Chapter 2293: An Incredible Battle
"In the second round, all interstellar heavy artillery ships will unleash saturation firepower."
"Unless the gun barrel overload alarm sounds, keep firing!" Marshal Chu Xuan ordered.
One after another, interstellar heavy artillery ships proclaimed what it meant to have beams of light filling the entire screen.
The people on this side of the broadcast saw the once pitch-black night sky suddenly brighten up!
Tens of thousands of beams of light flew toward the Zerg fleet opposite them, reigniting the flames that had just been extinguished.
Round after round.
Even though its power was not as great as the previous interstellar missiles, it cleared out a large area after a prolonged attack.
Why not use a tiered attack strategy?
"After firing like this, will our firepower be insufficient during the waiting period?" a military enthusiast asked doubtfully.
"The tiered firepower coverage does make sense."
But you also have to consider the actual situation.
Look at the current situation with all the interstellar heavy artillery ships saturating with firepower.
The Zerg fleet on the other side was barely suppressed.
"If we divide this firepower into three parts, can we still achieve the same effect?" said an elderly man who looked like a veteran.
"What do we do next?" someone couldn't help but worry again.
"We'll just have to take it one step at a time," the veteran said.
The interstellar heavy gunship's saturation fire, which lasted for more than ten minutes, ceased.
A large area was cleared in the front-line zone of the Zerg fleet.
However, the Zerg fleet continued to sweep in once again.
The area that had been cleared earlier was filled back in less than ten minutes by a massive Zerg fleet.
"The interstellar heavy gunships are withdrawn to cool down the gun barrels and weapon systems, awaiting further combat orders."
The interstellar drone swarm takes off, and all other interstellar warships prepare for battle.
Once enemy units enter the firing range, fire freely!
Hold this line of defense, and behind us lies the homeland of our Xiaolong civilization!
"If this galaxy falls, then the next galaxy might be your home!" Marshal Chu Xuan roared.
The 100,000 Xiaolong-class interstellar warships present stood ready, prepared for the most brutal battle to come.
Zhao Chen, the Dragon Emperor, was currently behind the battle lines, watching the live broadcast of the battlefield.
He crossed his hands under his chin, his expression serious.
He had experienced many battles against the Zerg, and he knew very well how brutal those battles were.
If it weren't for the formidable firepower of his JF-17 fleet, they would have paid a heavy price.
In battles against Zerg fleets, it often comes down to which side gives out first.
This is like the firepower network of the JF-17 fleet being a dam, and the Zerg fleet being the floodwaters blocked by the dam.
As long as the floodwaters do not overflow the dam, they will not cause too much damage to the dam.
But once the floodwaters overflow the dam, they can destroy it.
The entire dam would be destroyed in an instant.
The same situation applies to the more than 100,000 JF-17 interstellar warships in front of us.
As long as we can withstand the pressure, the losses won't be too severe.
But if they can't hold out, the result will be that these more than 100,000 interstellar warships could be wiped out by the Zerg fleet in just a few hours of fighting.
Zhao Chen had seen similar battlefield scenes in many battlefield documents.
This is the first battle in this Zerg crisis.
This involves a lot.
Not only were the people of the Xiaolong civilization watching, as it concerned the life and death of three star systems, but even the remaining six Xiaolong star systems were watching.
If you lose this time, or if you win badly.
People in other galaxies would then feel anxious and think that they might not have a future either.
Under this mindset.
This will cause significant problems in both life and work.
If a group of people have to worry about whether they will live tomorrow, do you think they can still work efficiently?
The answer is obvious.
Another issue is the morale within the Xiaolong civilization fleet.
Currently, over 99% of the personnel in the JF-17 Thunder fleet are recruited indigenous crew members.
Although they had received training, and many had even experienced one or two real-world scenarios.
However, their fighting spirit was far inferior to that of the original crew members of the JF-17 Thunder, especially in terms of morale.
When fighting against the Zerg fleet, morale is even more important.
It will directly affect many things.
