Chapter 1889 - 35: Going to School
Chapter 1889: Chapter 35: Going to School
"Are you going to ride your bicycle to National Security University?" Gu Yunbo followed closely, having nothing else to do. She decided firmly that she would be someone with clear goals, not stopping until she achieves them.
"Let me go with you! I’m planning to attend National Security University too, so it’s good to get familiar." Gu Yunbo clung to the back seat, refusing to let go. The honest Phoenix-brand bicycle with a sturdy crossbar looked great with Meng Fan sitting effortlessly, one foot on the ground, looking casual yet striking.
Gu Yunbo was even more reluctant to let go.
"Are you sure you want to join the rescue team?" His gaze moved away from her, a shallow smile appeared on his handsome face.
Gu Yunbo was dazzled, internally praising the rebirth again.
"Yes! Absolutely sure."
"Then let’s go!"
It wasn’t until Gu Yunbo had been sitting on his bicycle’s back seat for over half an hour that Meng Fan’s quick agreement registered with her. The late autumn sunlight warmly shone upon them, and as the bicycle smoothly and swiftly passed under the trees, an occasional falling leaf drifted down, prompting her to reach out and catch it.
Gu Yunbo sat sideways on the bicycle’s back seat, her fingers resting on the man’s waist in front, trembling slightly with the urge to embrace but afraid.
This was Meng Fan!
When she boldly proposed to be his girlfriend, her courage was matched by inner trepidation and insecurity. Actually, his disagreement was appropriate; he had never liked her! His lack of outright rejection was due to his good upbringing, sparing her some face.
He’s only twenty, at the prime of his youth and ambition. It’s conceivable what he would be like at thirty. In her previous life, she didn’t get the chance to see it, but in this life, she certainly would.
She quietly clenched her fists.
While riding, Meng Fan shook his head with a chuckle, keenly aware of the girl’s inner emotions. In one word, she’s fickle, her thoughts hard to decipher, constantly changing.
"Where is this?" The bicycle stopped, and Gu Yunbo jumped off the back seat, puzzled as she looked at the red teaching building in front of her. The two-story building was already old, painted in red.
"School. If you want to take the college entrance exam, self-studying at home won’t be enough." Meng Fan stopped the bicycle, leading the way inside, saying as he walked, "It’s not too late to start learning now, aren’t you coming? Why are you standing there dumbly?"
The surprise came suddenly, Gu Yunbo smiled as she followed him into the school. Inside, the space wasn’t large, having been closed for years, resulting in its slightly shabby condition, with the whole school carrying a strong seventies vibe.
Meng Fan walking through the school was undoubtedly a striking sight. His tall and straight posture, extraordinarily handsome appearance, and eyes deep as cold stars, exuded an outstanding aura.
Gu Yunbo followed him like a pitiful little sidekick.
"Young Chairman?" As they walked upstairs coinciding with the end of a class, students were coming out, and they encountered the pair head-on. A voice of surprise came from the crowd, followed by excited whispers.
"Is this the Young Chairman? Oh my!"
"He’s really handsome."
"Indeed, not just in the Northern District, but even amongst the Four Regions, there’s no one comparable to the Young Chairman."
Since this school is originally part of the Northern District, most students able to attend ahead of time have some family background, knowing about next year’s entrance exams. Many have heard the Young Chairman’s name, and being called out, the attention is understandable.
Gu Yunbo, standing at 1.65 meters, only up to Meng Fan’s shoulder at 1.87 meters, followed him like a little wife. Sharply overhearing the girls’ quiet discussions, she angrily imagined stabbing little voodoo dolls in her mind.
