Reigning Supreme in countless worlds With Beast taming

Chapter 756 - 750: Unexpected Collaboration

Qin Feng went all-out, his power at full capacity, first refining Rolins, then setting his sights on the old wizard.

Even Rolins, who was stronger in combat, had been killed by Qin Feng, and the Wisdom Wizard, more suited to research in the rear, was of course no match. Moreover, it wasn’t just Qin Feng taking action; several of his top-level Demon Immortals also surrounded the old wizard and unleashed a group beating on him.

In fact, the old wizard was already struggling to cope with the onslaught from the Swallowing Sky Toad and others. Seeing Qin Feng slay Rolins and then come after him, his spirit shook. Although his many years of composure allowed him to remain calm, his lack of strength meant he was soon in grave danger!

Even as the old wizard commanded the Transformed Beasts in the valley to come to his support, Qin Feng paid them no heed.

The strongest of these monsters were only at the Demigod Realm, hardly worth his notice. With a wave of spiritual intimidation laced with Dragon Power, he sent many monsters scurrying in fright.

Even if they dared not disobey the old wizard, their fighting power was greatly reduced. In such a situation, they could only serve as a minor annoyance. A few Space Magic spells from the Swallowing Sky Toad cut off most of the monsters’ paths of attack.

“Ah…”

As the Hellhound bit off half of the old wizard’s body, Qin Feng followed up closely. Thousands of Red Lotus Sword Energies pierced the wizard’s body, slaying him on the spot.

But it didn’t end there. To prevent any chance of the old wizard’s resurrection, petals from the Flying Sword suddenly released Red Lotus Karma Fire, burning his remains to ash, even the Crystal Ball burst into flames. It was only then that Qin Feng could breathe a sigh of relief.

With the old wizard’s death, the monsters that had been fearfully attacking Qin Feng and his companions scattered and fled, vanishing without a trace in moments.

Qin Feng paid no attention to the flight of the monsters, nor did he plan to subdue them; their odd appearances were discomforting.

After all, his aesthetic differed from that of the wizards who, in their pursuit of strengthening monsters, never cared for their appearance, transforming their bodies whimsically, and thus creating a host of discordant creatures. Qin Feng had no intention of collecting these into the Demon Refining Pot to cause himself trouble.

In fact, even the wizards themselves referred to them as monsters, not beasts, indicating that they saw these Transformed Beasts only as cannon fodder.

Having killed the old wizard, Qin Feng was about to take a breather when his expression suddenly changed, and he turned his head sharply to the side!

Rustle, rustle, rustle…

A faint sound was heard, and then two figures appeared.

One was a vine covered in pitch-black, snaking along the ground like a python, emanating a dark aura.

Next to the dark vines floated a snow-white dandelion.

Unlike the vine, the dandelion radiated a vitality far surpassing ordinary Plant Spirits, so vigorous that even Qin Feng was surprised.

He was sure that this dandelion’s cultivation was somehow linked to the Life Principle!

But now was not the time to focus on such things; he needed to pay attention to their formidable strength.

These were two Plant Gods!

Not just gods, but very powerful ones. Judging by their aura, they both seemed to be at the level of Upper Divine Spirits.

This made Qin Feng furrow his brow in concern.

Having just been through an intense battle, killing two troublesome wizards, and now two god-like entities comparable to Profound Immortals appeared, he felt somewhat overwhelmed!

If it were just one Upper Divine Spirit, he could manage by relying on his strong combat prowess and the help of his seven Demon Immortals. He was confident he could contend with any Upper Divine Spirit of this world. However, the appearance of two at once gave him a headache.

The gap in realms was too vast. Even if his combat prowess far exceeded others at his level and he wielded a powerful Immortal Artifact, his Spiritual Beasts could only rely on Innate Divine Abilities to fight. The gap between two major realms was enough to offset the lack in numbers. Should the battle draw out, his Spiritual Beasts would surely suffer casualties.

This was not what Qin Feng wanted to see!

Therefore, he planned to flee!

However, how to escape required some thought.

At the level of an Upper Divine Spirit, ordinary Eye-Blocking Techniques certainly wouldn’t deceive them, and even common Escape Skills might not be faster than them.

Just as Qin Feng was considering how to deal with these two Upper Divine Spirits, he saw the thick, black vine-like Plant God suddenly lash out.

Thinking that the creature was about to attack, Qin Feng was about to deploy his Defensive Divine Power when he was suddenly taken aback.

The vine had not cast a Spell; instead, it had thrown out a dozen or so bodies.

Bodies of ordinary wizards!

Earlier, Qin Feng had focused on dealing with the two powerful wizards, ignoring these lesser ones. When they realized Rolins had been killed and they were no match, they quickly escaped through the secret tunnels of the laboratory. This was why Qin Feng hadn’t noticed them fleeing.

He had previously thought they were hiding in the lab and planned to settle with them later, but now he realized he had been careless, nearly letting them slip away.

But why were these two Plant Gods displaying the corpses of the wizards?

He knew they were definitely not on his side, but he was also an invader from another realm!