Therefore, the more than 100,000 interstellar warships that Zhao Chen deployed in this first battle, seemingly randomly, were actually the elite of the elite within the entire Xiaolong Legion fleet.
This was so that other JF-17 fleets could see it.
Look, those overwhelming Zerg fleets are not invincible.
This would boost the morale of those fleets.
If this battle is lost, the consequences will be like a domino effect, affecting the entire Xiaolong civilization system.
Zhao Chen stared at the situation on the interstellar battlefield.
He's waiting for an answer!
The interstellar drone swarm has already charged into the enemy Zerg fleet.
All kinds of weapons were used.
After all the missiles and explosives were used up, the swarm of interstellar drones prepared to retreat, return to the mothership for resupply, and prepare for the next attack.
If it finds that it cannot return to base, it will initiate a suicide attack program, using its own machine as the last shell to attack the enemy Zerg fleet!
"Report.
Our interstellar stealth reconnaissance ships have completed scanning the total number of Zerg in this wave.
"We have already destroyed more than 30% of the Zerg combat units in this wave of Zerg, and there are still 70% left!" Secretary Barbara reported a crucial piece of information.
Seventy percent remain!
Although 70% is still a huge amount.
But at least it shows that these Zerg fleets are not endless.
"There's hope!" Zhao Chen said with a hint of expectation.
He was waiting for his Grand Marshal to report the great victory.
On the front lines, various interstellar warships have already opened fire.
The starships and starcruisers, due to their long-range firepower, were the first to fire.
Prioritize eliminating those Zerg motherships.
Meanwhile, the Zerg motherships were also trying to retaliate, firing beams of Zerg plasma cannons.
The interstellar frigates, which had been on high alert, activated their star shield matrices and intercepted the attacks!
“Every area is under strict lockdown for me.”
This is the 12-yard defense zone.
"Defend every inch!" Marshal Chu Xuan stared at the interstellar war sand table in front of him.
On the interstellar war sandbox, outside the defensive line.
You can see twelve dividing lines.
This is the twelve-yard defensive line defined by Marshal Chu Xuan.
The requirement is to defend every yard with all our might.
If an area has been invaded too much by the enemy, then we must launch a counterattack!
With such lines drawn, it's immediately clear where the problem lies.
Marshal Chu Xuan did not forbid these areas from falling, but rather that the loss should be of value, not worthless.
Time passed little by little.
In the eyes of the public, they are the Falcon Dragon interstellar warships that are still holding the line on the front lines.
The officers aboard those interstellar warships were giving their all; this was a battlefield for which they were willing to pay the ultimate price.
In the rear.
Emperor Zhao Chen of the Dragon Clan remained stationed here, and even when advised against it, he did not choose to retreat.
Because this battle is of paramount importance.
We must win!
"Report.
The Zerg fleet opposite them still had 30% of its original strength remaining.
In some areas of our 12-yard defense, only the last three yards remain.
"Some Zerg combat units have even broken through our defenses and gotten close to our starships!" the adjutant reported anxiously to Marshal Chu Xuan.
"There is still 30% left."
Send the order to all starships.
From this moment forward, all planned evacuation operations are cancelled.
I'm going to wipe out all these bugs right here.
I want victory, and I want a great victory!
"If that fleet loses face, I'll settle the score with them!" Marshal Chu Xuan said resolutely.
"yes!"
When this order was passed on.
Commanders and soldiers at all levels felt the hope of victory, but also knew that the final hand-to-hand combat had arrived.
Many interstellar warships have exhausted their interstellar missiles.
The Star Shield Matrix of the Star Guardian also began to show vulnerabilities, making it impossible to maintain full defense.
One by one, the starfighters that had been prepared beforehand took off from those aircraft carriers and starships.
Listen up, everyone.
The reason we deployed the interstellar drones was because we were worried about potential casualties among you.
But now these bugs are flying right above our starship.
They're going to attack our starships right under our noses.
Ever since the day our JF-17 fleet acquired an aircraft carrier starship.
