Chapter 1033 - 1033 Third Phase Testing
1033 Third Phase Testing
In the palace in Country A.
“Our plans have failed. Everyone was captured.”
“Already? Those useless people.”
“What should we do now?”
“They told us to damage the aviation research base and cause distractions for Zi Yi as much as possible. It doesn’t matter if we’ve failed this since we have a backup plan. Don’t we have a student at Metropolis University? Try to get in touch with him. As a citizen, I’m sure he’ll help us out as long as we make him a good offer.”
“Zi Yi already has doubts about him. He might lose his right to undergo the third phase of testing.”
“He’s one of the top students in A.Uni, so he’s very intelligent. Get him to stay at Metropolis University. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before he regains Zi Yi’s trust.”
“Okay then. I’ll get in touch with the student.”
…
The next day was another sunny hot day. Someone asked Zi Yi what time the testing was going to be conducted today and Zi Yi told them it was taking place in the afternoon. However, lots of students arrived first thing in the morning.
Everyone was chatting about the incident last night.
“I have a feeling last night was a test from Zi Yi.”
“How can that be? Pascal was injured by gunfire last night. I heard he has already gotten kicked out of the testing thanks to this.”
“Was it that bad? He must feel awful.”
“His feelings don’t matter. The rules are the rules.”
“Don’t you think Zi Yi is being unreasonable? Pascal didn’t want to get hurt either, right?”
…
As they spoke, some of them agreed that Zi Yi was a little cruel.
However, most of them did not feel the same way about Zi Yi. Some others simply remained quiet.
“The third phase of testing might be something physical. Since Pascal was injured from gunfire and can’t move, he won’t be able to pass the test even if he tries, right? I think it makes sense for Zi Yi to do this.”
At this moment, an announcement could be heard coming from the entrance reading off some candidates’ names.
Before they could wrap their minds around it, an announcement could be heard. “All the above-mentioned students have failed the third phase of testing. You may leave.”
Everyone promptly exploded on hearing this.
“Why? We haven’t undergone any testing yet, right? Why did we get kicked out?”
“That’s right. We didn’t do anything at all. Why did we fail?”
“Don’t tell me it’s because we said Zi Yi was unreasonable?”
The angry students promptly shut their gaps on hearing this.
They were terribly upset inside.
“I didn’t realize Zi Yi was such a petty woman. In that case, I would rather not study under the likes of her!”
Some of the more prideful students left altogether.
Some of them refused to accept the outcome.
“I can’t accept this. Shouldn’t Zi Yi explain why we failed the test?”
Zi Yi sneered with her arms crossed as she stood in the school’s surveillance room. “What’s there to explain? This is just a part of the test.”
The dean and vice-dean glanced at each other as they stood beside her. They felt sorry for the people who had bad-mouthed Zi Yi.
However, the vice-dean had to ask, “Little Zi, what if you inadvertently lose real talent?”
“Real talent?” Zi Yi laughed. “Once they enter my school, they are considered primary school students to me. If you want to know if they have real talent, we’ll only know after I teach them.”
The vice-dean relaxed slightly. “In that case, go ahead. We can always find more candidates. In any case, lots of people are dying to join your school.”
He chuckled on saying this.
The dean laughed uncontrollably and said, “Little Zi has high standards for the faculty, so not everyone can get in.”
Zi Yi paused and said, “The next time, the application won’t be restricted to university students. Any professional can apply as long as they are good.”
The dean and vice-dean looked at each other and nodded in unison.
“Sounds good. In reality, we can probably find more suitable candidates in society.”
“Uh huh. In any case, your school requires very professional candidates. I think the second batch of students might even surpass the first batch.”
No matter what. They were not looking for more students immediately, so they could take their time.
Zi Yi finally showed up at the o’clock in the afternoon.
Everyone had waited for a long time, so when they finally saw her, they heaved a sigh of relief.
No one dared to utter a word of complaint as they quietly waited for her to test them.
Instead, Zi Yi said, “I’ll take you to the Futuristic Bar tonight for some fun.”
Looks of astonishment emerged on everyone’s faces.
Zi Yi genuinely brought them to the Futuristic Bar as promised.
Tonight, a closed sign could be seen hanging on the front door of the Futuristic Bar. When dozens of students entered the bar, they automatically looked around.
It was their first time at the bar, so they opened their eyes wide in amazement looking at the cutting-edge technology around them.
After some time, Bryan was the first to ask, “Zi Yi, what’s the question for the third round of testing?”
Everyone turned their eyes towards Zi Yi and looked at her enthusiastically.
Zi Yi’s lips suddenly moved upward into a smile. She snapped her fingers in the air as everyone stood in front of her nervously. Something promptly moved. In a split second, the scene in front of them changed. Everyone suddenly found themselves inside a vast space.
Zi Yi finally said, “Your test is to walk out of the bar.”
She disappeared the moment she finished her sentence.
The students were stunned.
“Walk out of the bar? What kind of test is that?”
“I measured it by eye outside yesterday. The bar is around 4000 square feet at best, so it isn’t that big.”
“Zi Yi must have used some kind of magnetic field in here. It won’t be easy to walk out of the bar.”
As everyone spoke, solemn looks emerged on their faces.
Everyone automatically split up to find the exit.
Zi Yi sat at the bar with a glass of wine and a platter of fruit by her side. She watched leisurely as the students ran around inside the space she had created.
A and Little Loli walked up in front of her.
Little Loli giggled and said to Zi Yi, “Sister, how long do you plan on keeping them inside?”
“They will stay there until they are able to come out on their own.”
“Heehee. From the looks of it, they will probably be stuck in there for a few days.”
Little Loli sat down leaning her chin against her hand with one hand as she spoke. She looked at A flirtatiously. “A, why don’t we make a bet? How long do you think it’ll take for them to get out?”
A glanced at her. He could not be bothered to make a silly bet with Little Loli.
Little Loli pretended not to see his reaction. She continued speaking, “I think they will probably stay stuck in there for a couple of days. Why don’t you guess? If you get it right, I won’t keep harassing you, okay?”
A promptly replied, “Tomorrow morning.”
Little Loli pouted and pulled Zi Yi’s top as she complained huffily. “Sister, look at A. The moment I promise not to harass him, he is willing to guess.”
Zi Yi patted her shoulder comfortingly
A proceeded to update her about the recent bar operations.
Zi Yi stayed at the bar until nine o’clock at night when Lu Jingye came over to pick her up and go home.
Lu Jingye asked, “What are you going to do to the students?”
“Keep them inside.”
Lu Jingye nodded his head.
The two of them proceeded to go home.
