.

And not fake.

Master, she really was about to have her solo exhibition!

Gu Shishi, who was so excited that she only wished she could start singing and dancing, was glared at by the child’s daddy who came running over from his son’s crying.

In just one second, she smiled with slight embarrassment. “All I did was touched his dimple lightly.”

This was probably not his real mother.

The corners of Huo Sishen’s lips twitched. “Go wash up. Aunty Lin had the stylist over. He’s waiting for you in the guest room.”

Yes, she must appear beautifully on this very memorable day.

Gu Shishi, distracted right away, hopped out of bed and pitter pattered into the bathroom.

After she was done washing up and applied her daily skincare, she ran her finger down her shelf-full of perfumes inside her dressing room and finally settled for a gentle “gender-neutral” ocean fragrant.

That along with her rose scent from the system.

It charming but not overly seductive. There was a hint of sweetness amidst the fresh smell and a hint of warmth amidst the coolness.

Such was the fragrant of an artist. Mmhmm.

Gu Shishi sniffed at the fragrance at her wrist and nodded in satisfaction. She then quickly pulled open the closet door and brushed through all the hangers from left to right.

As the host of the exhibition, she shouldn’t dress too extravagantly nor should she appear too be too delicate and soft.

She rubbed her chin and finally pulled out the best one of all, a black-laced, tight-fitting skirt with a split. On top of that was a lotus-colored silk shirt.

Beneath her neck, the top two silver square buttons on her shirt were left unbuttoned, perfectly displaying her diamond pendant that rested between her collar bones. The bottom of the shirt was tucked into the waist of the skirt.

That would make her legs appear longer. She looked both feminine and scholarly and very fitting for the occasion.

After she had changed, Gu Shishi happily went over to the guest room and greeted Ken, the stylist that Aunty Lin had hired.

Huo Sishen, too, changed into a full set of custom casual suit. He came over with their son in the same outfit in his arm to wait for her to get ready and leave together.

But––

“Ken, bright red color lipstick works better with this outfit but this color looks too old. Mix in some rotten tomato color to neutralize it some, would you?

“The eyeliner does not need to be too long. Yup, stop right there.

“No, I don’t need eyelash extensions……

“You need to be gentle when brushing the brows. Use orange color series for the blush. Hmm? No, I won’t be needing earrings. The baby will grab it. Plus, I have necklace on already. It’s too traditional to have matching jewelry set.

Huo Sishen lifted his brows. Even Aunty Lin, who was bringing juice over, was taken aback a little.

Sure enough, just 5 minutes later, Gu Shishi naturally “took” the eyebrow pencil over from Ken. “Dear, I got it. Everyone’s brows have different heights when they smile. That need to be adjusted.”

Ten minutes later, she had completed her entire set of makeup.

Aunty Lin, “……”

She didn’t need no stylist at all.

Gu Shishi expressed her respect anyway.

“Dear, your color collection is much more complete than mine. Happy to have you help me out again next time.”

Ken, “……”

What would he say to that?

Now that her style was done, Gu Shishi, along with her husband and son, got inside of the car that headed toward the exhibition.

Most artists are mensao by nature.

She didn’t feel that she was a hikkomori in the best but she did now. Soon as she got inside of the car, the tempo of her heart beat increased.

She was getting a little nervous!

Huo Sishen carried their son in one hand and held her hand in his other. He gently squeezed her hand that its fingers were starting to curl up from nervous.

Gu Shishi took a deep breath.