In terms of interstellar air superiority, no one dares to challenge our JF-17 Thunder fighter jet fleet.
"Get rid of all these bedbugs!"
"yes!"
The various models of JF-17 interstellar fighters took off one after another.
Right on their own turf, they destroyed all the insects that had stormed into the battle lines.
Some insects even clung to the hull armor of the interstellar warship, looking down at the armor with their corrosive fluid and tearing at it with their mouthparts.
Starfighters and star mechs provided fire support.
Meanwhile, inside these interstellar warships...
Squads of fully armed interstellar marines held their weapons and aimed them at the ceiling above their heads.
They have received the message.
Right here, bugs are trying to crawl in.
Once the insects get in, they will be the last line of defense for this starship.
If the bugs are allowed to wreak havoc inside the starship, the consequences are predictable!
They will not allow this to happen unless they all die here!

"This is Xiaolong News."
At midnight today, the border defense line of the Ninth Galaxy of the Xiaolong was attacked by the Cataclysmic Zerg.
Under the tenacious fighting of our JF-17 fleet.
It lasted three hours and thirty-five minutes.
Eliminate all Zerg from this wave.
This was a very brief news report, with little coverage or sensationalism surrounding the event.
As a result, many people who were expecting news reports had to search for related galaxies online themselves.
Let them say it.
A news report like this deserves an exclusive interview.
It's definitely going to be a bestseller.
However, Xiaolong News only spent a dozen seconds broadcasting this news.
The restaurant closed down almost as soon as everyone who was planning to have a big meal smelled the aroma.
However, thanks to the efforts of various people in the community, the relevant reports were quickly presented to everyone.
The main concerns are whether there were any casualties in this battle.
Whether there were any losses, etc.
The results they found surprised many people, and some even went back to investigate several times.
The first thing is the sacrifice aspect.
Because all the casualties of the Xiaolong Civilization Fleet are publicized on a dedicated website after the statistics are compiled, and their families are notified as soon as possible.
Everyone knows the whole process.
The JF-17 fleet has never concealed anything in this regard.
In this battle, not a single one of the more than 100,000 JF-17 Dragon interstellar warships was directly destroyed.
Only seven different types of interstellar warships were temporarily returned to the dock for major repairs because their hulls were severely damaged by the Zerg, affecting subsequent operations.
In addition, there are other normal problems that occur to varying degrees on interstellar warships, such as overheating of gun barrels and overload of firing units.
As for casualties, since no interstellar warships were destroyed...
Therefore, the number of casualties would naturally not be too high.
But when they themselves discovered these figures, they still couldn't believe it.
A total of 139 people were killed.
Forty-seven of them were Space Marines.
Thirty-two of them were pilots of starfighter mechs, and the rest were all pilots of starfighters.
There were no reports of crew members being killed in other positions.
This aligns with the general perception of these three positions with high casualty rates.
However, 139 people died. In the past, a single gang fight with weapons would have resulted in more deaths.
This led some skeptics to continue their investigation.
They actually uncovered some of these findings.
Apart from those who died.
There were also some people with minor to serious injuries.
The total number is around six hundred.
As for why this number is around 100?
Because some injuries are difficult to assess, let's say you tripped and fell while walking in a hurry during combat. Would that count as an injury?
Also, if a starship is hit during combat and you hit your head due to the turbulence, does that count as an injury?
It's hard to say for sure.
Therefore, the Xiaolong Civilization only obtained data on more than 600 people.
This caused an uproar online.
Some people now understand why the official Xiaolong Civilization did not provide in-depth coverage of this battle.
How can this be reported?
If they were to present this data...
Would ordinary people believe that?
I estimate that many people will immediately come forward to say that this data is fabricated and definitely contains inaccuracies.
It's because they anticipated that something like this would happen.
Since you don't believe what we've released, then let's let you investigate the various combat data in this war yourselves.
When you find out the truth yourself, you can't just say that the data is fake, can you?
