For once, his voice wasn’t as terrifying as it was in the past.

He had been having three meals a day on a regular basis and his sleep quality… had also improved some.
He truly had forgotten about his physical.
And had Siyi scheduled another meeting.
“I am not going today.”
Huo Sishen shut his lips tightly and on his handsome face was the look of you-can-go-now.
Qin Ruhai facepalmed himself wordlessly and asked, “What about tomorrow?”
Huo Sishen narrowed his cold eyes a bit and said, “My arrangements were set a month in advance.”
“Shoot! Are you saying that you are blowing me off?!”
Qin Ruhai really wanted to jump up and beat up Huo Sishen.
Siyi, standing to one side, was also breaking out in sweat.
The boss’s schedule was non-existing now that he was dating.
What arrangements were there to speak of?
Qin Ruhai plopped down on the couch. “Give me a time or I am not leaving! I will have dinner here!”

She put down the tray in her hand in the side dining room, dried her hands, and walked out.
“Dr. Qin is staying for dinner?
“Perfect. I’ve made a bit extra. I’m sure there will be enough.”
Gu Shishi gave a I-am-prepared smile.
Truth was, Qin Ruhai was already here when she got back.
So she made a bit extra.

Gu Shishi looked over at Boss Huo eagerly, seeking for his approval.
The cold air radiating from Huo Sishen paused for a second.
Looking at the girl’s limpid eyes, a thought crossed his mind.
She could use some sort of normal socializing.
Behind Qin Ruhai was the Qin’s, a family specialized in medical equipment and systems. Rumor had it that they came from a line of imperial doctors.
Albeit the fact that their wealth could not rival that of the Huo’s or the Chen’s, but the family had been around for a long time and also considered as prominent.
Qin Ruhai just meet the bare minimum to be on the list of those she can socialize with.
He has a couple of sisters and both of them were educated enough.
Huo Sishen pursed his lips.

He turned around and went upstairs.
Qin Ruhai waited downstairs until the door to the study closed.
And he was still a bit dumbfounded.
“…. Exactly what did he mean by ‘Mmm’?”
He looked over at Siyi.
Siyi assumed the role as a translating machine. “The boss invited you to stay for dinner.”
Qin Ruhai, “WHAT??? Has he gone mad?!”
Didn’t he hate nothing more than dining with someone else at the same table??!
They have been buddies for years and they had never dined together again since the accident.
Never mind about staying for dinner over at his place.
“Doctor Qin. Why don’t you go wash your hands and then join us in the dining room?” said Gu Shishi with a smile as she waved at him.
A friend of the boss was a friend of hers.
Besides, she would be able to learn about the boss’s health and figured out what would he die of in two years’ time.
Qin Ruhai walked over, dumbfounded. He was in a trance the entire time all the way until he was sitting in front of the dining table.
“Little sister Gu, are you sure he meant to have me stay for dinner?
“Will he be coming back down?
“Is he going to be eating upstairs and the rest of us downstairs?”
“I think he will be coming back down.”
Gu Shishi rubbed her nose.
They have been dining together every night since the candlelight dinner night unless he had to work late.
Qin Ruhai had a look of disbelief on him.
In less than ten minutes time, he was faceslapped.
Huo Sishen took a superfast battle shower. He even changed into a soft light grey shirt and sat down next to Qin Ruhai.
