Chapter 414: Chapter 414: Don’t You Have a Clue?
"Are you a Feng Shui Master?" Su Qing’s voice was even, her gaze fixed on the man’s eyes.
Hearing her question, the man assumed Su Qing had come seeking him out for his reputation. He immediately said with a smug look, "That’s right. I am a Feng Shui Master. How did you find this place? Why didn’t you call to make an appointment? You should know, this behavior is very rude. I don’t like it at all."
As he spoke, the man sized up Su Qing, a dazzled look in his eyes. He hadn’t expected the girl who had suddenly barged in to be so beautiful. Since she was already here, there was no way he was going to let her get away.
The man was already imagining what he would do to Su Qing after he subdued her. In his eyes, a little slip of a girl like her was no threat at all. He could overpower her even without resorting to his special methods.
"Heh!" Su Qing sneered. "You’re certainly pleased with yourself. And another thing—move your eyes. Keep staring at me like that, and I’ll make you regret it."
In a one-on-one confrontation, Su Qing wasn’t the least bit afraid. The room was filled with green plants, which meant this was her Domain. Even against a Feng Shui Master with tricks up his sleeve, there was nothing he could do to her.
"What?!" The man found Su Qing’s words simply unbelievable. ’Everyone in Xiangcheng knows what a Feng Shui Master represents. Who would dare provoke one? Do they have a death wish?’
Yet this young woman standing before him actually dared to speak to him that way!
The man had no idea that Su Qing wasn’t from Xiangcheng. She spoke the local dialect so authentically that anyone who didn’t know her would assume she was a native.
"Little girl, do you have any idea who you’re talking to?" Despite being captivated by her beauty, the man would not allow himself to be treated this way. His tone hardened. "You’re young. You should watch your mouth, or you might find yourself in trouble."
With that, the man started walking toward Su Qing, intending to teach her a lesson. His gaze unconsciously lingered on her chest, and a lecherous glint flashed in his eyes.
Seeing his lewd gesture, anger flared within Su Qing. With a wave of her hand, the leaves of a potted Freesia in the corner of the room suddenly shot out of the pot and flew straight at the man. The leaves swirled around him, their tips as sharp as razors, slicing numerous gashes in his clothes. Their sharp edges even cut his skin, drawing blood.
"AARGH—" It all happened too fast for the man to react. The stinging pain from the cuts on his skin finally snapped him to his senses. He stared at Su Qing, shocked, bewildered, and terrified. ’There are people in this world with this kind of power?’
The man tried to fight back, but in the next instant, a vine shot out and bound him tightly. Losing his balance, he crashed to the floor with a THUD.
The pain from his wounds and the fall was nothing compared to the shock that seized him. "You... Who the hell are you?"
"The one who’s here to deal with you, of course," Su Qing said, looking down at the man coldly.
"You barge in here so brazenly—aren’t you afraid the police will come after you? If you dare to hurt me, it won’t end well for you either."
The man was now bound so tightly he couldn’t move. Even if he had a thousand tricks up his sleeve, he couldn’t use a single one. His only recourse was to threaten Su Qing with the police.
Su Qing sneered. "Even if I killed you right here, today, do you think anyone would find out? You’re the one who chose this location. Don’t you know what that means?"
Hearing this, the man’s heart sank. He was well aware of the things he’d done—none of them were exactly virtuous. He had specifically chosen this village for its seclusion. Most of the young people had moved away, leaving only a few elderly residents who rarely ventured outdoors. To top it off, he had deliberately picked a house with no neighbors for the sake of privacy. It was safe to say that even if he screamed his lungs out right now, no one would hear him.
For the first time, the man regretted his choice of residence. If he were in a more crowded area, a single shout would bring people running. This woman before him wouldn’t be acting so brazenly then.
But panic was already consuming him. ’What kind of power is this? How can it be so bizarre? She can actually control plants!’
’Even the most powerful Feng Shui Masters don’t have this ability.’
’Where did I manage to provoke a monster like her?’
"Miss, I was wrong! Please, let me go!" Having understood his predicament, the man no longer dared to defy Su Qing. He immediately began to beg for mercy. "I don’t know how I offended you, but please, be the bigger person and don’t stoop to my level. I swear I’ll never cross you again, how about it?"
Su Qing pulled over a chair and sat down. Looking down at the man on the floor, she asked, "What’s your family name?"
"My family name is He. I’m He Awei," the man replied hastily.
’His name is He!’
’So he’s not one of the three famous Feng Shui Masters.’ Su Qing thought. ’But that makes sense. Xiangcheng is famous for those three, but there are probably others who are less well-known.’
"Do you know why I came looking for you today?" Su Qing asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I don’t know," He Awei said, his face a mask of misery. He was completely in the dark as to how he had provoked this monster. "Please, Miss, just give me a hint. Did I offend you somehow by accident? Let me apologize first. Please, just spare me."
He Awei was trembling, with a growing feeling that this day would end badly for him. He had no way to call for help and could only pray that Su Qing would let him off the hook this one time.
"Tell me what you’ve done," Su Qing’s voice was light, but to He Awei’s ears, each word was like a hammer blow to his heart.
"I... I... I haven’t done anything," He Awei stammered, attempting a last-ditch denial.
Hearing this, Su Qing gave a cold smile. "Do you think I came looking for you for no reason?"
"Ah, no, of course not." The timing clicked in He Awei’s mind: Fan Yuqian had just left, and then Su Qing arrived. He guessed the problem must have something to do with Fan Yuqian. A wave of anger toward her washed over him; it was definitely her fault he’d run into this demoness.
"I... I gave a woman a packet of powder. It’s a powder that can control a person’s mind." He Awei glanced at Su Qing and added in a low voice, "You... you probably saw her. The woman who just left right before you arrived."
"Go on," Su Qing’s voice remained cold. "What else?"
"Huh?" He Awei looked at Su Qing in surprise. "You... You’re not here because of that?"
Su Qing raised an eyebrow. "Who told you I was?"
