Chapter 1334 - 1361: Franchise Plan
Chapter 1334: Chapter 1361: Franchise Plan
Li Tingyan’s eyes lit up, "That’s indeed a good idea. You know, in the surrounding villages, many farmers have a tough life, always thinking about coming to the island to take advantage."
If we promote the franchise plan, let them join this project and make money together, everyone’s living standards will improve, and unpleasant incidents won’t happen."
Let’s do it.
But these are all arrangements for later.
Right now, what must be done is to first secure the planting land.
Li Tingyan immediately arranged personnel to go to the city to buy various seeds of vegetables and fruits because the temperature here is too low.
The seed cultivation process requires greenhouse technology, and adequate greenhouses must be purchased.
Going back and forth to the city takes two to three days, during which the entire Cold Island is bustling with activity.
Thousands of acres of land have become wilderness, overgrown with weeds, requiring everyone to weed and reclaim the land.
This is a major project, so the production team members, and old and young people from the family compounds, all came out to work.
Nianyang was diluting Spiritual Spring water; with land spanning thousands of acres plus large fruit orchards, the soil holds a lot and needs a significant amount of Spiritual Spring water.
To prevent anyone from noticing issues, Nianyang had to add herbs to the Spiritual Spring water, blending a natural medicinal fragrance to convince everyone she truly would improve the soil.
Li Tingyan found several water trucks from the warehouse and loaded them with the diluted Spiritual Spring water prepared by Nianyang, waiting to irrigate once the land was reclaimed.
The thousand-acre land was not easy to reclaim; even with everyone mobilized, only a hundred acres could be processed in a day, with the seeds now bought and delivered.
But there were still seven to eight hundred acres of land not reclaimed, fearing delays might affect seed quality.
Nianyang proposed burning, burning a hundred acres at a time; handling it this way was fast indeed, but too dangerous as it might trigger a fire.
So Nianyang instructed drawing lines around the perimeter of the land, extinguishing the fire immediately if it exceeded the line, monitored manually.
This way, land that would have taken a week to process was resolved in a day.
Afterward, Li Tingyan drove the water trucks, started to irrigate acre by acre.
The land here had long been unable to produce good vegetables; the soil was dry, yellow in color, almost unmovable, but after Spiritual Spring water was applied, the soil color deepened.
Spraying finished quickly, and the crew immediately began building greenhouses, much like future fruit and vegetable bases cultivating crops.
Rows of white greenhouses were constructed, creating a very grand scene.
Once the foundational work was completed, another two days later, members of the production team and Saozi from family compounds picked up hoes, energetically threw themselves into planting.
Originally, everyone thought it might end up being a wasted effort; unexpectedly, upon entering the sheds, they discovered the soil, once dry and yellow, had turned into a black and brown moist earth, emitting the fresh scent of premium soil, awakening excitement in everyone like mushrooms after rain!
This Miss Li is incredible, she really improved the soil; such good soil is unprecedented and unseen!
Of course, some sneered, feeling it’s merely a superficial effort, looking good but in the end, nothing would grow.
After all, people on Cold Island had tried many folk remedies to grow vegetables without success.
How could Miss Li, with some random concoction of herbal water, succeed?
Regardless of the outcome, having joined in, they all had to work hard; after all, there’s money to be made, whether things grew or not, they did not care.
