Reborn with a Space: Hoarding Food and Raising My Kid

Chapter 574 - 452: Rescuing People in Azuregard City 3

Chapter 574: Chapter 452: Rescuing People in Azuregard City 3

Solomon Sterling wasn’t the type of elder to put on airs and act unreasonably. You could tell just by looking at Saul Sterling; the man who raised such a son was definitely not the kind to flaunt his seniority.

The nights in Morhaven were as tranquil as ever. But as the group rode the Golden Crow over the city’s waterfront, Flora Bloom’s expression suddenly changed.

"Golden Crow, wait!"

The Golden Crow began to circle above the waterfront.

"Flora? What’s wrong?" Lex Cross knew Flora Bloom best. Something must have happened for her to show such a conflicted expression.

"That honorary uncle of yours on Earth is in trouble."

"You mean... Milton Adler?"

"The school of Horse-step Fish I gave him back then has swum back. They got lost around the Fire of the Earth’s Core. Right now, they’re with Ash and the Great Crow."

"The situation in Azuregard City is grim. My Horse-step Fish told me the Acker family has occupied the Azuregard Base. Although Milton Adler is a cunning old fox, he’s still a great commander. It would be a shame if he died.

But, the Acker family... do you know them?"

"The insignificant Acker family is nothing to worry about," Solomon Sterling said coldly. "I have some history with them. If you have a friend being held there, just go and bring them back now."

In Azuregard City, night was nothing but darkness. The original Naval Base had now become a residential area for humans.

The dedicated power generators were destroyed during the fight with Milton Adler’s troops when the Acker family first arrived.

The Golden Crow’s massive form, radiating a dazzling fiery light, was especially conspicuous in the night sky over Azuregard City. From a distance, it looked like a giant firebird.

A large portion of the original Ability Users from Azuregard Base had joined the Acker family and were currently on patrol under Zachary Acker’s command.

For some reason, Sea Beasts had been trying to come ashore and attack the base all day. While they posed no threat to the Acker family, for most of the original Ability Users of Azuregard City, these High-level Sea Beasts were more than enough to take their lives.

"What a pain. If you ask me, it would be better if you natives just died. You’re a waste of food and a waste of my time."

Most of the patrol members behind him were former subordinates of Milton Adler from Azuregard City. They had been unable to resist the Acker family’s oppression and were forced to surrender by shortages of food and supplies.

They had watched their brothers fall one by one, some dead, some injured. If they hadn’t surrendered, their wives and children would have suffered too.

Their own lives were expendable, but hope was not.

These newcomers were detestable, but they repelled the Sea Beast attacks and defended against zombie sieges. By joining them, they could at least eke out a survival and bide their time.

"Hmph, you know what’s good for you. It’s your good fortune to have submitted to the Acker family. If one or two of you manage to reach Nebula Level, you can return with us to the Star Universe District in the future and enjoy endless glory and wealth."

The men behind him didn’t respond. Their faces were all etched with the same expression, their eyes filled with humiliation. ’If we ever reach Nebula Level,’ they thought, ’the first thing we’ll do is avenge our brothers!’

"So just serve the Acker family with peace of mind. Don’t be like that Milton Adler and his handful of men, who actually plotted to escape. And look what happened—they’re all locked up.

I’m actually quite merciful. I’m just starving them. Once they can’t take it anymore, they’ll naturally submit. Just like you all did!"

Suddenly, the sky was enveloped by a massive, fiery silhouette. Instantly, the bone-chilling air turned scorching hot. If the temperature rose any higher, it felt like it could roast a person alive.

"Who goes there! How dare you trespass on the Acker family’s territory in the middle of the night!" Zachary Acker’s voice echoed through the night sky. Not only could Flora Bloom’s group hear it, but everyone in Azuregard City was likely jolted awake by the shout.

Zachary Acker looked up. The giant firebird overhead illuminated the entire Azuregard Base, making it as bright as day.

A petite and stunningly beautiful woman stood on the firebird’s head, looking down on the people below as if they were ants.

"This is Earth’s territory! How dare an outsider like you run wild here!"

"Who are you!"

"I’m looking for Milton Adler. Hand him over, and we will leave immediately."

Alarm bells went off in Zachary Acker’s mind.

’This firebird... its oppressive Fire Element Energy is completely suppressing me, a Nebula Level Fire Ability User. I can’t even muster a spark of my own Fire Element superpower.’

"You want me to hand him over just because you say so? Who the hell do you think you are? Get her!"

Zachary Acker had intended for the Ability Users behind him to lead the charge and test the waters. But half a second after his command, the people behind him remained completely still.

They had recognized Flora Bloom the instant they saw her.
