Sorry, Our Captain Is a True All-Rounder

Chapter 202: Ni Sang Dies

‘That’s actually a bit tricky. And my tough Spirit Shield was pierced in an instant.’

‘It seems I underestimated her.’

Lin Jingjing retracted her gaze and scanned the area, but there was no sign of Ni Sang.

‘Don’t tell me that woman is hiding again.’

‘Her claws are so deadly. What if she suddenly pops out and stabs me again?’

After a moment’s thought, Lin Jingjing used her Spiritual Protection Shield ability to layer two more shields over herself.

Now she had three shields.

Lin Jingjing refused to believe that woman could break through all three of her shields.

Just as she finished layering the shields, Ni Sang charged out of the shadows again, her sharp claws aimed straight for Lin Jingjing’s eyes.

Staring at the hideously pale, gray hand and its long nails, Lin Jingjing stood on her Hoverboard with no intention of dodging.

She faced Ni Sang’s attack head-on. Two of the three shields were pierced, and Ni Sang’s long nails got stuck in the third.

Lin Jingjing’s eyes were a mere five centimeters from the sharp, black nails.

‘Three layers are still too flimsy. She almost broke through all of them.’

But it also showed Lin Jingjing the limits of her opponent’s power.

“So you can only break through two and a half layers,” Lin Jingjing said with a smile, looking at Ni Sang before her.

As she spoke, she raised a hand. The Magic Image behind her and the surrounding iron walls, all enveloped in her spiritual power, stirred to life.

Countless iron walls flew toward Ni Sang, and the massive hand of the Magic Image reached out to grab her.

Ni Sang tried to dodge, but her nails were stuck in the Spiritual Protection Shield, and she couldn’t pull them out.

Lin Jingjing had tightened the Shield, trapping her.

Trapped in place, Ni Sang was unable to escape and was snatched up by Lin Jingjing’s construct.

Ni Sang panicked visibly upon being caught. She struggled with all her might, but no matter how hard she thrashed, she couldn’t break free.

Ni Sang glared viciously at Lin Jingjing, as if wanting to tear her limb from limb.

“Why so hostile?” Lin Jingjing said with a smile.

Then, her expression changed in a flash, becoming cold and indifferent.

“What about the black hole?” Lin Jingjing asked, her eyes fixed on Ni Sang, a vicious glint in them.

The grip of the hand holding her grew tighter and tighter. Ni Sang struggled, her own hands beating uselessly against the Magic Image.

But in response to Lin Jingjing’s question, Ni Sang just sneered. “You want to know?”

“I’m not telling you.”

“Are you sure you won’t tell me?” Lin Jingjing pressed.

As Lin Jingjing spoke, the force of the grip slowly increased. The pain caused Ni Sang to let out a piercing shriek.

But her body had been altered by drugs; no matter how much it hurt, she could recover quickly. Yet, recovery was immediately followed by the agony of being crushed again, of her ribs and bones shattering.

After a few cycles of this torment, Ni Sang’s earlier defiance vanished.

She gasped for breath, her voice incredibly weak.

“I’ll talk.”

Hearing this, Lin Jingjing gave a slight nod. She lessened her grip a little and said, “Then speak.”

“How do we stop it?”

Ni Sang said in a weak voice, “Just destroy its Energy Core, and it will stop.”

“Of course, you could also wait for it to run out of energy on its own.”

‘Wait for it to run out? How long would that take?’

“How long would that take?” Lin Jingjing asked.

“About two days,” Ni Sang replied.

‘In two days, those monsters will have killed everyone here.’

“I see,” Lin Jingjing nodded.

Seeing her nod, Ni Sang quickly said, “Now let me go.”

Hearing this, Lin Jingjing laughed. “Who said I was going to let you go?”

Ni Sang’s eyes widened in shock. She couldn’t believe this woman was going back on her word!

“You liar! You dared to trick me!” Ni Sang struggled frantically, her already ugly face twisting into an even more grotesque mask of fury.

She thrashed wildly, beating against Lin Jingjing’s Magic Image, her pale gray eyes turning red with rage.

‘This woman, she has no honor!’

“Let me go!”

“You bitch! Let me go right now, or you’ll be sorry!”

Ni Sang screamed and yelled, clearly furious.

Lin Jingjing watched her, her lovely brows furrowing slightly. “So noisy,” she said.

With that, the hand clenched, and Ni Sang was instantly crushed.

Ni Sang’s head fell from the sky, her face frozen in an expression of terror and fear.

But before it even hit the ground, it was impaled on a protruding steel rebar.

She died with her eyes wide open.

After dealing with Ni Sang, Lin Jingjing relayed the information to the four from Other Star.

Lin Jingjing rode her Hoverboard toward the black hole, which was continuously spewing out monsters.

A bright white light shone from the center of the black hole. ‘That must be the Energy Core the woman mentioned.’

The closer she got to the black hole, the more numerous the monsters became. But Lin Jingjing simply raised her hand and swatted them away as if they were nothing more than mosquitoes.

Her mind raced, trying to figure out how to destroy the Energy Core.

She thought for a long time but couldn’t come up with a good plan.

‘In that case, I’ll just have to try something else.’

She pulled an Energy Cannon from her Space Ring, hoisted it onto her shoulder, and fired directly at the distant Energy Core.

The blast from the Energy Cannon had no effect on the core; it only killed a few monsters.

‘If that didn’t work…’ Lin Jingjing thought for a moment. ‘I’ll have to use my spiritual power.’

‘My spiritual power is as vast as an ocean. It would be a waste not to use it.’

Lin Jingjing focused on the shimmering white Energy Core, concentrating and unleashing the full might of her spiritual power toward it.

The moment her spiritual power collided with the Energy Core, an immense shockwave erupted.

It blasted everything away. Monsters and Mecha pilots alike were slammed against the walls.

Yet Lin Jingjing stood her ground, perfectly steady. Her face showed not a trace of fear, only absolute determination.

Lin Jingjing continued to pour her spiritual power into the Energy Core. As the output increased, a powerful aura of pressure began to radiate from her.

The pressure alone was enough to kill the surrounding monsters instantly.

Beisang witnessed this and immediately realized the gravity of the situation.

‘Right now, it’s only affecting the monsters. If it spreads, we’ll be caught in it too.’

Beisang hastily opened the comms channel and yelled, “All units, emergency retreat!”

“Retreat!”

Hearing the order, the soldiers began to pull back at once. They moved quickly, retreating to a safe distance within ten minutes.

They stood their ground, watching Lin Jingjing in the air, their eyes filled with worship.

“Captain Lin is just on another level,” someone said with envy. “I wonder if I’ll ever be that powerful.”
