Chapter 351: Moving Out

Chapter 351: Chapter 351: Moving Out

Li Wan said, "Oh, about the compensation—we’ll probably have to wait a couple of days. The amount we’re demanding isn’t small. Plus, that student hurt someone, so the school has already notified her parents. We have to wait for them to get here in a couple of days before we can continue the discussion."

Su Qing nodded. "That’s perfect. My cousin will be out of the hospital in two days, so we can confront them face-to-face then."

"Exactly," Li Huan chimed in. "I’m definitely not letting this go. We just exchanged a few words, and she attacks someone? And so viciously, too. If she isn’t taught a lesson, she’ll go on thinking the whole world revolves around her, like her parents do."

"And you’re still talking," Shang Yuqi said, her heart aching for her daughter’s severe injuries. Even if they would heal, the suffering was immense. "You didn’t even know what kind of person she was before picking a fight with her. You need to stay far away from people who turn violent over a single disagreement. Just look at yourself, covered in injuries. Are you trying to worry me to death?"

Li Huan knew she had worried her family, so she quickly said, "I’ll definitely stay far away from her from now on."

Then she added, "Mom, you have no idea how unreasonable that Song Yufang is. She starts trouble for no reason at all. Last night, none of us did anything to provoke her, but she started cursing and slamming things around. Naturally, I couldn’t just let it slide, so we started arguing. Who knew she was a complete lunatic?"

Li Wan stepped in. "Sigh, that’s true. Normally, when you have a disagreement, you might argue and then just ignore each other at worst. This Classmate Song went way too far. It’s not just Huanhuan; what adult could have possibly predicted that? Look, she’s still hurt, so let’s not scold her."

"Exactly, Mom. I’m still a patient," Li Huan said, giving Shang Yuqi a pitiful look.

"Oh, you..." Shang Yuqi was helpless against her daughter. She just gave her a gentle, pretend-scolding poke and didn’t say any more.

Li Huan stayed in the hospital for two days. Seeing no signs of infection or worsening, the doctor approved her discharge, prescribed medication, and instructed her to apply the ointment on schedule and return for regular check-ups.

"Whew, I’m finally out. That hospital smell is just awful." The moment they stepped outside, Li Huan took a deep breath and spoke to Su Qing with a cheerful laugh.

The pain was completely gone now, and she knew it was all thanks to the medicinal powder Su Qing had applied for her. "Qingqing, I’m so lucky to have you."

Su Qing smiled. "Let’s head back to the school first. There’s bound to be some bickering over the next couple of days. You just focus on playing the part of the patient."

"Okay." Li Huan nodded. The blisters on her scalded skin were still visible—that was an undeniable fact.

When they got back to their dorm room, Su Qing and Li Huan were met with a warm welcome from their roommates. They had managed to visit Li Huan at the hospital over the past couple of days, and they were thrilled to see her back and discharged today.

"Li Huan, what did the doctor say about your injury? Is it serious?" Liu Juan asked anxiously.

"The doctor said I need to take good care of it, avoid getting it wet, apply the ointment on schedule, and come back for regular check-ups," Li Huan explained. She didn’t mention anything about whether it would leave a scar.

"You’ll have to be really careful then," Sun Xiaowen chimed in. "Be extra cautious for the next few days. If you need anything, just tell us. We’ll help you."

"Thanks." Li Huan then turned to Ye Qingqing. "Qingqing, how’s your injury? Is it better? And thank you so much for what you did that day."

Ye Qingqing smiled. "Don’t worry, my injury is nothing serious. Look, I’ve been putting medicine on it for a few days, and it’s already much better."

As she spoke, Ye Qingqing showed Li Huan the burn on her arm. Sure enough, it was much less severe. Ye Qingqing’s injury had been milder than Li Huan’s to begin with—it hadn’t even blistered—so it was naturally healing faster. It didn’t look like it would leave a scar.

"That’s good," Li Huan said with a smile. "Once I’m a bit better, I’ll treat you all to a meal. Order whatever you want."

Chen Meizhen laughed. "Your family already sent us so many thank-you gifts. You don’t need to spend any more money on us."

"That’s right," Ye Qingqing quickly agreed, nodding. The Li family had sent gifts to everyone in the dorm, and hers had been particularly generous. They already felt a little awkward accepting so much; how could they possibly let Li Huan treat them on top of that?

"What my family gave is from them. I haven’t had a chance to thank you myself yet. Those are two different things," Li Huan said with a grin. "Don’t even try to refuse. It’s settled."

Su Qing, who was standing by, also laughed. "Just say yes. Don’t worry, you definitely can’t eat her out of house and home."

Her words made everyone in the dorm room laugh.

Su Qing glanced over at Song Yufang’s bunk, which was now empty. "Has Song Yufang moved out?" she asked.

"Yep," Liu Juan confirmed with a nod. "She moved out the very next day."

When they had visited the hospital, they were so focused on Li Huan’s condition that they had forgotten to mention Song Yufang had moved out.

"Which room did she move to?" Li Huan asked, curious. "Did any room actually agree to take her?"

Sun Xiaowen smiled, covering her mouth. "Of course not. Guess where she ended up?"

"Where?" It wasn’t just Li Huan; Su Qing also looked at Sun Xiaowen expectantly.

Sun Xiaowen grinned. "Since no room was willing to take her, the dorm manager ended up giving her an empty room at the end of the third-floor hallway."

"She gets a room all to herself?" Li Huan’s eyes widened.

"Of course not," Ye Qingqing said. "There’s another girl living with her in that room. Apparently, that girl also fought with her roommates. It wasn’t anything major, but they did get into a physical fight, and afterward, her entire room refused to live with her. So, the dorm manager put her and Song Yufang together."

Chen Meizhen laughed as well. "They’re both troublemakers. I, for one, am curious to see what kind of sparks will fly between them."

"Me too," Li Huan said, nodding eagerly.

"I think, now that Song Yufang is out of our room, we should just pretend we don’t know her and avoid any more conflict. She seems to get worked up really easily." This was Niu Wenying, the quietest girl in the room. She rarely spoke, had the disposition of a peacemaker, and greeted everyone with a smile, hating arguments. Hearing the others, she felt compelled to speak up.

Liu Juan laughed. "Don’t worry, Wenying. We won’t go looking for trouble. We’ll just watch the show from a distance."

"Exactly!" The other girls all nodded in agreement.

Sun Xiaowen added, "Still, the most important thing right now is making Song Yufang apologize and pay for your medical bills. I just hope her parents are reasonable and not as difficult as she is."
