It was understandable. Middle-level Crystal Cores contained the most energy. For a superpower user, absorbing one hundred Level 3 Crystal Cores was less effective than absorbing a single Middle-level Crystal Core.
But for the two hundred twenty thousand Crystal Cores Flora Bloom held, regardless of their level, their main advantage was the sheer quantity.
Aside from the meat, Flora Bloom had provided all these supplies. So, she left the twenty-thousand-odd Crystal Cores for Sherman Lynch, who had contributed the most, and took the remaining two hundred thousand to absorb herself.

But her two elemental superpowers had already consumed all the energy from the two hundred thousand Crystal Cores, leaving nothing for her lowest-level Gold Ability.
Her Gold Ability was still only Low-level 3.
Flora Bloom did some mental math, her head aching. Two hundred thousand Crystal Cores had raised her Water Element, originally High-level 1, by two levels. Her Fire Element, originally Middle-level 1, had jumped six levels.
In other words, to get her Gold Ability to High-level 3, she would need at least fifty thousand Crystal Cores, preferably Level 2 or higher.
What Flora Bloom didn’t expect was that an opportunity to earn Crystal Cores would arrive so soon.
She took a bath and ate in her space, harvested the mature rice, wheat, and vegetables in the Spirit Field and planted new ones, then left the space.
Lex Cross was lying on his side on the bed in her room. When she came out, she found herself face-to-face and eye-to-eye with him.
"You scared me!"
A flash of worry crossed Lex Cross’s eyes as he looked at Flora Bloom. But he quickly seized the opportunity to kiss her red lips and said,
"Want to go out with me and relax a bit?"
Flora Bloom’s eyes lit up. "Can I? Will my mom agree?"
Flora Bloom was now over eight months pregnant, and her due date was getting closer. Perhaps because the due date was near, she had been feeling very tired lately.

The two arrived at the golden parasol tree where the Golden Crow rested. Lex Cross held Flora Bloom and, with a few leaps, arrived inside the Golden Crow’s nest.
The Golden Crow was still covering the phoenix egg, as if fulfilling its duty to incubate it.
"Golden Crow, how long will it take for this egg to hatch a little phoenix?"
The Golden Crow tilted its head. "I don’t know either, Master. You’re not scheming for it again, are you? I’m telling you, you should give up now! This egg is from a phoenix’s rebirth after nirvana. No living person can become its master! As for forcing it... it might be possible, but only if this man beside you recovers his peak strength and is willing to expend his lifeblood!"
Flora Bloom pouted. "I know, I know! You’ve said it more than once! I was just asking. Why are you overthinking it?"
At that moment, Five, Saul Sterling, The Crown Prince, and Limao appeared under the parasol tree.
"Boss! Are you and Sister-in-law leaving now?"
Lex Cross glanced at Flora Bloom. "I need to give Five and the others some instructions first."
Flora Bloom nodded. "Go on, I’ll wait for you here!"
Lex Cross jumped down from the golden parasol tree to join Five and the others. A black energy enveloped them, deliberately shielding their conversation so Flora Bloom couldn’t hear.
"Boss, we’ve used every kind of torture imaginable, but Nina Rook just won’t talk!" Five frowned and clenched his fists.
"Yeah! If we torture her too harshly, I’m afraid we’ll kill her. If Nina Rook’s soul leaves and finds a new body again, we’ll be in an even more passive position!"
"And now that she knows we want to kill her, she keeps insisting on seeing you, saying she won’t talk until she does!"
Lex Cross nodded, his face cold and harsh, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous light. "Have you found the people who came with Nina Rook?"
Saul Sterling nodded. "One of them was that man from a couple of days ago. We’ve asked him everything; he should have spilled it all!
"I’ve also locked onto the locations of the others. Boss, when you two get back, we can go capture them as soon as possible."
Lex Cross shook his head. "Don’t alert the enemy. Those servants are just small fry, not a major threat. I suspect Nina Rook isn’t the only one who came."
"What? Boss, are you sure?"
"The poison in Flora’s body... even she herself didn’t notice it. And Nina Rook has been under our guard the whole time, so how was the poison administered?

"Hey, why are you pinching my face again?" Flora Bloom covered her cheeks and rubbed them. Suddenly, the hand rubbing her cheek froze.
"Lex, do you think I’ve gotten a lot fatter recently?" ’Did I misjudge my own constitution? In my past life, I only stayed thin because of the lack of food.’

With a straight face, Lex Cross looked her over from left to right, then spun Flora Bloom around to inspect her from top to bottom.
