However, it would take at least half a month to train a decently good Spellcaster of Curse. After all, the drop rate of a Spellcaster of Curse’s items, skills, and channeling materials was known to be extremely low.

This was the difference between the Brotherhood and other guilds. Guilds would usually arrange for all the teams to be trained together collectively at once and fulfill the guild’s need. However, Brotherhood split themselves into smaller teams and trained by themselves.

Even if it was just for half a second, Lin Jie was able to move back by five yards and once again sent out his attacks.

“I think Jie is great at pulling aggro, even much better than a main tank!” exclaimed Zheng Ziliang. Bu Yi nodded in agreement. Indeed, Lin Jie was strong enough to be a main tank. His health points, defense, awareness of position, and ability to pull aggro were top notch.

Another horse let out a loud neigh. Its body was blood red, and the flames under its legs burnt wildly as it charged towards Mona.

When a Savage Horse died, another one of them would run towards Mona and merge. This map was big as the Holy Light Temple dungeon was testing players’ ability to find clues and read maps, complete missions, and fulfill the NPCs’ expeditions. The right method would be to attract Savage Horse to the far corner of the map before the start of the battle. After killing one, another would run towards Mona. During that period, the damage it receives would be increased by 50%. Before it reached its destination, they had to kill it.

However, Lin Jie intentionally allowed it to reach Mona.

Because this would allow them to enter Hero-Level.

He was able to strengthen any mount into a royal mount, increasing all its stats greatly. The mount would also gain a special battle ability.

Royal Forward Sprint!

The Forward Sprint of Knights in the plain field was already powerful. Coming from the Boss Mona with one that was a few levels above, even Mixed Breathless would be killed instantly!

Just as the Boss’ long spear pierced through Mixed Breathless’ shield, a large purplish black hand grabbed him and pulled him away. Lin Jie saved Mixed Breathless from Forward Sprint! After losing his target suddenly, the Boss entered a state of paralysis.

Gray Wind immediately started to chant a curse to reduce the Boss’ stats. His Defense was dropped to 700 points, and they were finally able to damage him.

Commander Mona was one of the few Bosses with as many as six stages in total. There was no doubt about his battle capabilities, and many players referred to him as the “Unbeatable Boss”. Even if the entire team was at Level 60, Mona’s explosive attacks would still be able to kill more than half of normal teams.

In the first stage, Mona could only use one skill: Royal Forward Sprint. He would randomly charge towards a target within his sight and deal 200% damage that ignored Defense. Other than the Shield Specialists and Lin Jie, everybody else would be killed instantly! It was not difficult to counter this move. If they could avoid the Boss’ attack right before his attack landed, they would not receive any damage and send the Boss into a paralyzed state. With Lin Jie’s abilities, it was achievable. The terrifying thing was the Boss’ passive skill: Royal Horsemanship.

[Royal Horsemanship]: You can unleash the full powers of your mount without forward sprint. Every attack will deal 10% to 100% additional damage, and ignore 10% to 80% Defense.

The main tanks had to be extremely cautious of the Royal Horsemanship. If its effects were to be completely triggered, even the main tank would be taken down in one move. The others had to react immediately to ensure that they would not lose any member. On top of that, the Savage Horse that the Boss was riding was also a difficult fellow to handle. Its Attack was over 1,000, and there was a chance of it sending its target flying.

“Before the cooldown of Death Grip is up, maintain your focus. Once you realize that you are the target of Royal Forward Sprint, immediately prepare a high-grade health potion,” said Lin Jie. The method to use Death Grip to counter the Boss’ Forward Sprint might not work every time. After all, he had to time it right within that 0.2 seconds of the sprint. There was not much time to react.

Domestic Fat Cattle observed the entire process of Lin Jie countering the Boss’ Royal Forward Sprint. Suddenly, he stood beside the main tank and smiled. “I’ll be the bait and counter Royal Forward Sprint.”

“You?” Lin Jie was shocked.

Just then, Mona roared and locked onto Domestic Fat Cattle! He was a Fire Mage, so he would not be able to handle even a normal attack. Lin Jie broke out in a sweat for him.

“Hehe, watch me.” A proud grin broke out on Fat Cattle’s face. He stared intensely at the Boss’ movement. Just as the long spear was about to land on him and pierce him, he waved his wand and disappeared. Only two words were left behind, “Blink!”

“Amazing!” Lin Jie exclaimed. He did not expect Fat Cattle to be so skillful.

The Boss became paralyzed, and everybody took the chance to deal damage! At that moment, Wantless came over and smiled gleefully. “Let me try.”

“Let me try as well.” Dejected Night walked over and stood with pride.

A Mage’s Blink allowed them to instantly teleport. However, it was still risky as the skill required 1 second to cast. In other words, one would have to predict beforehand and cast the skill just 1 second in advance.

Lin Jie nodded. “Okay! Attack with all your might! Inksnow, Breathless and Old Shield, leave it to the Mages to counter the Forward Sprint. Focus on blocking the monster!”

“Yes!” The three Shield Specialists replied. Even the Mages were standing out on the frontline, why should they be afraid?

The Savage Horse rushed towards Inksnow.

“Earth Elemental Wrist Guard, Unwavering!” Lin Jie guarded Inksnow, and the horse ran into the Kiara Beast King Armor. The collision’s force sent a huge tremor onto Lin Jie’s chest through the gold armor. However, he did not budge. Broken Blade glowed in a golden light, and Shield Cut was cast. The blade sliced across the Boss’ throat.

“Charge towards them!” yelled the Boss in anger.

Royal Horsemanship appeared again!

Wantless stood forward. His skill was comparable to that of Domestic Fat Cattle and was even stronger. It was not a problem for him to avoid a skill.

Blink!

The Boss ran into empty space once again and became paralyzed. Dejected Night’s performance was amazing as well. The three Mages collaborated, and their progress was far greater than what Lin Jie had expected! The Boss’ health bar continued to drop, and 20,000 health points were gone.

Bang—

The Boss stopped abruptly. He held his long spear and raised it viciously as if he was trying to pierce the sky! Mona entered the second stage, and his long spear would randomly sweep an area around him. If someone came into contact with the spear, they would receive over 3,000 points of damage.

“Bu Yi, stand at 1827, 9384, 9190 and don’t’ move. The rest follow the spear. Be careful, don’t receive more than one attack, and use protective skills at all times,” warned Lin Jie.

The spear in the second spot had a blind spot, which naturally went to Bu Yi for her to stay there. She would be able to heal all the members and buff them, while the others had to rely on their own instincts to survive.
