Chapter 2238: Chapter 2075: Slimming Tea (2)
"Hmph, strutting your stuff outside, then coming home and getting scared into total submission by your wife."
Qiao Yutong laughed as she mocked Song Xiaodong.
"I’m not scared of my wife, that’s called respect! Respect!" Song Xiaodong argued.
"Those two at your place are tigresses too, always shouting about ’wild woman this, wild woman that’, not even afraid I’ll hear it." Qiao Yutong thought about it and got a bit mad herself.
"Director Qiao, don’t lower yourself to the same level as my wives, they’re just looking for a chance to squeeze stuff out of me." Song Xiaodong said.
"What do you mean?"
"They’re just changing up excuses to ask me for things." Song Xiaodong said.
"Oh..."
"Actually... the reason I asked you out today is I wanted you to take a look at my condition." Qiao Yutong stammered.
"Ah..." Song Xiaodong also paused for a moment.
"What?" Qiao Yutong asked.
"Director Qiao, I, uh, didn’t bring my tools with me when I came..." Song Xiaodong said.
"Then we’re done, you can pick up the tab for dinner." Qiao Yutong’s tone and expression changed instantly.
"Director Qiao, you turn on a dime way too fast." Song Xiaodong complained.
"You didn’t even bring your tools, so this meal of mine was for nothing." Qiao Yutong said.
"Consider today my treat, to make up for last time. Once I’ve cured you, you can treat me back. Isn’t that perfectly fair?" Song Xiaodong said.
Chapter 2076 Is It Nice to Look At?
"If you can’t cure me, I’m making this trip for nothing." Qiao Yutong said, a little disappointed.
"There’s no way we can treat it properly today, but I can at least take a look at your situation first and work out a treatment plan." Song Xiaodong said to Qiao Yutong.
"That’s fine too. Then you can drive me home." Qiao Yutong nodded.
"Alright."
Song Xiaodong drove Qiao Yutong home.
"Let me ask you, how much are those elixirs you gave me actually worth? I don’t want to pop some cheap stuff into my mouth just like that." Sitting in the passenger seat, half-asleep, Qiao Yutong asked Song Xiaodong.
"If you don’t take them casually, how else are you supposed to take them?" Song Xiaodong asked.
"Not taking them casually means, when I eat one, I’m thinking, how much is this one medicine pill worth." Qiao Yutong said.
"Honestly, they’re not that expensive, about twenty thousand yuan each." Song Xiaodong said lightly.
"What? Twenty thousand? You’re lying to me, right?" Qiao Yutong almost shot up from her seat.
Song Xiaodong had given Director Qiao over thirty medicine pills, that was more than six hundred thousand yuan.
How much does it even cost to keep a Mistress?
"Why on earth are you giving me something this expensive? Planning to keep me? If you want to keep me, just give me cash directly." Qiao Yutong said.
"Director Qiao, what are you talking about, watch your image." Song Xiaodong said to Qiao Yutong.
"Wow, one a day, down in one gulp, one swallow and twenty thousand yuan is gone—do you know how many cute little dresses that could buy?" Qiao Yutong muttered to herself.
"Move in and live with my wives, then you can buy as many little dresses as you want." Song Xiaodong said to Qiao Yutong.
"No way!" Qiao Yutong pouted.
"Then be my girlfriend, you don’t have to move in." Song Xiaodong added.
"No." Qiao Yutong said, head lowered.
"Well, once you miss this village, there’s no more of this shop!" Song Xiaodong mimicked Qiao Yutong’s tone.
"You’re annoying, stop imitating me!"
Song Xiaodong dropped Qiao Yutong off at home and sat in the living room, while Qiao Yutong went to the bedroom to change.
After a bit, Qiao Yutong came out in a fluffy yellow set of pajamas, leaning diagonally against the bedroom doorframe, not saying a word, just looking at Song Xiaodong.
Song Xiaodong gave her a once-over. The fluffy yellow robe wrapped tightly around her, her feet in cotton slippers—nothing much to see.
"Can I turn off the lights?" Qiao Yutong asked.
"What are you planning to do?" Song Xiaodong asked, pretending to be nervous.
"You’re so annoying!" Qiao Yutong raised her fist and waved it at him.
"Off, off, off." Song Xiaodong waved his hand.
Qiao Yutong turned off the light behind the door.
Moonlight poured in through the uncurtained window, leaving a neat square of light on the floor. The neon lights in the distance also filtered in through the window. The sofa, table and chairs, TV, wall clock, and calendar in the living room were reduced to indistinct silhouettes.
Sitting on the sofa, eyes gleaming, Song Xiaodong brazenly and greedily let his gaze roam over Qiao Yutong’s body.
Her features and body were blurred, but her outline and those soft yet sharp curves were made strikingly clear by the moonlight.
Time seemed to stand still. Sounds traveled especially slowly: the noise of passing cars, horns, children crying, men shouting, women gossiping—all seemed to slow down.
Qiao Yutong’s breathing grew especially heavy and heated.
Song Xiaodong, however, sat motionless on the sofa like a rock. Only that streak of passion in his eyes turned into a beam of light that fell on Qiao Yutong’s body.
He thought that in the dark, Qiao Yutong wouldn’t notice he was peeking, but his eyes were too bright, giving away his little stunt.
Qiao Yutong walked softly to the middle of the living room. Her slippers made a tentative shuffling sound on the floor. Her bare legs lay exposed in the moonlight, dragging a long shadow, while her upper body was wrapped in darkness.
Song Xiaodong’s eyes and head followed her, turning toward the center of the living room.
In the hazy moonlight and the orange-red neon glow of the city night, facing away from the moon, Qiao Yutong gently loosened the front of her tightly wrapped yellow pajamas.
Song Xiaodong swallowed.
Qiao Yutong slowly slipped one arm out of her pajama sleeve. Without realizing it, she had turned slightly sideways. In the crisscross of light and shadow in the living room, she left behind a silhouette—her body’s outline smooth and upright, while her features and the lines of her skin remained blurred.