Were they showing him the wizards’ corpses as a form of intimidation?

While Qin Feng was puzzled and on guard, the forms of the two Plant Gods ahead began to shift, gradually taking on a somewhat humanoid shape.

Still, those arms made of branches and legs of roots were far from attractive; and the twisted and contorted bodies looked only slightly better than a scarecrow.

“We mean you no harm, mighty one from an Otherworld!”

“The Snow-white dandelion spoke, issuing a gentle female voice, “We are part of the Divine King Palace’s forces. We received news earlier that a mutated monster ambushed a migrating team and captured one of our companions. That’s why we followed the trail here, only to find that you’d already killed those two witches before us!

Just as we arrived, we happened to come across these little witches attempting to flee, so we took the chance to slay them, to prevent any information from leaking out if they escaped!”

With its speech, the fluffy tufts atop its head quivered as though they could scatter with the wind at any moment!

However, Qin Feng knew that unless the other wished so, not even the strongest gales could sweep away the fluff from the top of their heads. As an Upper Divine Spirit, every part of its body could become a formidable weapon, even though it was a plant-born god.

Still, after hearing its words, Qin Feng felt even more surprised!

He hadn’t expected that it would communicate with him and was even trying to convey goodwill!

“Are you under the command of the Divine King Palace?”

Qin Feng latched onto the crux of the other’s statement.

“Yes!”

The pitch-black vine remained mostly silent, letting the dandelion converse with Qin Feng: “We understand the intentions of you outsiders. However, it’s not a problem. The Divine King had already given the order not to oppose you, even before you entered the Canglan Realm. Those who had gone to the battlefield withdrew midway after receiving the command. This is something you must have noticed!”

“Huh?”

Qin Feng’s spirit stirred, instantly recalling the great battle with the plant spirits, where some of them had inexplicably been knocked out of the battlefield, leading to a significant decline in the remaining spirits’ morale and subsequently causing chaos and retreat.

“Were those spirits who withdrew from the battlefield part of the Divine King Palace’s forces? Did you arrange their retreat?”

He inquired!

“Yes!”

The dandelion bobbed its fuzzy round head.

“Why would you do this?”

Qin Feng was puzzled: “We are invaders, yet you do not resist and even retreat from battle willingly. Why is this?”

He genuinely couldn’t understand.

It might be excusable for a few divine spirits to act this way, possibly feeling overwhelmed by the cultivators’ might or the fierceness of the battle, resulting in a few spirits with weaker mental fortitude. Quite normal.

But now, discovering that so many powerful divine spirits shared this non-resistance mindset, and even the most powerful Divine King of this realm was doing the same, moreover actively ordering their forces to retreat, it seemed utterly unbelievable to him.

The Divine King!

It was not merely a title one could achieve through cultivation. In such a Medium World, to become a Divine King, it’s crucial to be favored by the Heavenly Dao. Otherwise, it would be difficult to achieve immortality in the Medium World through cultivation alone!

Yet the Divine King disregarded the world’s benefit and did such a thing. Was it not afraid of punishment by the Heavenly Dao?

“Alas…”

The dandelion let out a soft sigh, its soft and gentle female voice stirring pity within anyone who heard it, and even Qin Feng felt his heart nearly resonating with it!

This startled him, and he quickly fortified his spirit, to avoid being entrapped by its method.

But he soon realized that this was not a spell the dandelion was using; it was a genuine sigh from within. Only because of its formidable strength, capable of resonating with the World Will of this place, did it exert such an effect.

The dandelion continued, “If it were possible, who would want to see their world taken over by outsiders? We, as the World Guardians, certainly do not wish for this either!

But what can we do against such circumstances?

At this point, we can only choose to work with you and face the impending catastrophe together!”

“Cooperate?”

Qin Feng pointed to his own nose: “With us?”

“Yes!”

The dandelion said, “You needn’t be surprised. Let me explain slowly. Thousands of years ago, the Previous God King led an expedition to a Small World. What should have been a sure success turned into an unexpected event…”

As the dandelion recounted the tale, Qin Feng, as he listened, gradually began to understand.

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to fight the cultivators and repel these foreign invaders.

It was just that compared to the cultivators, they despised and feared the witches even more, which led them to cooperate with the cultivators instead!

That expedition from thousands of years ago, which the gods of the Canglan Realm thought would be an opportunity to enhance the world’s strength, turned out to be targeted by witches as well.

When the witches discovered the existence of the Canglan Realm, they were overjoyed. Sёarᴄh the NôᴠeFire.ηet website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Even though the Divine King withdrew promptly upon realizing the error, it was still not enough to shake off the witches, who instead followed them back into the realm, planning to seize the entire Canglan Realm!

The Divine King, knowing that the Canglan Realm’s strength was no match for the witches at the time, and feeling guilty for attracting them with the expedition, spared no effort in using a forbidden method. It channeled all its power into the most talented of its descendants. It even fused its comprehended laws with the heir, and with the World Will pushing from behind amidst the impending danger, it managed to create a Top Level Divine Spirit in a remarkably short time!
