Sea Survival: My Luck is Off the Charts

Chapter 362: Fruition and Provocation

Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Fruition and Provocation

A jolt ran through her. Her Spirit Attribute had reached 40 points. It felt like she had discovered a whole new world.

This was very different from when her Constitution broke through 40.

She looked down at the teacup in her hand. ’This Star Feather Flower Tea is this effective?!’

’Just one sip gives me +1 Spirit. If I drink the whole cup, won’t I ascend to the heavens?’

Faye Yardley glanced at the vine, then at the bouquet of blue flowers. She suddenly felt she owed a huge debt of gratitude.

No wonder Yvonne had told her not to feel burdened, saying it was a thank-you gift from her mother.

The warm tea suddenly felt a bit scalding.

Then she gulped it all down in one go.

[Spirit +1]

’It happened again. Awesome.’

And to think, this was only her first time brewing tea from that glass jar.

’It must only be effective when paired with blooming Star Feather Flowers. So, the next time I drink it, it’ll depend on whether the Star Feather Flowers by my bed are still in bloom tomorrow.’

After all, even though they were in water, they already looked a little wilted.

’Has their vitality been absorbed?’

’What a truly magical flower.’

"Vine, did you absorb the vitality of these flowers?"

The vine shot back with a WHOOSH.

Faye Yardley: ...

DRING DRING DRING~

Surprised, she looked at the caller ID and answered.

"Faye, good afternoon. Are you free?"

"Nora Nash? It’s really you calling. I’m free right now. Why don’t you come over and hang out for a bit?"

"Okay."

Faye Yardley was taken aback by his crisp, immediate agreement. She sent him an invitation.

In the blink of an eye, Nora Nash appeared on her raft.

Bella Yardley saw the stranger and was about to charge forward, but Cole Kensington grabbed her. "That’s the master. Don’t cause trouble."

"The master? But isn’t Sis the only master?" Bella, of course, didn’t know that Cole was different from her.

Faye Yardley leaped down from the second-floor balcony and greeted him with a smile. "You’re here! Come on in and sit down. Want a drink?"

But Nora Nash shook his head. Instead, he walked toward her. When he was close, he said, "Hold out your hand. I have something for you."

"Huh? What is it?"

Though confused, Faye Yardley still held out her right hand.

Nora Nash placed a small box in her palm and gave her a smile. "A return gift for you."

"Huh? A return gift for what?" she asked subconsciously.

"The Illusion Flower and the Information Pearl."

Then, Nora Nash glanced in Cole Kensington’s direction before turning back to Faye Yardley. "I’ve delivered the item. I have some other business, so I’ll be going."

"Oh, leaving so soon? It’s almost dinnertime. Why not stay and eat before you go?"

"Next time for sure."

With a wave to Faye Yardley, he vanished.

’He comes and goes so quickly.’

She looked at the small box in her hand. It wasn’t large and felt a little cool to the touch.

Without even looking up, she met Bella’s curious gaze.

Faye Yardley chuckled, clutched the box tightly, and with a push of her feet, leaped gracefully onto the second-floor balcony. She went straight to the balcony sofa, sat down, and opened the box.

Inside was a nearly transparent Crystal flower.

The moment her hand touched it, the flower seeped through her skin and into her body. Her only sensation before she fell unconscious was a coldness spreading from her hand up her arm.

When she woke up, it was already 10:30 AM on September 8th.

The Serendipity Event had even ended, and the temperature outside had instantly returned to normal.

For most people, at least, the current temperature of 21 degrees Celsius was quite comfortable.

[Constitution +1, Strength +2, agility +1]

[Server-wide Announcement: Congratulations to Veridia player Faye Yardley for breaking through 40 in All Attributes and entering Tier Four, unlocking the Tier Four phase for all players. Veridia reputation +1000, personal reputation +1000] x3

"I broke through just by taking a nap?! System Daddy, I love you~"

Faye Yardley had truly just professed her love to the system.

Being lucky was one thing, but to be so lucky that anything she wished for simply came true... that made her an almost unique existence in the entire world.

To say she wasn’t ecstatic would be an absolute lie.

She had originally planned to go to Jay Jonas’s place after the event to try their "stimulation breakthrough method," but now...

’Looks like I don’t need it anymore.’

On the world channel, the sudden server-wide announcement completely derailed the discussion about the Serendipity Event.

[HOLY SH*T, are Yardley and I even playing the same game? Why am I still struggling to get my Four-dimensional Attributes to 20 when she’s already broken through 40?!]

[While I was about to be baked into a human raisin by the high heat, Yardley was secretly grinding away and then stunning everyone!]

[During the Serendipity Event, was Yardley just having one serendipitous encounter after another?]

[Master Gideon and his disciples mostly give weapon rewards, not Attribute boosts. Even if she kept having encounters, there’s no way she could improve that fast.]

[Ever since we came to this survival-at-sea world and got bound to the system, everyone was put on the same starting line. But the gap between people is just getting more and more obvious.]

[Is it because I’m not working hard enough? I’m f*cking working myself to death every day, but it’s completely f*cking useless.]

[Just being able to live and breathe is good enough. Why are you overthinking things? Is that something you should even be thinking about? Have you even secured your water and food for today?]

[I’m tired of even saying I’m envious. My heart is so full of jealousy it’s about to be bigger than my raft, and there’s no room left.]

It wasn’t just the world channel that was buzzing; the various group chats were lively too. But in the groups Faye Yardley was in, there was nothing but a stream of congratulations.

Of course, there were plenty of people who were envious and jealous, wanting to know how to quickly raise their Four-dimensional Attributes. But since no one else was asking, nobody wanted to be the one to stick their neck out. If the moderators thought they had ulterior motives and kicked them from the group, the loss would be too great.

Faye Yardley happily sent out several luck-based Gifts to all her groups, then promptly vanished from the chats again.

Jay Jonas sent a message: "Yardley, do you still need to come for the experience?"

Having already broken through, Faye Yardley thought about it seriously before replying: "Thanks, Mr. Jonas, but let’s wait until next time."

Jay Jonas: "Alright. Just let us know if you need anything. We’re also very curious to see if it’s still effective on High Tier individuals."

Looking at the message, Faye Yardley smiled. ’I guess their guinea pig that walked right up to their door ended up running away, huh? Hee hee~’

On a raft with a distinct sci-fi aesthetic, Logan Langdon heard the system announcement and, in a fit of rage, smashed the wooden table with a single slap.

At this point, he couldn’t bring himself to say a single word of congratulations to Faye Yardley. In fact, he wished he could chop her into pieces and feed her to the fish in the sea.

He was always one step behind her. His own All Attributes were on the verge of breaking through to Tier Four, but once again, she had beaten him to it.

"Don’t tell me she’s really my fated nemesis?!"

After fuming for a while, he finally composed himself, dismantled the broken wooden table, and called Zachary Pierce.

"Commander Pierce, good morning. I’ll skip the pleasantries. I want to join your experiment for stimulating High Tier Attribute breakthroughs."

Zachary Pierce nodded. "Welcome aboard."

Inwardly, he was delighted by the "assist" from Faye Yardley’s sudden announcement. The more experts who participated, the more reliable the experimental results would be.
